Hey, there. I was just wondering, did you intend for the date stamp on your sig to be in bold? Apparently you haven't heard of the big project a few months ago. All existing guild pages that were not in an English language would be deleted. I offered to help out by translating Dutch Pages into English pages. This is all that I have changed, and I have not changed any other texts on your page.

Most important in that second part is where it says: All guild pages must have the minimum content requirements in English. They can also have them in another language if they like, but they have to be present in English as well.

If a guild page contains other content beyond the bare minimum in a language other than English, it should have at least an English summary of the additional contents, even if they're not translated verbatim.

I know this is not your personal decision, so please don't take the following as criticism on you personally.

We are a Dutch speaking guild and are not interested in non-Dutch speaking members. I am also not interested in this English-rules-the-world-and-the-rest-be-dammed policy. If the (English speaking) powers that be decide that we no longer are part of the GW community and they want to delete our page because of that, then by all means let them do so. But as long as we make a page for our guild, we do that in our language.

As an English-language wiki, our content (which includes guild pages) should be in English; obviously, there are guilds which don't use English as their main language, but as we're an English-language wiki those pages require a minimal English translation. The guild pages policy isn't making any judgement on your place in the game or whether you are part of the community or not, it just makes sure that all guild pages are in the language that the wiki caters for. If we were a Dutch wiki, the content would be in Dutch; if we were a French wiki, it'd be in French. This is an English wiki, so the content should be translated into English. As I see it, this is a multi-lingual wiki. Either way, I created that page for my guild. If the bureaucrats (or sysops or whatever the officials are called here) don't like it, then have them delete it. Otherwise, leave it be. It's not your page, and it's not about your guild! The software, MediaWiki, has those options as default; the community that uses the wiki decides what the primary language of the wiki is - the content of the wiki is in English. Guild pages, however, can still be in another language, but they require an English summary-translation too. By the way, the policies here are decided upon by the community - that includes policies on guild pages and deletion. I understand it's not my guild, but the wiki content (including guild pages) belongs to the community, hence why community consensus in the form of policy guides what guild pages can and can't do.
