Wow, the hardly used thunderclapper, just got even better! Readem (talk*gwwcontribs) 23:34, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

Buff[edit]

As if bleeding wasen't already the worst condition, compare this to toxicity. I suggest: "...when this spirit dies, all bleeding creatures suffer from a deep wound." This still would be a pathetic elite, but much better then it is now. Barkingllama 23:09, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

Make this do damage per second to bleeding creatures instead of increasing degen. Like Seeping Wound.

Notes[edit]

"Good Synergy with Toxicity"

I'm removing this note, because it's simply not true...For synergy to exist the two skills must work well together, not have somewhat simular effects. Barkingllama

think about it this+toxicity+screaming shot+(hunters shot)+apply poison=-11degen for a lot of people

That's still not synergy. Because they work well together doesn't mean they enhance each other. Lots of damage works well with even more damage, but Galrath Slash and Lightning Hammer don't synergize. ~ Da Si 20:26, 21 August 2008 (UTC)

its .. bad[edit]

i Know its a very bad elite and it probably will be one of the next buffed ones .. maybe . but it does have some tiny uses although there are better elites too fill the slot. Also wouldn't this have good synergy with brambles? just a thought.

Yeah, kind of like the Wardens already use in Pongmei Valley?
yeah or basically what all ranger warden use
This skill actually works well with Disease, since it can spread to many people to take them below 90%; every time you recast the spirit, all those people get Bleeding for a total of -9 degen on those affected. That's pretty good pressure from two skills. Using Disease to get many people below 90% is also easier and faster with Toxicity in effect. <>Sparky, the Tainted 15:13, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

Degen spreader[edit]

from a first glance it obviously appears terrible as an elite. It could however be used to spread bleeding, simply using a skill that destroys the spirit.. timing it at the right time while enemies are below 90%, with the fairly fast recharge you can keep up -5 degen and eventually wait until people die. used in conjunction with poison/disease spreading and toxicity, it can be very powerful.. and can also kill you allies :D . a possible implication being that i cant seem to find a decent allied spirit killer skill in pve , links would be nice :) --Crazi shot 17:03, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

Feast of Souls is one of the better ones for a Ritualist/Ranger. Bear in mind, though, that you can simply recast Lacerate to destroy itself. If you're going to slot an elite for mass degeneration, though, Searing Flames is generally superior. MA Anathe 23:11, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

Some use for JQ[edit]

I found JQ to be the best environnement for that skill. Put the spirit in the right place, use degeneration from disease (rotting flesh) or hexes (suffering) on all guard posts and quarries in spirit range to reach the 90% requirement, then renew Lacerate. It doesn't make this skill great, but at least it gives it a use.--Ruine User Ruine Eternelle Ruine Eternelle.jpg Eternelle 15:11, 11 October 2017 (UTC)

I've wondered if there was a way to make it work in FA, but without some kind of partywide condition removal it'd be a pain. It also screams "use with Pestilence" to me as just about any deaths will spread conditions, but if you're going to coordinate groups you might as well just run contagion/draw stuff I think Loggy (talk) 16:15, 11 October 2017 (UTC)
