Rosina is the reincarnation of a princess who used to rule the Hidden City of Ahdashim. Many centuries ago, Ahdashim was not hidden, but a part of Vabbi out in the open. The city was run by Anstice Lightwind, the princess that the djinn served. However, Anstice had a dark heart. She desired power and wealth. She ordered the djinn to gather all the riches possible for her and to slay anyone in their path. But her dark heart was her demise – the gods didn’t condone her behavior and actions so they cursed her and turned her to stone and hid the city from the outside world. It was later used to protect princes during the reign of Palawa Joko. Anstice is now a stone statue in the hidden city, but before she was consumed, she swore that she would one day return. The djinn now guard the city and any royal members inside.
When Rosina journeyed to the hidden city to speak with two of the Vabbian princes, the djinn bowed to her and led her inside without a fight. They then showed her the statue of Anstice and explained the story of her. Rosina was shocked at the likeness of her appearance and the statue's. She is the reincarnation of Anstice and is also the new princess of the hidden city, but the gods will not allow the city to be seen by the outside world again. Though Rosina is Anstice’s reincarnation, she does not share her dark heart. She uses the djinn to protect the city and its riches from evil that may come to loot it. The other princes of Vabbi know nothing of the secret princess of Ahdashim, so when they seek the djinn's help, the djinn grant them access without seeing Rosina.
