Talk:Tease
I've NEVER seen this skill before. Would make a good wiki template though.... Raptaz 14:16, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
i can only imagine this skill being used with something that makes the hexed unnable to attack , like Pacifism.
maybe Tease + Pacifism on a monk , and then warn the team mates to not attack it.
shadow of haste combines well here....shadow of haste, tease, cancel with dash and watch an infuriated foe scream. :) (bit impractical but fun) Psychiatric Consultant 20:26, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
For Mesmer, unfortunately, the only thing you have is Distortion. But hey, I've run this before, and if you do it right, it is really hilarious. Particularly on Ele's with Glyph of Sacrifice MS. FleshAndFaith 00:27, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
"fot hits you?"[edit]
does that count for spells/hexes?
or just the weapon attack?

So[edit]
If you interrupt something with this skill, you gain 4-5 energy for each foe in the area even if none of the foes except for the casting foe were using a skill? Dark Morphon(contribs) 09:04, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
- I think you have to interrupt the target; if it's interrupted, foes in the area are interrupted; all interrupted foes give you energy. So, if all the area foes were also casting/attacking you steal from them too. At any rate, with moderate insparation magic it pays for itself easy. ~ Da Si 19:42, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
- This skill is still a crap for an elite. Cry of Frustration > Tease... ~ Vaca
- Oh, but what if you bring both tease and CoF? Justing6 22:01, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- This skill is still a crap for an elite. Cry of Frustration > Tease... ~ Vaca
- Tease only gives you energy for the first interrupt, the rest don't give energy back. So yeah, tease is definitely worse than cry while also having a useless gold trim cape. There's a guru thread somewhere proving that Tease only gives the energy for the first interrupt, if you guys are doubtful. Silavor 23:45, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
- Its not all that useless. Combine it with Cry of Frustration for two AoE interrupts... We've taken this into HA before and annihilated IV and SF spikes with it because they all stand a bit too close together.FleshAndFaith 10:04, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
- A skill that is meant to be of general use and proves only good in specific section is not that good. They really should fix the energy gain and it might at least be a viable -management skill. Ɲoɕʈɋɽɕɧ 10:06, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
- It seems that Tease actually does give energy beyond the first interrupt under certain conditions. I believe it steals energy from each foe that is interrupted using a skill, but I haven't been able to test this thoroughly. I've included a screenshot that shows the multiple energy steal: File:Tease multi energygain.jpg C Bear 03:09, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
- Seems to be working as intended at least now. I tested by balling up the two first imp groups in Sanctum Cay. Energy was always stolen from all imps, both when just one and multiple imps had a skill interrupted. 94.254.109.238 12:50, 26 February 2021 (UTC)

Touch Spell[edit]
Is it rly a touch Spell? as it's listed in the touch skills category. --MageMontu 21:13, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

Cry of Pain[edit]
How is this skill related to Cry of Pain? i see no resemblance in the two--Xenktray 04:56, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
- They are both overabused. Vili 04:57, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
- They're both interrupts with an aoe effect. ~Shard 05:01, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
yes but they are not both aoe interupts. --Justice 19:32, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
- tbh, yes they are. reading comprehension is hard. ··· Danny Pew Pew 17:19, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
- Obviously, seeing as it isn't an AoE interrupt. It has an AoE effect, but it does not interrupt more foes than your actual target. — Galil 06:13, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

Hero Use[edit]
I was just watching my Monk hero use the Tease Boonprot build and I noticed how ineffectively the heroes use this skill. Because it interrupts any action they will use it on recharge for no apparent reason not trying to get the energy from it. This hurts my feelings D: EDIT: I am a massive idiot, please disregard me. Hero was failing because no one was in the area not because of a Tease/hero problem.- WeHeartKatamari 14:24, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
- my favorite mesmer hero uses tease+cry of frustration+5 other interrupts and 3 energy management skills. you may say that's over 8 skills, I say it's not since some of those are both =P Roflmaomgz 23:10, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
