Delete, redirect to UI, add a section there? Calor - talk 00:24, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

Agree, this subject is too short for its own article. Also, if I was searching for this, I would go to User interface, not search for this. User-brains12-sigicon3.png br12 17:45, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
Agree with move/merge into section on UI and redirect from here - anja talk 19:39, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
My bad, Poke. Merge, not move. Calor - talk 20:15, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
I've merged it with the UI article and redirected this page to that section. --Kakarot Talk 15:11, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Changed back[edit]

I didn't notice this discussion yet, but i changed it back for several reasons:

  • If one would search for this panel in the user interface, he or she will see it listed in the Panels and Dialogs section now.
  • It is not part of the Heads Up Display, as it can't be seen by default / isn't part of the Options' checkboxes.
  • The article is now about three time bigger than it was before.

Drag and Move Problem[edit]

So I accidentally dragged the panel for unclaimed items way up into the corner of my screen. I can't click on the top part of it that normally allows you to drag the panel now because its kind of hidden off screen. All I can see of the panel is the bottom right corner of it and part of the accept all button.

I tried looking in the user interface to see if I could move it, but didn't find any option to do so. Exiting and re-opening guild wars also didn't work. Anyone else experienced this and/or have a solution? --Albus 06:20, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

Perhaps try temporarily changing your screen resolution or toggling into Windowed mode until you can grab hold of it & move it to a better location. Hope that helps. 208.92.107.28 07:25, 17 August 2010 (UTC)

Gold[edit]

It remains unclear in the page what happens to unclaimed gold.

Unclaimed gold is simply lost.--User Pyron Sy sig.png Pyron Sy 00:46, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
I did a test a while back that seemed to show gold from the mission/whatever is automatically added to the player's inventory without using this window 87.195.101.155 16:18, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
Interesting and worthy of a test. I'm pressed for time at the moment though. User Judas Sig.pngudas 16:21, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
The last few times I tested, unclaimed gold was not added to the party. Probably the fastest way to test is to let Rurik tank your way out of pre-Searing. (I believe I have a runner scheduled to do just that, so I'll give it a shot.) — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 16:32, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
Make sure that there is actually a gold drop, you know how much gold you have before completion, and there's an item drop to make sure the window shows up, and gl: Interested in the results 87.195.101.155 18:46, 1 July 2011 (UTC)

Log Out[edit]

So if I change character this thing appears again? Interesting way of transfering items isn't it?--Mark, User talk:Markisbeest het Beest 06:57, 1 July 2011 (UTC)

No, if you change characters from A → B and then back to A, A will still see the unclaimed box (unless you otherwise got rid of it beforehand). B will never see A's box. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 07:03, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
I just double-checked to make sure that this still was in effect; it is. (And, my apologies for writing the original text in way that made this more confusing...rather than less.)— Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 08:28, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
aaaah, I see, sorry I misunderstood it, apologies^^--Mark, User talk:Markisbeest het Beest 17:53, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
NP. The wording was ambiguous, so I think the fault was mine (not yours). Plus: the very original wording was, at best, misleading. So: I appreciate your taking the time to raise the issue. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 18:03, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
Btw, good job on the improvement, it looks a lo better ;D--Mark, User talk:Markisbeest het Beest 20:54, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
Thanks! (I appreciate you taking the time to say so.) --The preceding unsigned comment was added by Tennessee Ernie Ford (talk • contribs) at 21:09, 1 July 2011 (UTC).

Items not collected[edit]

I just finished the Consulate Docks mission and left a bunch of loot on the ground because I didn't have space. These were fresh drops from enemies, not stuff that I took out of my backpack. After the mission an Unclaimed Items window came up but only had 2 items in it. It seems like a fairly unreliable feature. 76.253.0.17 06:28, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

I'm sorry that you missed out on the loot; in all the time I've played, I've never seen the Unclaimed window miss anything (except cash, which it's not designed to collect). (It also won't collect old drops, but that doesn't sound like what you are talking about.) — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 07:42, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
I don't think the unclaimed items box shows items that have become unassigned some time (I think 10 minutes) after they dropped. User Judas Sig.pngudas 09:42, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
Fairly sure I've seen items dropped by the Asura Undergate fail to show up in Unclaimed. 24.197.253.243 10:21, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
A bit late, but the exact same thing happened to me (A gate to far ending). Maybe it is because of the cinematic, you are teleported to an other explorable area and then again, after the cinematic ends (to Olafstead), I don't know. --91.82.67.234 22:01, 4 May 2012 (UTC)

Persistence[edit]

The wiki says that it will stop persisting if you dismiss the window, however I have dismissed the window and then map-traveled to another town only to find it popping up again. Either I'm reading it wrong or the information is slightly off. I don't know if I should fix it or not...Menzies 21:01, 7 November 2011 (UTC)

It's been a longtime since I dismissed the window without taking all the contents first (hard to see when that would be cost-effective). Please test it again to confirm the behavior...and please remove that one line if you can replicate the results. Thanks for pointing out the discrepancy. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 21:26, 7 November 2011 (UTC)
Tested and confirmed it reappears. Works even when changing continents and using the guild button in the guild panel. Tedium 21:23, 24 February 2012 (UTC)

Lost Items[edit]

"There is a limit of 12 items; any beyond that amount will be lost." Long ago I had more than 12 items waiting, once I reclaimed those items, I got another window with the remaining items after i switched map. This happened like 3 years ago, possibly even more so unsure if it got changed or not. --MageUser MageMontu sig.pngMontu 09:13, 15 June 2012 (UTC)

Research needed[edit]

Tried to verify quickly by doing brawling, but when I resigned after the timer appeared it gave the unusual message of "you got knocked out" followed by another timer of 5 seconds instead. No unclaimed items upon return to outpost despite items on ground in the dungeon. I'll repeat test but with another dungeon. -Chieftain Alex 12:47, 7 December 2014 (UTC)

Did the snowman lair, items dropped by foes on ground, saw 3 minute countdown, typed resign, clicked return, no items upon return to outpost. -Chieftain Alex 13:11, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
From my own acquired knowledge of this window..
  • Most frequently seen after you are moved to an outpost after the end of a mission/dungeon (either via custscene in the case of a mission, or via waiting the full 3 minutes in the case of a dungeon), whereupon you will be presented with the box.
  • If you're in a dungeon connected to an explorable area, such as the Catacombs of Kathandrax, after waiting 3 minutes you will be teleported to the explorable. Map travelling from that explorable to the outpost will cause the unclaimed items box to appear.
  • Manually map travelling, or resigning out of any area, even when an exit countdown is showing, will not cause you to receive your unclaimed items.
  • Failing a mission/wiping with 60% DP in HM and pressing return to outpost likewise will not cause you to receive your unclaimed items.
  • Talking to an NPC to move you on to the next area will not cause you to receive your unclaimed items.
  • Logging out, and then logging back in on that character when the window has already appeared will cause it to appear
So i think that all but the first of the current bullet points is incorrect, and that the first should be rectified to say something along the lines of my last bullet above. -Chieftain Alex 13:26, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
Confirmation again that items don't pop up in the box if you map out after a dungeon timer pops up. -Chieftain Alex 17:45, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
"So i think that all but the first of the current bullet points is incorrect". I think you meant "correct". Does this edit correct all the issues you discovered? --Silver Edge 09:00, 13 December 2014 (UTC)
current notes seem okay. More data: logging out during a cinematic that takes place at the end of an eotn mission (no zone loading screen unlike the cinematic at the end of Raisu Palace), loses your unclaimed items. -Chieftain Alex 13:17, 13 December 2014 (UTC)
map travelling during the 15 sec countdown at the end of Auspicious Beginnings loses the items too. -Chieftain Alex 13:44, 13 December 2014 (UTC)
