Disguise or disguise[edit]

This was moved to "disguise" and back to "Disguise" because it actually says "Disguise" in the game. Manifold User Manifold Neptune.jpg 15:58, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

As GWW:ULC say:"There is no need to follow in-game capitalization where it does not make sense. As a general rule capitalize only proper nouns (a noun describing a unique entity, such as a name or a city)."
And that doesn't make sense to me. I'd go what the formatting guidelines say. - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 16:20, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
The choices are: (a) Capitalize because the game capitalizes or (b) lower case because that is consistent with other disguise articles. This looks like two equally important principles. I think the tie breaker can't be "what makes sense to me" because lots of people have differing opinions (evidenced by all the moving). Instead, let's try to imagine what would be easiest on a player who buys GW in June 2011. Is it going to make any difference to them? Would it be better to be consistent with most of our articles that use e.g. (mission) and (outpost)? Or is it better to be consistent with the spelling in-game?
On the whole, I doubt it will matter so long as searching for either leads the player to the right page (and bypasses advanced search).  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 16:41, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
That's why i saved the capitalization redirect. - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 16:47, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
The word 'disguise' isn't a proper noun, and '(Disguise)' isn't even trying to be a sentence. It doesn't make sense grammatically to capitalize it. However, I am all for keeping 'Keiran Thackeray (Disguise)' as a redirect to here because the game uses the capitalized version. --Riddle 01:04, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
As JP said, GWW:ULC is an accepted policy. If anyone has doubts, then that's where you need to raise your concerns. Either that, or we stick our lovely (sic) tag to the end of the article. If you really want to, an anomaly section about GW's poor use of syntax could be noted (instead of the trivia) - they have a lot of those...(203.206.12.122 16:07, 24 November 2010 (UTC))
i'd actually go for the [sic], since this policy is normally not applied on skill pages let alone for words in brackets that are commonly used as disambiguation identifiers. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 14:45, 6 January 2011 (UTC)

[1][edit]

All of his skills benefit from Expertise. Three of them are not attacks, rituals or touch range. I'd say that makes them ranger skills. 24.197.253.243 16:49, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

That is a correct conclusion, based on mechanics.
The other side of the coin is that none of his bow attacks can be called ranger skills with any certainty, because any attack skill would be affected.
Also, of note, since his "Paragon" skills are, in fact, Ranger skills, we can't call Thackeray a R/P. — Raine Valen User Raine R.gif 21:53, 20 Nov 2010 (UTC)

Related Skills[edit]

I believe that all of his skills are PvE-only skills and so should be omitted from the related skills sections of PvX skills (that's how it works, isn't it?). — Raine Valen User Raine R.gif 22:10, 20 Nov 2010 (UTC)

Nevermind. — Raine Valen User Raine R.gif 22:11, 20 Nov 2010 (UTC)

Runes and Attributes[edit]

What are the attributes of the disguise? Can they be modified with runes? — Raine Valen User Raine R.gif 1:01, 22 Nov 2010 (UTC)

Well, presumably not, given that they're all 20. — Raine Valen User Raine R.gif 1:02, 22 Nov 2010 (UTC)

Skill Icons[edit]

Anybody else notice that Keiran's skill icons look a lot like the skill icons from GW2? 24.5.97.189 01:05, 23 November 2010 (UTC)

I thought the same thing. — Raine Valen User Raine R.gif 1:11, 23 Nov 2010 (UTC)
Yeah. Manifold User Manifold Neptune.jpg 01:15, 23 November 2010 (UTC)
OMG DITTO--24.17.124.145 02:26, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
It may also be worth nothing that Keiran's first five skills are weapon skills, his sixth is a healing skill, and his next two are utility skills. 98.95.40.18 01:55, 1 October 2011 (UTC)

Am I the only one[edit]

who wants these skills added to the ranger proffession? Or at least the bow attacks? || DarkMugen 18:28, 13 December 2010 (UTC)

Rangers mostly have these skills already, just not as ridiculously powerful. Morphy 19:38, 13 December 2010 (UTC)

Deaths.[edit]

Do deaths count towards /deaths if you die in these quests? - Stimpson J Kat 20:00, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

Yes. You should assume that all deaths count; the exceptions are very narrow. (See Survivor for the full list.)  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 20:39, 6 March 2011 (UTC)
Well, I've been avoiding deaths till I knew for sure. - Stimpson J Kat 02:12, 7 March 2011 (UTC)

Best Class for max Armor[edit]

Does warrior have higher armor vs physical or is it fixed? Does the Absorption-Rune work? Does he have 2 dots for energy-regeneration or 3 (fixed?)? Spheres 17:57, 6 August 2011 (UTC)

Why not as a farm-method?[edit]

Im wondering why this isnt mentioned as a farming method? Or have I missed it...? Spheres 19:12, 6 August 2011 (UTC)

...sorry, I wanted to post this for the quest "Rise". Spheres 19:14, 6 August 2011 (UTC)

Noticed this a looooong time ago...[edit]

Use the helm from Lunatic Court Finery under this disguise during the HotN quests. Do the un-equip/re-equip hat so the flame shows up like using the halo with a tonic in town. The flame results are comical, even bigger than with Tahlkora Durp da durp (talk) 18:34, 4 December 2024 (UTC)
