- hey pyron, i was wondering if it would be possible to put out a mod that put a countdown on Arcane Echo, so when you have a copied skill you know how long until it expires. IGN - Thelonius Pike 67.171.135.17 00:28, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
- Can't be done because it would have to be written in code and put in the .exe file, which is illegal by the EULA and other contracts, and TexMod only does textures. Calor 00:30, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

- Hi Pyron. I just want to know if it was possible to mix the cartography mods, in order to load just one .tpf file instead of 3..

Hey there. Cartographer texmod seems like a very helpful one, it'll probably make mapping Cantha a lot less tedious experience. I'd mapped Tyria, Elona and GW:EN prior to it though, rather carefully - consequently, there's quite a lot of black spots I've gotten across. If you are still keeping the maps updated, I could take shots to point out those spots? Kitsunebi 20:53, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Weapon Icons[edit]
I noticed you uploading a lot of weapon icons, during the upload can you add the correct category to the summary; for example for Image:Chkkr's Flatbow.png you would add [[Category:Unique bow icons]]
. These categories can be found on one of the other previously uploaded images; in the example I gave you could use any of the icons on this page for example Image:Drago's Flatbow.png. This means it isn't either forgotten or have to be added later, thanks. --Kakarot 03:53, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- I didn't think about adding the category. I'm done uploading for tonight, but I'll be sure to remember when I start up again tomorrow.--Pyron Sy 03:58, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- I've added it to most if not all the ones you've uploaded today so you shouldn't have to worry about those :) --Kakarot 04:00, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks. I'm still a relative noob when it comes to stuff like this, but with the stash of uniques I've got I couldn't help but give a hand with the project.--Pyron Sy 04:14, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, as i see Kakarot already told you about the Categories :) I've written down another advice when using texmod on the inventory icons project talk. It's great to hear that you have so many greens ready to upload, but unfortunately, i have to tell you that your current uploads all need an update, due to the black border. Inventory icons project[edit]
You uploaded really lots of unique weapon icons now, also neatly re-uploaded your previously uploaded icons with clean border, and added the according tags to them, yet you did not add yourself to the contributors list. Did you possibly forget to add your name? —ZerphaThe Improver 15:47, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- I thought about it, but I kinda like to keep myself low key. Notice I've been around here forever, but other than the couple of projects I've worked on, no one really knows me. I prefer to keep it that way.--Pyron Sy 15:48, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- Well, adding yourself to the list does not automatically mean that you are forced to be active and bound to help ;) You already did much for the project as you contributed a lot, hence i think you can add your name carefree without having to fear any obligations. —ZerphaThe Improver 15:57, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

uhm...[edit]
Well... Risky acted properly, i just noticed your icons do not have transparency. >.< For sure i can't demand anything from you, it would be the third time you'd have to extract and upload about 100 images, and you seemingly did not want to contribute anything further to the project. It's a pity and I have to excuse me, I should have told you more precisely what you should pay attention to. —ZerphaThe Improver 18:09, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

Problem with Tyrian-Gwen Cartography Made Easy[edit]
Apologies for any mistakes I make editing, this is my first time directly contributing to the wiki.
Here is a screenshot of part of the Far Shiverpeaks taken from my new-to-EoTN Paragon: Screenie It's clear to see that part of one of the zones isn't all there... Looking over the whole map I didn't see the Asura areas at all and the Charr areas are also cut off. It also strikes me as odd that the shading is blue rather than yellow on the other two continents. I've used the Elona/Cantha extensively to great effect (thank you for creating such a wonderful mod) and want to get the same benefit out of the Tyrian. --Jing Xue 16:47, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

Bored with these small mods[edit]
I really am, I like doing them, but all the ones I have so far, and the ones you do too, are pretty small. We should team up and make some giant mod or something. I have no idea what, but it'd be fun.
- I wouldn't mind putting together something epic. The question is...what?--Pyron Sy 21:27, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, I have no idea... We could always do a complete UI redo, but there's already like 10 of those, and I like my Glazed UI.... I was also thinking a complete high-res redo of the game, grab all the textures we can and make 'em high-res (I can show you the method I use for my mods on photoshop.) Except this mod would be HUGE and require alot of time, and a site that'll let us upload a giant file. Also, while we're chatting, thought I'd offer my high-res armor for you, if you didn't see it on the mod lists.~Farlo Talk 21:34, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

Black spots[edit]
Hi.. I didn't use texmod when I was mapping Elona, Tyria and Cantha. Therefore I have a lot of black spots when I run texmod. Just wanted to let you know of these so you can make this amazing mod even better. Right now I've only made a map for Elona, but I will upload the others as well when/if I make more maps. Please tell if you're updating or not. Thank you.

D'OH problem[edit]
Hey, im just looking for a bit of help really, im new to this textmod thing and like many others im just trying to use it to get the cartography titles. I run textmod application, select Gw.exe and then browse and select any of the cartography .tpf's, then with one of them selected i click 'Run', i assume that then the textmod application will start up Guild Wars and that etc. but whichever .tpf i use i just constantly get the error message saying D'OH, researching this shedded no light on the situation so im stuck and don't know what to do, does anyone know what the problem may be? Thanks for any help. (this is also my first ever discussion post so sorry if I've done anything wrong).--Edge 15 13:13, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
- Texmod only was one way of telling you something's wrong (d'oh) and it's not very helpful in finding a solution. It sounds like you've followed the right steps to get it started. Perhaps a corrupt download of the tpf file. Try loading a different mod and see if it works.--Pyron Sy 14:29, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
- I have tried multiple mods but all of them say d'oh, i have also tried downloading textmod application itself again and it still gave the error, any idea what might be wrong? could it be a recent update to the gw client or something which stops textmod from working? (again this is my first reply to a comment in a discussion page, hope it all works lol)--Edge 15 22:16, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
- Hmm... if you re-downloaded Texmod and it's broken, I'm not sure. One thing you can try is to erase anything related to texmod, and any texmod entries in the Registry, if you know how to use it, otherwise you might screw up your computer. If that doesn't work, maybe re-install Guild Wars. If those don't work, I have no idea what's up. Also, when downloading them, don't use any accelerators or anything. ~Farlo Talk 03:11, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
- hmm, ill try messing about with the registry stuff and removing everything textmod related from my computer, i don't know anything about the registry but ill just Google some things and learn a bit before i do, if not im not sure if its worth a massive re-install as id have to re-download everything that isn't on discs and that--Edge 15 19:09, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

Since I tend to doubt that there is really a trojan integrated into the file, I was curious if anyone else had experienced this. Thanks :-) --JET 04:48, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
- It's the Antivirus interefering with texmod starting up. To get around it, you'll need to add texmod to the exceptions list in your AV program. That should stop the errors.--Pyron Sy 10:51, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
- Got it added to the excluded list so it can boot without interference from the AV. It now works without issues. Thanks --JET 16:00, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

Total Cartography?[edit]
Hello, just short question? Is it possible (one day maybe :P) for you to release something like "Total Cartography" package for Texmod, which would include all 3 maps in 1 package? Yes, I know, that it would be useful only for players who do own all 3 campaigns. However this would also save a bit of time for players, who (just like me) load tones of packages into texmod :)...
I could of course help with this, if you need.
Cheers - --MistralPL 06:51, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

Few New Black Areas[edit]
I have a couple black areas on my map using your latest Compilation of all 3 maps.
Black Area #1 This area is from doing the Ascalon Arena. I have been trying to scrape more around it (cannot access it any more on this character) but I have no idea how clean it can get.
Black Area #2 This area is from doing the Shiverpeak Arena.
Black Area #3 I do not know where I uncovered this little area (it was before I used the mod) but I did it by scraping the edges.
Love the mod! (Note: All pictures taken with the Cloud Removal mod enabled as well) Z-95 20:51, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
- The arena areas were left on intentionally. Since they can only be accessed by newer characters, and are not required, we decided to leave them unexplored. As for #3, I'm not sure if I'm going to do another update to the mod or not, unless Anet changes the map again. I guess it depends on how many more spots are still out there uncovered.--Pyron Sy 22:12, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
- Sounds good! I'll let you know if I uncover any more black areas on my way to Legendary Cartographer! Z-95 18:34, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
- Found another Black Area #4 This one was uncovered from Snake Dance in a small corner. Had to do the camera shake to uncover it. Z-95 21:30, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
- Found 2 more!
- Black Area #5 Don't know how I uncovered this one (I didn't even notice I had it until recently)
- Black Area #6 This one can be uncovered on the Iron Mines of Moladune mission by going to the right of Markis' fortress and swinging the camera around in one of the corners.
- I am now 98% done with Prophecies and still have 2.5 missions to do on the Ring of Fire so I'm sure I now have alot of leeway and I doubt whether I'll find any more black areas in Prophecies. But I'll be moving on to Factions, Nightfall, and EOTN next so any more I find I'll bring them to your attention!
- And if you don't want to update the mod or would like help doing so I am willing to assist! Z-95 18:01, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

- I've had several complaints that the complete pack doesn't work, even though other packs still do. Among my guild, about half of us have issues with the complete set, myself included. I'd rather remove the set until I can track down the problem than have people complaining it doesn't work. When I find the time to track down the problem I'll update and replace the link.-- Pyron Sy 02:52, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
- The issue would be that you ran the pack during a map update. Hit the windows key and R, then type the location of your guild wars client and then a space, then -repair. After that is done, try the package again. Kairu 03:34, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
- It's not the usual problems. If it were a matter of running the pack during an update, then no pack that used that map would work. Further, we all use -image after a new build to make sure this doesn't happen. Since the problem is only recent, I'm assuming it has something to do with the maps around the new areas that were added. If that's the case, then it's just a matter of adjusted a handful of textures and it's all done. If not, then there's no telling where the bug is coming from.-- Pyron Sy 03:42, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
- That's odd, because it is working flawlessly for me.... I even checked it before asking. Kairu 03:59, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
- That's what has me so boggled. When a thread on guru popped up about it not working, I asked a guildmate who I know was still mapping, and he said it worked fine. I loaded it up to check for myself, and had no map changes while running the complete pack. I even did a rebuild of the tpf, thinking my original had been corrupted somehow, and it still refused to work. I hope it's just something simple, because I really don't want to recap the textures again.-- Pyron Sy 04:07, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
- I did have something similar happen with texmod before, thinking that an update had killed it. It turned out to be something with the graphics card I was using. I don't remember how I fixed it for the life of me though. I thought it couldn't be a issue with the pack though, since the pack works on some clients. All Guild Wars clients are suposedly the same when executed so there is no way for it to be Texmod that is the issue. Maybe try clearing out temporary files? Are you using an ATI card? Dervish updates[edit]
Thanks for catching my mistake, I suggest we go over it all and update as needed. I'm doing minor changes and the occasional large one but I'm not great at wiki code so I'll leave the MAJOR changes to the expericed fellows Ocren 03:57, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
