Why Ranger for secondary on all your characters? (for non-ranger primaries)
It's simple really. I'm an animal lover to the core. Can't turn away a stray animal that shows up on the doorstep. Volunteer at the SPCA when my daughter and I can. Caretaker of 4 dogs, 1 rabbit, and 10 ratties. Hence, each character has ranger as either primary or secondary.

- Garreth - Garreth is a variant of the name Gareth, a welsh name meaning "gentle". Eldest son of Fergus MacLeod, patriarch of the MacLeods. After their parents were lost in the searing, Garreth became the leader of the MacLeods. Has pets named Lancelot (Stalker), Skittles (Rainbow Phoenix), and Charlotte (Black Widow).
- Gillian - Gaelic/Hebrew name meaning Servant of St. John. Brother of Garreth. Pet Wolf named Lance.
- Doc - Doc's original given name is Manachan (MAN uch an), a Gaelic name meaning "a monk". After Manachan completed his training at Ashford Abbey, Gil began yelling "Heal me Doc" whenever the family would practice together. This led to the nickname "Doc". Doc is the youngest brother of Gar and Gil and the fraternal twin of Morrigan. Pet Stalker named Onchu, "mighty dog". (OOC - A friend suggested the name "Doctor" instead of Manachan. Since Doctor requires little explanation on a monk, I went with the suggestion.)
- Morrigan - Morrigan was names for the mythological Irish goddess "The Morrigan", who was associated with sovereignty, prophecy, war, and death on the battlefield. Fraternal twin of Doc. Pet Stalker named Catan "little cat"
- Moira - Pronounced MOI ra. A Celtic name meaning "exceptional" although it is also known to mean "bitter". Moira is hardly bitter so she must be exceptional. Eldest sister of Scott, Fiona, & Briana. Moira's father died of the Plague in Cantha. Pet tiger named Shan.
- Scott - Americanized version of the Gealic name "Scotach" meaning "scotsman". Pet White Tiger named Tigger (OOC - I love Winnie the Pooh)
- Fiona - a Gealic word meaning either "white" or "wine", depending on the pronunciation. This name was invented in the 16th century by Scottish writer James MacPherson. It is mentioned once in his Ossianic poems, in Fingal- Book 1. However, it is only mentioned once in passing. It was brought into the public spotlight by the 19th century by Scottish author William Sharp, who used "Fiona McLeod" as his pen name. The name probably represents a Latinate feminization of Fionn, meaning "white." However, the word fiona in Gaelic means "wine." It is pronounced FEE uh na, though, not like the name, which is generally pronounced fee-OH-na. (meaning from www.namenerds.com). Pet Black Moa named Spike.
- Briana - Pronounced BREE ahh nuh. Anglicization of the Gaelic name Brianag meaning "Strength", also a Celtic goddess. It is also a variant of Brianna, which means "high", "noble", & "exalted". She uses Bri for short. Pet Jingle Bear named Fluffball. (OOC - I was originally going to name this character "Skye MacLeod" but that name was already taken.)
- Ceana - Pronounced KEH na. Gaelic name meaning "fair one". Eldest sister of Kyle and Liz. Pet Lynx named Furball.
- Kyle - Gaelic name meaning "narrow". Pet Jahai Rat named Boo.
- Elizabeth - A variant of Elspeth which is Hebrew name meaning "Oath of God". Prefers Liz over her full name. Pet Phoenix named Feathers.
- Maggie - A name of English origin, Maggie is a shortened for of the name Margaret. The name means "pearl". Pet Warthog named Waggles.
- Marnie - Of Scottish origin, Marnie means "from the Sea". It is also a Hebrew name that means rejoice. She has no pet at this time.
