Shoudlt his not be called April Fools' Day?--Mortazo 14:30, 1 April 2007 (EDT)

Improved description and added a screenshot.Tuor Son Of Huor 14:41, 1 April 2007 (EDT)
Hi. I thought the proper name is actually April Fool's Day, and that's how it appeared in the first few references I checked, and in some popular novel and movie titles. However, it does appear that the plural "fools" and not "fool" is correct. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 03:29, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

Before and After image[edit]

As far as I know the only place where you were able see your changed character have been said 3 towns only. Isn't it misleading to put up an image that suggests that the change carried through to the character selection screen? People could be lead to believe that there must be something wrong with their game because their changed gender does not appear in the CSS. The fan forums sport lots of those pictures now and they always show the changed character in town. We should go with that instead. Wiking 10:32, 2 April 2007 (EDT)

But the change did carry through to the CSS. At least until you mapped out of the town... --SnogratTrigsig.png 12:05, 2 April 2007 (EDT)
Yeah, I was told by my guild members after I typed this and I deleted my comment...but somehow miraculously it appeared again, making it possible for you to reply. :) Wiking 16:57, 2 April 2007 (EDT)
Yes someone reverted as you should not delete anything on a talk page here :) if you want to strikeout text you can to signify you realised you made a mistake then that is fine. you do that by putting the tags <s> at the start and </s> at the end --Lemming64 17:02, 2 April 2007 (EDT)
The reasoning is that someone else might just ask the same question, whilst as long as you have asked it and it has been answered the chances are that someone else thinking the same as you will see your question. --Lemming64 17:03, 2 April 2007 (EDT)
Just an addition to this... I found that after a gender change, the change was displayed on the selection screen for a random amount of time. I had selected each of my characters in turn and moved them to a 'gender change' outpost so I could take photo's of their new gender. At first some of them stayed in the altered state, but as i gradually worked my way through, they 'reset' themselves and went back to what they should have been, despite staying in the 'gender change' outpost. Maybe it just takes some time for the system to recognise what the gender really is before it puts it right. -- Ibiris 17:32, 2 April 2007 (EDT)
I don't know if it's just me, but whenever I change a character by going to the character selection screen instead of by logging out, the game "forgets" the last things I did - for example, if I move from Vabbi to Kamadan and go to the character selection screen, that character will be displayed on the Vabbian background. After choosing another character and then going back to the character selection screen, the first character is "fixed", but the second one is then "broken". Ok, I'm sure a made a mess and no one is still reading : D But what happened to me this time was that a character in a switched gender would only remain so in the character selection screen after changing character once - without changing or after changing more, the character would be in her common gender. Wait, change genders???[edit]

Same Here, I was unable to see myself as a guy so I am waiting for this April when I will for sure make it. :) If they added on I would be ok with that as long as they have the gender change. -- Natalie Black User NatalieBlack sig.jpg 00:48, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
I distinctly recall that the developers are thinking of making a tonic for gender switch and they probably will introduce this during April's Fools. Ah I found the source. Barinthus 01:41, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

Somebody once asked me if we might offer the "Gender Changing" option through the in-game store at some point in the future. I said I wasn't sure if there was a real demand for it, but I love talking to Marketing about various ideas that fans have, so if you think this is a viable request, I will pass it along. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 05:26, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
Is that for me, or my character? --71.229.204.25 05:27, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
The development team for Guild Wars is a mass of multi-talented, bright--nay, brilliant!--individuals. But my reference here was to one's character, not one's self. For such an amendment is a matter that even this team could not arrange. :D -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 05:35, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
Damnit. --71.229.204.25 05:38, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

Or change every single armor piece to the FoW armor skin, and the FoW armor skin to something REALLY crappy, that would piss off a lot of far too rich people Rhydeble 20:49, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
