About Us
The Lesser Horse Men is a small, primarily PvE guild, although it's members do enjoy AB and other PvP skirmishes with alliance members and hope to improve thier PvP skills. They are Leaders of a small PvE alliance.
Formed in early 2007 by a close knit group of friends who all enjoy Guild Wars, the guild's name is inspired by the book Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. Following this trend, most members have at least one character that follows the Lesser Horsemen naming convention. (for example: Grievous Bodily Harm, Cruelty to Animals or No Alcohol Lager.)
In further homage to author Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, Lesser Horse Men officers chose other elements from the books when designing the guild, including:
- The guild cape features an image of A-Tuin, the great turtle that swims through space while carrying the four elephants that hold up the Disc.
- The guild tag is an abbreviation of the name Binky, Death's horse in Discworld.
Recruitment
The Lesser Horse Men is not actively recruiting at this time; most members prefer to form friendships with fellow players before inviting them to the guild, believing that this encourages the close-knit and relaxed environment. Most guild decisions are handled diplomatically, by popular vote. Feel free to contact the leader or any other officer in-game for more information.
Since most members have limited time to play during the week, time playing or frequency of log-ons is not a requirement to continue membership. Most players have work, school and other things keeping them busy, resulting in a pretty laid back pace. They generally can be found roaming the continents at night (PST) and most weekends. Despite real-life responsibilities, members get together to help each other frequently and often go solo, with guildies or alliance members. Because everyone's play schedule varies, The Lesser Horse Men encourage the use of alliance chat/teaming with alliance members as often as possible.
