Getting Them

Have they said how you'll be able to acquire these items yet? I'm assuming they'll be a merchant item. Pkohler01 18:48, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

Max of 20 slots? D'oh... So even the Equipment Pack won't be capable of holding my 4 spare suits of armor plus all my weapons. I'm not holding my breath, but it would be nice if there was one Pack for Armor and another for Weapons. Ah well... He knows, don't worry, :) It's just that some of us are such packrats that even the extra 45% won't be enough to hold all our stuff, XD I mean, I'm excited for the equipment update, as it means that my mules will have the extra space too, but since my Ranger has 5 sets of armor now... I bet they are gonna be sold for Z-Coins. And 20 slots is enough to store 4 armor sets w/ headgear, or 5 armor sets w/out headgear. (I don't buy the headgear unless it is actually worth it.) <>96.8.185.183 23:53, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

Tradeable

Are Equipment Packs tradeable between other characters from the same accounts or other accounts? - Decollete 14:27, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

Redundancy

I thought that line about customization meant you coulnd't use these to mule one character's equipment on another (if, for some reason, you should fancy that O_o), but they can be used for loot. Has anyone even tested this? --Star Weaver 17:09, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

I would agree with that even though I wouldn't use it (I just use 'all bags' and leave my main inventory set to equipment bags.) Since we've got buttons for all the other tabs on inventory. Symmetry and completeness. --Star Weaver 17:04, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

Price

So you can get them for Zaishen Coins, Heavy Equipment Pack need 15 Gold Coins and 100 gold, if my calculations are correct, we need 7500 Copper Coins (30 stack) and 2350 gold to buy them.Tiberium 15:45, 1 May 2009 (UTC)

More variations of packs?

Probably not the best place to ask, but I honestly don't know where else. Does anyone know if there's hope we'll ever see other kinds of packs, like a book storage for all the storybooks?-- Cyberman 15:46, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Only good for armor?

As it is currently, changing from 1hand + off-hand to 2hander (staff, hammer, scythe, bow etc.) will put the off-hand item to first empty slot in your inventory, which most of the time are your normal bags. Or maybe Anet could change the code so that it would try to put weapons from sets to e-pack first, and if there isn't room then to normal bags? I've so many times almost sold my off-hand because after mission i forgot that i'm on my staff weaponset leaving my last used off-hand to be in middle of the random crap dropped in missions :S Or it could be that i'm just too organized when it comes to my inventory and storage and it's WAI? In most of the cases yes, but as monk i got more than just one off-hand. In my case 4 different shield (manually swapped for def set), high-energy set and heal/prot focus based on build. So it isn't just that easy, as i never know from which off-hand i will swap to the staff - making it little hard to equip it with the staff. I've found a work-around: setup your multiple weapon sets. Then, cycle through them ([F1]-[F4]), moving items to the bag/pack of your choice if they swap incorrectly. I only need to do this 1-2 cycles after making changes to more than 1 weapon set. (And, as Sparky suggests, always include an off-hand, even when wielding a 2-handed weapon.) Upgradable?

I am curious as I haven't seen anything on this yet... Are the Equipment Packs upgradable? What I mean is if I have a Small Pack can I get a larger size one and put it there instead? Of course I would make sure to move any weapons/armor out of the Small Pack before applying the larger one. I am saving up z-coin for a 15 slot at least. RandwulfX 17:35, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

You just switch it out. Empty the small pack, then drag it to your inventory and place a larger pack in the slot. --mira castillo 17:42, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

Bug?

I was wondering if the Eq pack was bugged because unlike other items when moving it around in the storage you have to place it in a spot and you cannot just place it over a tab to automatically place somewhere. If you try to place it over a tab itll just have a big red cancel sign on it. Is this a bug? --Ganon-- O_o 21:09, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

Anomaly with trading items inside

I've added an anomaly section to this page about trading items inside your equipment pack for items not able to be placed inside them. This has been confirmed by myself tonight, as trading a Voltaic Spear in my pack for an Obsidian Edge proceeded without issue, yet trading that Obsidian Edge for ectoplasm failed repeatedly, until I removed the Obsidian Edge and placed it in my main bag. No screenshots of this (although I imagine that would be hard to prove anything with anyway), although I invite any contenders of this to try. - a la VivienneRunestone 18:12, 15 March 2012 (UTC)(UTC)
