They kind of look like E.T in my opnion....--70.180.159.30 13:26, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

with the seers and mursaat, gw becomes a scifi game w/ aliens! --67.86.84.167 02:29, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
They looked like Protoss with four arms, but now that we know that they have mouths, we know that they are not so similar. MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 17:00, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
I think they kinda look like mursaat, but i didnt notice it untill i saw one move, you can realy see a resemblence, anet probably just made some minor changes to whichever they made left, and then changed the color -- User C4K3 Signature.jpgC4K3 13:17, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
If you picture a Mursaat without the golden armor, it would look pretty much like a Seer. Paddymew 10:24, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
Naked Mursaat? Ew. At least they would probably be dead/make themselves scarce while redressing (lol). However, I have a feeling that there's nothing under that armor. Eryops3 01:17, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
Seer ghosts that have possessed suits of golden armor then? Paddymew 12:49, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

Playable Race[edit]

If these were made into a playable race for GW2, I'd die of happiness. 98.148.16.22 00:19, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

I would just be happy to know more about them and how they fit into the world of Tyria Affian 08:31, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
Me too. We don't know nearly enough about them to be able to play them. It's going to be something completely different to play the sylvari, to say the least about an unnamed race with only one or two appearances. Paddymew 08:57, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

spawn of seer affected by Defend Droknar's Forge?[edit]

So i went looking for the Seer in Mineral Springs with Defend Droknar's Forge active. Not only did the Titans replace the Imps in the cave, but the Seer did not spawn. Anyone else have this problem?

Infusion came too late[edit]

"Near the end of the war, they had found a defense against the mursaat's agonizing touch but were defeated before they could use it. " Would someone mind telling me where this piece of information is found, I have looked and have yet to find anything in game or otherwise on it.--98.117.118.173 03:19, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

When I added it, I thought it was mentioned in the Iron Mines of Moladune. But I looked through and couldn't find it. So I'll remove it (from the mursaat page as well). -- Konig/talk 03:25, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

only one?[edit]

Where does it say there is only one seer, who moves around? Could be several that look alike. Ramei Arashi 20:09, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

I don't know. You tell me. The page doesn't claim there's only one; it states you only meet 1. Wording is awkward--84.24.127.220 20:16, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
In the Ring of Fire dialogue, the "Ancient Seer" states "We meet again." - idk the dialogue in mineral springs (it is missing from this wiki and I refuse to check the wikia), as is the dialogue in Abaddon's Mouth and HP, but if the seer goes from the Iron Mines to the Ring of Fire, why not follow through to the end - to make sure we do the deed. At least 2 of the five are the same, even with naming differences. And I think the seer acts as though we're familiar the entire time, so... -- Konig/talk 22:05, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
Page does claim there is just 1, "There is only one seer met in the game." Ramei Arashi 00:44, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
No, "There is only one seer met in the game."" - there are more than one seers in the game's lore, that is, there is more than one seer, but we only meet one. -- Konig/talk 02:05, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
So then the seer in Iron Mines is the same as the one in Mineral Springs and Ring of Fire? 69.196.139.150 21:33, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
As far as we know. Unless the unrecorded dialogue says something else, it is. -- Konig/talk 22:37, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
To clarify, we know the seer in the Iron Mines mission and the one in the Ring of Fire mission are the same - due to the RoF dialogue. Due to location, it is highly likely that the Mineral Springs is also this seer, and if the seer followed from the Shiverpeaks to the RoF mission, it is highly likely that it is the same there. The dialogue of the three currently unrecorded spots may state whether or not they're the same, but we have nothing to believe it is different, and everything points to it being the same. It just isn't explicitly stated. -- Konig/talk 22:40, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

Remains[edit]

Its told that remains of seers civilasation is still seen but people encountering aren't aware of what it is. So is the Eye of the North one of those remains since its origin is unkown, and its not dwarven/human/norn build. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 83.128.109.246 (talk).

Obviously, it's unknown which structures are of the seers. My personal belief is that it's the crystalline/ice-like structures found in Raven's Point and other Far Shiverpeak structures, and the vanished Moladune, a city of "ice and stone" (see the description of the Iron Mines of Moladune outpost). Either way, it's completely unknown. And there's far more structures with unknown origins than just the Eye of the North. For instance, almost all of the Depths of Tyria (which predate humanity on Tyria). -- Konig/talk 13:03, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
Consider the Seer's location in the Iron Mines mission. World map-wise, its just a small hop to that weird satellite dish looking thing in Mineral Springs. So I'd guess that thing is theirs at least. 209.216.169.169 22:42, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
That's of deldrimor design, actually. Shares the model with one of their beacons. Just one, though, I think. (Also, there's one right on the other side of the cave those two things are found in). -- Konig/talk 13:47, 21 January 2011 (UTC)

Seer NPC[edit]

I wasn't sure whether to put this on this talk page or the talk page for Ancient Seer. The note at the top says " This article is about the seer race. For the NPC, see Ancient Seer", implying that there isn't a NPC called "Seer". There is, though. The one in Mineral Springs is called "Seer", not "Ancient Seer". Should there be a page for Seer (NPC) also? It's misleading to say that all of the NPCs are called "Ancient Seer". Ailina 19:53, 13 June 2011 (UTC)

Just as there's only Keiran Thackeray and not also a Lieutenand Thackeray article, there is one seer in the game, but it has two names. So one article for the NPC. Konig/talk 20:43, 13 June 2011 (UTC)

Should a note maybe be put on the Ancient Seer page that it can sometimes be found under the name "Seer", and not always "Ancient Seer"? Ailina 21:10, 13 June 2011 (UTC)

I just added such a note after making my comment. I added a , sometimes simply called '''Seer''', in the first sentence. Konig/talk 21:28, 13 June 2011 (UTC)
