Much time has passed since the end to the War in Kryta; much time in which the White Mantle has lost their grip and fled into the Maguuma Jungle. The Shining Mantle was short-lived, merged into the Seraph, and work directly under Queen Salma. Or that was the plan. Many of the Shining Mantle disagreed with being dissolved into the Seraph under the argument of not having yet atoned for their actions as the White Mantle. They wished to be given the title of “mantle” as their punishment for their times serving in the oppressive order.
The Shining Mantle now exist as the vanguard of the Seraph, and since the end of the Battle of Lion’s Arch, we have hunted down the White Mantle in the Maguuma.
The search has been long and hard, morale is lowering, and it has returned to that time of year when the MantleCon was held. So to raise morale, MantleCon shall once more return, in memory of those who have done right, and of rememberance of what wrong was done - to learn from the past and continue to strive forward to a new day.

Note: The event will be held on a Sunday this year because of scheduling issues. I am unable to host the event on Saturdays at a good time.
Main Activities[edit]
- Costume Contest
In the past, there have been explicit themes to the costume contests and, in turn, multiple costume contest themes each year; this year, that all changes. Instead of a singular theme for each contest, there will be a group of optional themes that you can choose from! The winners will be the best that fit any one theme that has a good combination of various armor sets. A single armor set or a single costume will not win. Likewise, a tonic will not win either. Reason being that those are uncreative and we favor those with minds. Festival and costume hats can be part of costumes.

Last year’s Golden Theater was a huge hit. In turn, it shall be making a return! However, a new year comes a new tale, and it also brings a new challenge. This year, instead of having a pre-chosen writer of humor write the play, it shall instead be up to you! The MantleCon Workshop has a prize for playwrights of featuring their play in the Golden Theater, with up to four winners.

- Invasion! (Trivia)
An actor shall play the role of an invading mursaat, and party-goers must defeat this menace with the power of knowledge. Questions will be asked and winners will each receive a prize. There will be a total of 15 winners per district, 10 hard questions and 5 easy questions shall be asked (one person can only win 3 easy questions). Hard questions reward 1 Royal Gift, and easy questions reward 2 War Supplies.
- Scavenger Hunt
All good parties have treasure hunts. A week prior to the event (April 1st), a short list shall be given containing clues about 7 items that must be collected. There will be 3 winners per district. First place gets 20 Royal Gifts, second and third place gets 250 War Supplies.
- Finale
No party should go without a finale. Join the event to find what is planned for that – every event needs a surprise.
Side Activities:[edit]
- Mime
An old favorite. A mime will be standing in the district at the appropriate time to challenge folks to who can guess the action the person is doing first.
- Rock Paper Scissors
Another old favorite. Rock-Paper-Scissors will be hosted in a game corner. The host shall pick a person and those who beat him win a prize.
- Guess That Tonic!
A brand new and simple game: In every district, five staff members (their names will be announced in the district) will line up with a mysterious tonic in their inventory. One by one, people will vote who they think will turn into what (e.g., “It’s time for Konig Des Todes to use a tonic!” “Seer!”). Those who guess right will win. You can only win one time.
