BUGS[edit]

Imho GW has many bugs, as i am programmer i very fast find new ones. I hope GW2 won't be so buggy...

Structures bug[edit]

This is biggest GW bug with structures (e.g. bridges, few floors houses, mountains (rare but it happen too) and many many others structures). In few words, example you do some mission/vanquish in area and many times happen then monsters which is near structures is very hard to kill (e.g. take 1-5mins to kill), but same monsters die in few seconds in flat area!

Generally it's 3D engine problem with Z Axis and not so easy to fix it.

Main bug influences:

Projectice attacks[edit]

It influent to all kinds of projectile attacks:

  • Regular Bow attacks (Ranger, especially Barrageway team build)
  • Spear attacks (Paragon, especially Racway team build where everything based on projectiles attack)
  • Spirits projectile attacks (Ritualist)
  • All other projectile attacks (eg. Elementalist)

These professions half effective in some areas by this bug! (e.g. Kaineng areas vanquish - as it has buggy structures in many areas).

Probably many people know about bridge bug as it referenced in Bows review notes, but same happen with other structures, projectiles attack damage just can gone somewhere...

NPCs[edit]

Sometimes structure bug do very strange effect on NPCs like spirits, heroes, they can stay and to not attack enemies. In such situations to not die is good to regroup, reflag all group or to retreat and to pull monsters from that area.

Abuse of bug[edit]

Many Missions/Quests are specially designed near such structures to make it harder - i suspect then developers good know these bugs and do it specially! Just try to pull monsters from structures area and you will kill them easy, they will die in few Rseconds!

Resume[edit]

In many cases hard to defeat enemy not by enemies count, but because help them nearby structures!

Obstructed zones & Monsters logic[edit]

In game possible to find zones - where if to stay all projectile attacks will be obstructed, visually will be possible to see this game unit (e.g. foe) and then nothing block him, but all attacks will fail. IMHO monsters feel such invisible zones and sometimes specially hide in they to survive, they logic designed to abuse this bug.

Spawning chests[edit]

Probably for many of us happen then some NPC stuck on spawned in wrong place chest and needed to restart mission! Question to developers, why hostile foes never stuck on chests just NPCs ;)?
