Talk:The Rogue's Replacement
It IS a requirement none-the-less![edit]
Just because it is in the info-box, does NOT mean that the information should not be included in the requirements. Leave it in BOTH places! --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:mtew (talk).
- No, see GWW:QUESTS#Requirements, it does not belong in both places. -- FreedomBound 16:36, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
- Maybe, but many people look one place OR the other, not usually both. That is a valid point. 69.177.225.92 00:47, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
Charr at the Gate[edit]
Just noticed that it doesn't seem like Old Mac appears for you to be able to take the quest with CatG active either. Amitiel 10:44, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
Requirements?[edit]
You don't have to be a mesmer or missing a secondary profession to do this. As long as you completed A Mesmers Burden (accepting quest reward comes before confirming your secondary) you can take any secondary profession you like and the quest will still be avaliable. I can get screen shots for proof if required. 109.148.131.23 10:12, 20 May 2011 (UTC) It seems that if you accept his quest "The Rogue's Replacement" but drop "A Mesmer's Burden" (which I did because I wanted the bull to spawn again) then lose access to it by choosing a different secondary, he will no longer spawn for you, making it impossible to turn in this quest. :( 209.33.197.183 07:46, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
does not require mesmers burden[edit]
it only requires the bull being killed. It does not require completing the quest, and im 100% sure of that as ive been testing it often. usually requirements mean completing, it only needs the objective of the bull being completed. not turning the quest in. - If you kill the bull w/o turing in the Q the bull will re-spawn the next time you enter Lakeside County again. And still Old Mac will run to Althea and offer this Q? I admit I never saw that happen (but then I wasn't looking for it). Steve1 (talk) 05:55, 26 September 2018 (UTC)
- it has to be completing the quest objective of killing the bull, but it does not require turning the quest in, which is why i think its wrong to say it requires completing the quest. It is very strange. But just seems wrong to say its required when only the objective of the quest is required. it does say on the page already about this, but maybe it can be reworded to be better to describe it.
