Yeah blunt would make more sense

what is the point of these?--Vhalantru 23:29, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
they're a unique weapon that you can get in the game. DBZVelena | (Talk page) User DBZVelena sig.jpg 23:59, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

Technically, they're a gold weapon you can get. They aren't green and don't come with inscription or mods. - User HeWhoIsPale sig.PNG HeWhoIsPale 14:55, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Can these deal more or less damage than brass knuckles in actual competitions?--BahamutKaiser 14:15, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

Requires Dagger Mastery? Is this why the normal attack damage for non-sins is low/zero? (Seems this balances out with Silver eagle armor and the Bison Cup.) Brownspank 09:36, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

The req is for using them as normal daggers, outside the fighting pit. Backsword 10:31, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

Inscriptions / Upgrades[edit]

From the point of view of a non-assassin, is it worth going xx/A and putting 12 in dagger mastery? Also pondering viable mods to get the best out of the tournaments... Brawn over Brains (since energy isn't very important), Sundering Tang and maybe Defense mods? BramStoker (talk, contribs) 12:45, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

Any comment on this? Does an assassin benefit anymore with higher dagger mastery while using them? Or a warrior with high Strength and high dagger mastery? SystemisFlawed
You only need the weapons requirment for weapon power. The only other reason to raise it above the req is for the skills under that line, such as the dagger mastery skills. And a warrior with high strength is only gonna matter during the attack skills. I would rather see high powered attacks from an assassin with high dagger mastery (for the skills) then a warrior with strength and dagger mastery, since sins can use their runes.Ajc2123
Just to clear this up with people; the skills do if fact do more damage if you use thunderfist's brass knuckles, but only if you meet the dagger requirement. However, the extra damage is not amazingly high; for example with brawling uppercut you can hit 96 with 12 dagger mastery and 14 strength. Only 16 better than using plain old brass knuckles. However, being able to inscribe the weapon may make more of a difference in the long run if you are using them in the Kilroy Stonekin quests and repeatable dungeon. 86.152.182.160 16:23, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
As for my testing, upgrades and customisation DO have some effect also in plain swinging. Agree on the Brawn over Brains inscription and on the Sundering tang (though I would give a try with the Vampiric to check if they work). No idea if armor handles have any effect, but I would also try a Dwarfslaying handle if I ever come into one! :) --Poorfool 21:33, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Is Sundering recommended over Furious? - Decollete 20:21, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
On the contrary I recommend Furious over Sundering.--MxBadBoy 06:54, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

dmg for Non-assassins[edit]

If you don't have assassin as your primary or secondary, are these daggers going to do any more dmg (or even less) than the regular brass knuckles unmodded?

No, it will be the same or even less, because you haven't met the min dagger mastery req- just use the regular brass knuckles then
It is the same, but if you mod it up right the damage is more 81.151.114.118 17:37, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
It's the same if the requirements aren't met because all enemies have 5 base damage reduction while you're punching-out. This is why you deal more damage when you do meet the requirements, as you hit 2-12 + other damage factors after that. If you even put only a few points in dagger mastery with the regular knucks, you'll see yourself start to hit significantly harder with them. PowerGamer 15:25, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

Sundering vs Vamparic[edit]

"For best results, a perfect Sundering mod, Shelter mod, and perfect Brawn over Brains inscription is recommended for the Dwarven Brawling quests. "

Wouldn't a vamparic mod do a lot more damage and be preffered? (Kendil 10:04, 10 August 2009 (UTC))

I haven't tried the Vampiric Dagger Tang -- but as mentioned above, it's probably best to go with a Furious Dagger Tang in order to more quickly activate your skills. --Morgana1 20:05, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
If going for Survivor isn't using a vampirc mod which slowly drains your health a bad idea? Ramei Arashi 04:18, 16 October 2010 (UTC)
On the contrary, you'll gain health faster that you lose with a vamp mod. I'd agree with Furious being the most useful, due to most of your damage being from the attack skills. I'd say Vampiric is more useful than Sundering. Sundering only triggers 20% of the time and the damage increase you get in brawling isn't as good as having +3 damage from Vampiric 100% of the time, not to mention the minor healing you get. "Show Me The Money!"[edit]

I noticed that when a SMTM! inscription, these get a value, but they are still unsellable. Thrain | talk 12:34, 19 September 2009 (UTC)

vamp mod[edit]

these daggers and vamp mod seem to work well as a way to regain helth while brawling 67.236.1.18 06:38, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
