- i'd say no...a bit lame compared to other pve only skills...well the diffrence is that you can get also get a bit extra energy and needn't to be mes. well, depends on where you use this skill Zerpha The Improver 10:23, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
- Yea...5 energy every 20 seconds while disabling a skill is not bad. Lightblade 00:44, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
o.O if im right this skill is 5e 1c 7r. I'll have to check when i get home --Lou-Saydus 22:26, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

- ArenaNet must add the paragon male dance animation when casting this skill. --NeHoMaR 20:47, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
Why didn't the main article mention that this is a PVE only skill?[edit]
It would have saved me a lot of time if I knew that before I went out and got it. Oh well I'll add yet another extremely important piece of information to this sorry excuse for wiki.--Worldly Tutor 22:44, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- QQ some more, it says ASURA RANK ~ SCobra 22:45, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- I've temp-protected this article to end the edit war.
- More importantly, adding the "PvE Only Skill" comment goes against the GWW:SKILLS formatting guidelines, especially when you sign it =P If you disagree with that, please bring up your suggested changes to the guideline on the talk page of that formatting guideline.
- I'll unprotect the page shortly, but please consider this a warning that further edit warring may result in a temporary loss of editing rights. Thanks. MisterPepe talk 23:18, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- This has to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Telling people something important about a skill on the page about the skill is against formating guidelines? Is everyone hear purposely making this the worst Guild Wars wiki on the internet? This wiki is being run by a bunch of Nazis and I will just have to use some other source to get my information.--Worldly Tutor 23:26, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- The fact that its a part of the Asuran rank skill set is plenty enough to clarify that it is only a PvE skill. If you really feel so desperately about this, why not create a PvE-only skill category? Oh wait, it already is. - Unless you can provide a convincing arguement that this skill somehow warrents an explicit mention while most other title skills don't, this discussion belongs on Guild Wars Wiki talk:Formatting/Skills. -- Gordon Ecker 03:15, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
- I didn't know that titles skills were pve. To be honest I think they all need a explicit mention. Novice GW wiki users like myself look up a subject, see a page on said subject, and just assume that all information about that subject are on that page without having to click on anything else. I apologize to anyone if I went about it wrong, however everyone needs to understand that these wiki pages aren't clear enough with the information they provide. When I look up a subject here I feel like I do when I go the pharmacy, who tells me to contact my insurance provider, who tells me to contact my employer, who tells me to contact my doctor, and all I want to know is one simple thing without having to go to 4 different places to get it. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Worldly Tutor (talk).

- Hmm... I don't see the harm of explicitly saying it either. If one user can get confused about this, I don't see why some other may not (about this skill or some other skill). I see two simple solutions: One is to add a new yes/no parameter for pve-only to the infobox, the other would be to make it such that all PvE-only skills also go into ether Category:PvE-only skills or a new "Category:All PvE-only skills". -- ab.er.rant 06:02, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
- There is a pve-only parameter for the skill infobox. It's currently only used on Signet of Capture, and all it does is add Category:PvE-only skills. I asked around IRC last night for someone who knows how to make it actually put something in the infobox, since I have no idea, but no one responded. - Tanetris 14:38, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

- It's obvious that it's a PvE Skill. Just read the article. — ク Eloc 貢 01:44, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- It might be useful to change the infobox template so that all title rank skills (Asura, Norn, Vanguard, Deldrimor, Sunspear, LB, Kurz, Lux) are automatically added to the PVE-only category. -- Hong 04:13, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- To be precise, the "Asura skills" category is a subcategory of the "Eye of the North PVE-only skills" category. But this isn't immediately obvious from the skill page itself. Basically, the skill itself should be included in a PVE skills cat, is what I'm saying. -- Hong 05:24, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, that was part of my suggestion above. I suggested creating a new "All PvE-only skills" category for the infobox to stick all these skills into (or to put something in the infobox). If you're new to GW, especially if you skipped Nightfall, seeing "Asura rank" (and knowing that it's a title) is not going to automatically imply that it's PvE-only. Which of my two suggestions do people prefer? I'll put them in soon, which of them, depending on who says what. -- ab.er.rant 14:18, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

- I agree with Wongba, something in the infobox would be better. Either a new row like campaign and attribute, or a "(PvE only)" after "Asura rank" (or a better idea I haven't mentioned :P). I would prefer something small, rather not a new row that just says "PvE only: yes", if possible. - anja 14:36, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

(reset) Add "pve-only = y" to the infobox to get "(PvE-only)" appended to the attribute. I've only done the Asura rank skills. If all is fine, let's go and add it to all the other pve-only skills. -- ab.er.rant 07:28, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Range Wrong?[edit]
I am asura rank 3, and i get 6 energy and lasts 13 seconds. Justing6 05:35, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
Is this skill doing something it's not saying it does?[edit]
I've been using this with a SF sliver build, for the extra energy in those 'tight spots', and I've noticed that if I use it while I have SF or sliver armor up, the the clockwise rotation animation goes from the 3 o'clock position, to the 7 o'clock position as soon as I use it, decreasing the recharge of those skills. I don't know if it's a glitch, or if it happens to anyone else, but it did make me go 'What the heck?" a few times while farming. A concerned citizen 19:37, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
Brilliant Asura Have Bad Grammar?[edit]
This skill become that spell? not becomes? wouldn't you think, for a race of super-intelligent midget-y creatures, they'd pick up better grammer than a caveman? or is this a wiki mistake Mcdertr 21:07, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
- It was a wiki mistake. In game it's "becomes" and I doubt their was a [sic] next to it when you went ape-shit about it. =P 173.67.9.113 22:54, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

Notes/Trivia?[edit]
The icon of this skill depicts a disguised Asura performing one scene from the Smooth Criminal music video, with several small Asuras in the background. Never heard of a tall/large asura. :p 24.233.254.51 21:12, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
- Real life Asura compared to a miniature Asura :) --Arduinna 21:25, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
- The fact that it says both small and background makes one kind of redundant, provided you know how the human eye works. Paddymew 10:14, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
- well I agree small is redundant, however if you take out background it isn't quite the same sentence because background is referring to their location not their size. Roflmaomgz 00:31, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

Post-August 7th, 2008 update[edit]
The August 7, 2008 update (that "buffed" many of the PvE skills) lists Smooth Criminal as "increased duration to 14...19...20 seconds; increased Energy gained to 7...9...10". The appearance of the skill in game is still 5...10 and 10...20. Can anyone who is rank 0 Asura, and has the skill test the energy gain/length when actually using the skill, and see whether it actually did change and they just forgot the description? ~Celestia 14:28, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
The 8 Profession Man[edit]
In theory, you could run something like a ranger/mesmer with an echo chain, smooth criminal, arcane thievery & larceny.
- Steal a minion skill off a necro and use it.
- Let SC recharge while an ally heals the minion.
- Use SC again on a monk.
- Use echo.
- Use arcane thievery on n elementalist.
- Use the echoed AT on an assassin.
- Use arcane echo.
- Use arcane larceny on a ritualist.
- Use the arcane echoed AL on a dervish.
Thus, you can play (at least temporarily) as a R/Me/N/Mo/E/A/Rt/D!
The only two that get left out are warrior and paragon, as to my knowledge neither use spells. Fatal Papercut 15:28, 4 May 2012 (UTC)
