Your accolades are like roses at my feet.
However, this brings to my mind a very interesting thought. If people who go around to other talk pages to be generally unproductive and offensive are trolls, though I would never refer to the above post or user as a troll, what would you call someone who sticks to themselves and furiously defends their own pages and interests? Seems a bit skewed as compared to the mythological bridge troll, as that would be the latter. Dragon already has other uses; how about spider? Might be a bit generic, but I think it fits. Wurm or Dryder might be more relevant to GW. Please don't point out that Socially Inept or Introvert work quite well for this sort of thing. If this ends up not starting a discussion, sorry for weirding up and making awkward my own talk page. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 19:25, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
how much have yu been drinkin?--Sum Mesmer GuyTalk to me NOW!! DO IT! contribs 06:37, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
Oh, four or five cups. We're talking about tea, right?
I wonder if my typing would be so impeccable even if I were drunk. It probably would, as I seem to be that kind of person... /sigh. This really is the kind of stuff I wonder about, though probably not for the first time in response to a simple "First" posting. Except for that drunk thing. Well then, I guess I can consider my talk page considerably awkwarded up.
Really, though, am I the only one who thinks about these things? --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 17:25, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
Yes. Calor Talk 17:30, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
Dammit.
Well, I'm going to coin "Dryder" in that usage anyway. I'll never be able to use it, and even if I do, no one will know what I'm talking about. The point is, I at least got some productivity out of this section, and that's what I'm going to do for everything like this, even if the productivity is just the standard for my being strange at the top of my talk page, consistently. I really didn't know where I was going with this, though, from the beginning. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 17:36, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
i really really like thoughts like that. thoughts that seem important but don't go anywhere. like when you think about who you are. who you are and your purpose in life. i find those thoughts either self-esteem boosting/degrading--Sum Mesmer GuyTalk to me NOW!! DO IT! contribs 19:29, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

(Reset indent) Great, I'm not alone. It seems that one could get into that sort of mindset on a whole lot of things, though. For example, how Devil Went Down to Georgia applies to Christian Theology/Demonology, or why dogs seem to get so much more excited than cats when their names are called energetically. It probably doesn't help that I know a lot of things about differences in Jewish/Catholic/Protestant (generally) Theology, and that it's something me and my Catholic, Protestant, and Aetheist (each mutually exclusive) friends like to discuss for no reason other than to figure out each other's buttons to push. While these thoughts are often satisfying if not productive, they sure do lead to a few existential crises, eh? --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 19:51, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

i happen to be atheist, always backing up such a belief (or lack of) with the arguement, "If God is real, where is the evidence? Why are the people in Zimbabwe suffering?" of course, this causes confusion as i seem to be one of the only ones of my age who's interested in news. i don't like things which aren't backed up by solid evidence--Sum Mesmer GuyTalk to me NOW!! Hehe, I not worried, just I blinked and you'd already been in there :D. --Star Weaver 19:15, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
Did you check the quotes, though? That was hilarious. Remember, IPs are the easiest target for Unsigned tag! --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 19:17, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Thank you

Thank you for that lead. I'm quite new to all that wiki stuff and I keep on learning ;)--Badde 18:49, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Oh, don't worry about it. Here, poke through GWW:POLICY to see what else you could find information on. There really are about as many do's as don't's, and the don't's are mainly no-brainers. GWW:FORMAT is really good for the actual content, too. If you need any more help, there are always the other helpers. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 19:01, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Oh, your welcome. I just do my service as an editor who likes to laugh maniacally as he goes on a reverting spree. Wait, that's not right. Back that up. I just do my service as an editor who enjoys being helpful and reducing the load on people with more important things to do on the wiki. Yeah, that sounds about right. Not to be a bother, but your first link points to Aiiane's revert. You want this one. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 14:38, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

Oh, your welcome. Just quick, that's all. You should probably add your userpage to your noticeboard report, since the IP has stopped with the Dev update. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 19:23, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

I just noticed

When I read your name in reverse, I read "rodlak oyiahc".

Does it mean anything? No, I just wanted you to know that I care enough to read your name in reverse. -- NUKLEAR User NuclearVII signature 3.jpgIIV 14:16, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

That's good to know. I bet you did the Roman numerals (I assume that's what they are) backwards on purpose, right? IIV is VII? Raelkun sounds an awful lot like railgun, though. The best I can get from rodlak is rod... lake? --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 17:07, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Userbox

Thanks so much for your help!! I loved that userbox - my husband and I nearly died laughing and I couldn't help but take it - I hope that's ok!! Thank you for the welcome!!

If it wasn't ok, I wouldn't have called your using it "awesome." Glad to have brought some laughter, though I'm not the only to promote Rick Astley's hilarious video. Couple things to bring up, though: When you're starting a new topic on a talk page, use the '+' tab to add a new topic. Also, so everyone knows who's talking, sign with ~~~~. However, these are just little things that you'll pick up on and eventually be proficient with, so try not to go crazy about it. Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 01:00, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

Signature

Hey, how do you get sign thing at the end of sig? --Volken Blade 18:11, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
You mean the talk and contribs links? You can change your sig in Special:Preferences to change color, font, add links, change links, or add icons. There are a few tips at GWW:SIGN, but if you need any help with it, you know where to find me. Unless I'm misinterpreting your question. You wouldn't happen to be asking about only icons, would you? --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 18:42, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Thank You!

Thanks for fixing my mistakes :D The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jumpboy88 (talk • contribs) at 23:09, 30 July 2008 (UTC).

Oh, no problem. It takes a bit of practice to get used to the policy and formatting, and even if you make a mistake, it can always be undone. Also, be sure to sign your comments on talk pages with four tildes ~~~~ so everyone knows who's talking and when. Also, to make sure you're not making a mistake, use the "Show preview" button next to the save button. It helps keep the number of edits down, too, so that you don't spam recent changes, which boring people like me keep checking. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 20:05, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

Thanks.... I noticed a few weird things....it's be funny if you did too.

First off, thanks for the thingy earlier "forgot name".... but as I was scanning around wiki I noticed a few "off" things, be funny if you did too. Under HFFF there's a link for self healing that I added, so I went to that page to check if it was up-to-date....lol no like 9 dervish self heals were off and stuff, then I clicked to All dervish skills some skills were missing. No one is perfect but I try to be... =]. follow [[hfff] and see what i mean lol. Also failed that one mission really badly.

(Blood234 22:02, 6 August 2008 (UTC))

Of course, I understand that quick typing leads to no signage. Yeah, self heal looks out of date, mostly because those dervish skills that are inserted look like what people would take derv as a secondary for, and nothing else. I'll take a look at it, see if I can't insert the skills you mentioned. And I can. Just to keep up the small talk, what mission did you fail so badly? Also, note that the section say "Common self heals," but I think the ones I'll dig up are common enough. --Chaiyo Kaldor חיו 22:09, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

I failed at Dzagonur Bastion, very badly. I was supposed to take left flank while the monk was supposed to take right. Hate that mission, its the last one I have to do for all of Vabbi to be done, then onward for protector! (Blood234 01:11, 7 August 2008 (UTC))

Heh, I nearly Mastered it with H+H, but I guess some NPCs screwed up my heroes' pathing, so the Margoes capped a second time before I could haul ass there. I really don't like when the bugs, anomalies, and just plain poor NPC skill use are all that prevent easy completion; like how my heroes refuse to snare right in Moddok Crevice. I nearly had Master first time there, too. Anyway, I went ahead and put up some dervish skill on the self-heal page, and I guess you saw the discussion page, so there's no reason for me to point out that they're discussing removing the "common" word from the section, making part of my initial reluctance unnecessary. Anyway, that's fixed to your liking, I hope, and good luck when you try again on that mish, if you haven't already completed it. --Chaiyo Kaldor חיו 14:30, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

Lol well I did Gate of Pain I see why they call it Pain, it litterly is a PAIN! (Blood234 19:39, 7 August 2008 (UTC))

Heh. I have Masters there in nm, of course, but I'm not sure if the bug pops up there. At least, it didn't bug for me, and I H+H'd it. Trying to H+H Gate of Madness nm for masters, doesn't seem like it'll work. --Chaiyo Kaldor חיו 22:34, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

Thank you

Thank you very much for your support on my RfA. I hope I can live up to everyone's expectations. Honestly, I was surprised by the overwhelming support I received. <3--Wyn's Talk page Wyn 07:34, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

Well, I think the real confirmation of support was that there was no opposition. Not even neutrality! Everyone who opened that edit box wanted you as a sysop. Hold on, let me check to see if that's happened before... well, it did five times, but still! Impressive. Congratulations, and good luck. --Chaiyo Kaldor חיו 16:03, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

Too many thanks

You're awesome person apparently. You might want to change the titles of the thank yous later! =) --TalkPeople of Antioch 05:38, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Heh, it's amazing. Yeah, I guess I could change them when I archive. Before you posted this section, half my talk page was "Thank you"s. --Chaiyo Kaldor חיו 15:40, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Sorry Chaiyo

Too many things going on at once, I'm getting frazzled <3 As for the inactive thing, I know my tags are interupting that time line, but.... we have over 500 guild pages that now qualify as inactive, I don't think bumping these few for an additional 3 months are going to kill the wiki as we know it :D --Wyn's Talk page Wyn 22:14, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Heh, it's understandable, Wyn. Like I said, those were just little complaints, nothing to fret. I also understand you skipping over my summary at first, I did have to edit it twice to get it to fit, and that was a rediculously small amount of translating I had to do. No worries. However, you do realize that an apology from you is getting its own special archive page, right? I wouldn't have even noticed until checking my watchlist tomorrow, since I'm currently trying to get in more translation. --Chaiyo Kaldor חיו 22:24, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
Oh.. btw.. while you are translating, can you make sure to add any guild pages to their language category, i.e. Category:French guilds, if they aren't already? Emily is looking for numbers to use when discussing localized wiki's. Many thanks! --Wyn's Talk page Wyn 22:37, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
Oh, of course! Didn't even notice that it wasn't there.
Also, quick question. Guild subpages get translation too, right? I'm pretty sure they do, just want to confirm before I do too much work. --Chaiyo Kaldor חיו 22:40, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
About categories, may want to revise them. I think stuff like Category:French guilds is reserved for nationality or territory, so we would need to create a new set of categories for language (maybe something like Category:French speaking guilds?).--Fighterdoken 22:42, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
Nonetheless, ones identified as French in territory should be categorized; however, I would agree with this. I seem to recall a French-Canadian guild floating around here, and I'm sure guilds like that would appreciate it. --Chaiyo Kaldor חיו 22:45, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
Well, the policy only calls for English translations of required content, and summaries of all additional information, so you don't have to do verbatim translations just make sure you have the gist of what is being said, unless a verbatim would be easier. If it's walls of text, a summary will meet the requirement.--Wyn's Talk page Wyn 22:46, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
And you are right about the categories, but they are also all screwed up anyway, because no one understands the category tree properly. So maybe a tree that looks like of Category:All guilds - Category:Guilds by language - :Category:<language> speaking guilds with a separate branch Category:Guilds by Nationality - --Wyn's Talk page Wyn 22:52, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
(Edit conflict) OK, I'll save any heavy sub-pages for after I finish main pages. I'll just summarize anything over my head.
You ec'd me out of saying the exact same idea! Except I would have typed Category:Guilds by nationality, since that already exists, and pointed out that the same category currently states in its description that it also categorizes by language; so, yeah, that should be altered. But, that's what I get for doing research during a conversation, eh? --Chaiyo Kaldor חיו 22:58, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
I'm going to work out a full category tree for the guild namespace. I'll figure out where to put it when I'm done. --Wyn's Talk page Wyn 23:00, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

(Reset indent) I'll be sure to be avid in tagging when it's complete. --Chaiyo Kaldor חיו 23:02, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Ok Chaiyo, it's here. As of this moment, I haven't created the language categories yet, but I might before I go to sleep. --Wyn's Talk page Wyn 05:30, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Your sig

is messed up; it shows your talk/contrib symbols after the time and before the month. Check you've closed all the tags properly. --User Brains12 Spiral.png Brains12 \ talk 00:22, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

They're all closed right, but I think the way the language changes the direction is what's flipping it around. The code looks different from what I have in Preferences, but I think a couple of changes could fix it. I checked WP:SIG, and it turns out I have to put the Latin before the timestamp. Since I hadn't been approached on this, it didn't seem intrusive, but thanks for bringing it up. --חיו Chaiyo Kaldor 18:32, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

I can add both if you so do desire....it's still being fixed up; I'm a man of perfection! Blood User Blood234 Blood sig icon arg.png 00:59, 27 August 2008 (UTC)

If you really want to. I tend to tweak things to perfection as well, but only if I already have the potential to. I guess I can be described as a lazy perfectionist. I honestly have no clue why that delete on my page hasn't processed yet, but could you please refrain from making radical changes to my userspace? The other edits were appreciated, but the blanking truely wasn't necessary. Especially since it'll be deleted anyway! Not really a violation of anything, though, I just find alerting the user first good form. Anyway, you could write the template so that a parameter changes the link. I'd have to look up the actual code, but here's how it would work: Either it would be inserted as <music link goes here>, or you would give a list of possible music links:
 1. [<First link>]
 2. [<second link>]
Etc., and then the template would be 1, or |2}}, and so on. It looks good right now, but let me see if you'd like it with plainlinks.
User Blood234 rock me Userbox image.JPG This user listens to anything; even religious music!

I just don't like how those boxes break the text lining, and plainlinks are fun links. Just a few tweaks you could try to your liking. I think the code would look something like this, but look at a help page if there's trouble. I'll try it out in my userspace:
{{userbox
| id-c = light
| border-color = dark
| info-c = lighter
| id =
| info = This user listens to <span class="plainlinks">anything; even [{} religious music!]</span>}}

Usage: or

The former because it would be simpler, I'd really have to look up how to do the latter. </wall of text>. Of course, leaving it as is would be fine, too. חיו Chaiyo Kaldor 01:31, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
-_- I'm confused, I understand some of what you said but not all . Yeh sorry bout that, saw the deletion on your user page and thgought to myself "that doesn't belong there". Blood User Blood234 Blood sig icon arg.png 05:36, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
Understandable. Basically, I was just trying to illustrate how the template could be made more appealing. The first example I had was a minor change in appearance using the <span> code to make the text look better. The second was to show how the template could be given a customization feature. The rest is all just code to worry about if it gets done, and if you want it to get done. I'll move those examples to some sub-pages so they won't clutter up this talk page. I appreciate the removal of the deleted template, that's nothing I wouldn't do myself. Working examples for what I was babbling about are here and here. --חיו Chaiyo Kaldor 22:03, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
