Time taken to perform an attack[edit]

What does that mean? || DarkMugen 20:05, 30 December 2010 (UTC)

I'm guessing it means the time from (assuming you are already in range) issuing the attack command to the first hit. --JonTheMon 20:25, 30 December 2010 (UTC)

Attack/hit rate[edit]

Not sure I agree with the calculation on the page. If you have a 34% chance (2+2x16) to make a double hit, then every 100 attacks would give 134 hits, thus netting 134/100 hits per attack. Divide this by the attack rate of 1.33s then you have a hit rate of 1 hit per second average. Not to be confused with the attack rate, which is still 1.33 seconds.217.122.170.106 23:52, 20 February 2011 (UTC)

Insanely weak[edit]

Why the shit are they two handed. Why do the only deal 17 damage instead of 34? Why the bloody fucking hell are daggers+sin skills slower than an adrenal skill with a sword or even a hammer? The animations for assassins take far too long. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.121.112.36 (talk) at 15:53, 13 January 2015‎ (UTC).

Alright, I'll assume you're not trolling...
  • Daggers have a decent chance (28% @ r14 dagger mastery) to double strike. So you hit twice (~double dmg -> 36).
  • Also, most dagger attack skills trigger quickly + deal a decent amount of armor ignoring +damage with short recharges.
    • Jagged Strike, Fox Fangs + Death Blossom being the prime example.. chain with 4 second recharge - no typical adrenal chain competes with that.
  • Some animations are ridiculous yes.

And good spot on the 0.75sec time for one attack.. sounds like bollocks added by a random. -Chieftain Alex 20:17, 13 January 2015 (UTC)
My guess is the ip was assuming Attack speed meant the speed at which you attack (the rate), instead of the time per attack (the period). They just converted the speed to period ( 4/3 --> 3/4 ). G R E E N E R 20:55, 13 January 2015 (UTC)
Oh. Right. Well at least you figured out the meaning. However, since none of the other pages give that + it can be calculated from the line above, I'd be inclined to miss it out. -Chieftain Alex 22:06, 13 January 2015 (UTC)
Same anon added the same info to the hammer page. Makes even less sense there. And kinda goes against your theory. ;) Steve1 (talk) 22:52, 13 January 2015 (UTC)
