Guild Wars Wiki talk:Elections/2008-04 bureaucrat election/SHINZO
need have any issues you want to test me on? or need help with? just ask ________________
What exactly do you think a Bureaucrat does...? Unless this is some kind of joke, it looks like you believe that a Bureaucrat is somehow related to Guild Wars itself... maybe...? Assuming this is not a joke, A Bureaucrat is a user who's given the authority to promote/demote Sysops and who is involved in the Arbitration Committee. Given that you created this account... maybe 10 minutes ago, and you have no contributions other than the actual creation of this nomination itself... well... *Defiant Elements* +talk 04:21, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
- With approx four contributions, I do not believe you are ready. Your contributions were actually made only here. --People of Antioch 04:24, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
Now, now, let's give the poor guy a chance. — Skakid 04:26, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
- Don't take this the wrong way, but no, let's not. There is a minimum standard of activity and experience one would expect of someone taking the position of bureaucrat, and this user clearly doesn't meet it. I'm not usually one to support things like minimum numbers of edits or the like, but at the same time that doesn't mean the extreme opposite is acceptable, either. (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 08:06, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
- Honestly, I (and 99% of users, I suspect) are not going to support somebody they've literally never heard of and is far less qualified than other candidates. Calor 19:41, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
guess: skakid's sock. - Y0_ich_halt 20:11, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
- I asked him actually, he says it wasn't him. *Defiant Elements* +talk 20:16, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
- oh, k then. - Y0_ich_halt 20:20, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
- It's funny, SHINZO, that you are allowed to run for bcrat but can't even vote for yourself.. poke | talk 21:00, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
- LOL @ Poke and completely agree! I think if you don't have enough edits to vote, then maybe you shouldn't be allowed to run. I think we need a change on policy there IMHO. -- Salome 00:30, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
seems qualified to me. where do I vote? ~Medaer --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:75.104.40.173 (talk).
- Unless you have an account that meets the contribution requirements, you can't. -- ab.er.rant 02:20, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
- I'm going to have to agree. While my time here is limited, I have neither heard of this account nor do I think he has spent enough time on this wiki to actually know the policies and the community that he will be defending. I wish you the best of luck, but I hope that you don't put too much heart into it. I do hope, however, that this inspires you to add to the wiki to earn that reputation that will later allow you to become a b-crat; you're just very far from ready at this time. I am definately voting for this guy. I know I have enough contribs; as do most of my friends. This will be lulz. 12.175.230.36 19:54, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
- anon and friends are going to vote a wiki newbie that starts a his bcrat election but can't even vote himself? something is going wrong here... —ZerphaThe Improver 20:20, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
- Unregistered users can't vote, so no, they won't. -- Brains12 \ Talk 20:21, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
- (Edit conflict) Well anons cannot vote any way, so I dont think we have much to worry about... unless they have contributing accounts :P --Shadowphoenix 20:21, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
- ah ok, i knew only registered contributors with 100+ edits can vote or something, so i wondered whether the policy changed for some reason. —ZerphaThe Improver 20:28, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
- lol unregistered. 12.175.230.38 20:29, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
