If guild is new, may the leader be the only one designing the first cape?

The leader is always the only one who is able to choose and change cape design. - anja talk 19:14, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

My friend is an officer and he changed it.--Le Roi Phenix 22:12, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

That's just not true. Colonel Hawk 03:05, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
Possible, I saw the mention of Officer being able to in the OFFICER info page, unless the mechanics were changed in game or the note in wikki needs edited. MystiLefemEle 12:25, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
here is that link Guild Officer MystiLefemEle 12:33, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
Had one of my officers attempt to make change to our cape, was not able to. Made edit to the above linked page to reflect. MystiLefemEle 17:52, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

I'm confused about the gold cape trim... What do you have to win exactly and what i got out of it was that the trim will last forever regardless of the season so even 10 years from now my guild would still have it, Is that correct?

Win any of the special events as mentioned on the front page under the heading: Trim as tp permanence, only the gold trim is permanent. Oh, btw, please sign after your comments, please...MystiLefemEle 08:45, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

Math?[edit]

anyone know how many cap combos are possible? i have no idea how to do the math for that but i was just wondering75.172.46.207 02:02, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

added the math that i did was 32 Cape detail X 174 guild emblems X 9 cape trims not including Special Gvg trims, or the color combos but i guess you could multiply that by 750 (assuming that there are 250 colors and that each lvl has access to the full 250 range of colors.)75.172.46.207 14:00, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
sorry im le tired and no i wont fire ze missiles.75.172.46.207 14:29, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

ok, have a nap, then fire the missiles!

These suck[edit]

I want ones like these guys have. Big and flowy, not overgrown napkins. --Jette User Jette awesome.png 18:40, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

I second this, the GW capes feel so underwhelming when they don't even cover your arse Sharpie 07:12, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
GW2 should have the choice between capes, tabards and cloaks on a user level (guild decides emblem and border, player decides the model). --Silva 15:53, 8 March 2010 (UTC)

No cape at the emblemer[edit]

User Markus Clouser no cape emblemer.jpg

I just wanted to change the cape for my guild (yes, I am the leader) and I can't see the cape. I had it displayed, hidden, restarted GW after the Wintersday decorations were on, just to be sure, but it still doesn't work. Anyone else with this problem? Markus Clouser User Markus Clouser signature img.jpg 20:14, 18 December 2009 (UTC)

A friend of mine had this problem before, I'll ask him about it when I go on. 74.70.73.101 20:20, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
I have heard capes don't display when costumes are active and I notice you are wearing a Rudolph hat. Try removing it and see if it works? Misery 20:21, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
Took off the hat, same problem. Managed to change the cape though. Markus Clouser User Markus Clouser signature img.jpg 20:23, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
Can you change the settings on the costume when you're not wearing it? -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 20:25, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
Yes, that's not a problem, only that you can't actually see what you're doing. Markus Clouser User Markus Clouser signature img.jpg 20:36, 18 December 2009 (UTC)

No cape in Inventory Preview[edit]

For some reason you can no longer see your cape in the inventory menu. Should it be noted or is this a bug? (Edit: I mean the cape itself, not the icon. Look above and you'll see what i mean, just in the inventory preview instead.)76.115.4.19 00:48, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

transparant[edit]

i was just looking at my cape and i noticed that it was slightly transparant does anybody else has this to?The eternal scout 20:06, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

Lol, you were looking at it too closely, of course it's transparent. :P --99.61.21.109 03:57, 1 November 2010 (UTC)

Symbol[edit]

My guild's cape has a japanese/chinese symbol on it. I was curious about what it meant. Any ideas? 71.191.68.64 00:10, 24 May 2010 (UTC)

It means it's one of the thousands of japanese/chinese symbols. ~Shard User Shard Sig Icon.png 03:58, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
Nothing afaik. Markus Clouser User Markus Clouser signature img.jpg 01:50, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
