Talk:Battledepths
Dungeon or Explorable Area? It was defenitly an EA in previrew, but it may well be a dungeon after full release, considering gw.dat. Backsword 15:39, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
- I dropped a comment in your talk page a few hours ago about this, Backsword. Battledepths was an explorable area during the preview weekend but will turn into a dungeon later in the storyline, just like some outposts in kourna turn into missions when you complete vabbi. Depths of Tyria or Far Shiverpeaks[edit]
It looks like an explorable area in the far shiverpeaks, but I am gussing it is really the depths of tyria? --Lemming 22:08, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
Primary Continuation[edit]
My guess is this is where the primary quest continues upon full release, where you travel to fight the destroyer. I am likely wrong though. Dancing Gnome 09:28, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
vipe note: wrong?[edit]
if i remember right, i only had to return to the outpost when i once entered the depths via asura gate (near drakes). i did not activate any res shrine and were killed. i got the message to return to the outpost. but when i activated a shrine another time (entering this area "regular" from the Eye of the North over the Ice Cliff Chasms, i was simply ressurected. —ZerphaThe Improver 19:49, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
- Right now, my character gets send back to the outpost when wiped. Even though I talk to the Beacon. Finishing Depths Destruction is not enough. The changes were reversed with this explaination: "Rv:Perhaps, but this is about the explorable area." Funny, there is no Battledepths mission area. It is always an explorable area.
- Beat Eye of the North, "Attack on Jalis´ Camp" and I get the Dwarven Raider Blessing and still I get immediately send back to the outpost, when wiped. Doesn´t matter if I am entering from Ice Cliff Chasms or the Central Transfer Chamber. Weird rare bug?
Boss Map?[edit]
the boss map seemed really wrong, will someone upload a new 1? ShoGunTheOne 18:23, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
Can't enter[edit]
I rushed a mule character to EoTN to do wintersday quests. Normally I use Battledepths to get to Olafstead but I was not able to enter Battledepths. Never happened to me. Any idea how to open the entrance? – Barinthus 18:45, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
- I figured it out, you need to get Gwen as a hero before the area opens to you. – Barinthus 19:07, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
No friendlies[edit]
Just entered Battledepths with a new char (who has Gwen) and found there are no dwarves in there. I guess this is to do with where I am in the storyline. Unless someone else can add it, I'll test periodically to see what the prerequisites are. Elwynd 15:38, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

Getting there[edit]
Isn't this page missing a "Getting there" section per GWW:LOCATIONS? --BramStoker (talk, contribs) 01:09, 27 March 2011 (UTC)

- From Ice Cliff Chasms: "The portals to the Battledepths and Norrhart Domains are closed until your character uses the Scrying Pool in the Hall of Monuments to view the First Vision cinematic." --Silver Edge 15:36, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
