Render links
Hey Lemming, I'd like to help out with setting up the red links for Emily's render uploads. Could you take a look at Guild_Wars_Wiki_talk:Projects/NPC_models and let me know what I should do. Cheers, --Indecision 02:41, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
- Just a quick update, I've started by going through Guild_Wars_Wiki:Projects/NPC_models/Core and adding links and names as I felt appropriate (without render at the end in most cases). --Indecision 03:07, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
- That looks like what I had in mind to me, good stuff :)--Lemming 10:43, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
Guild Wars Wiki:Projects/NPC models
With the NPC models project are you going to replace screenshots of NPCs with renders? For example, on Laren there are two images; a render and a screenshot. Will the screenshot, Image:Laren.jpg, be deleted and replaced with Image:Ascalon_merchant_untattered_m.jpg? -- Indochine talk 11:26, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, but in the particular case of Laren he has two skins as he appears pre and post searing. I guess we should label each image accordingly in the infobox or something like that. --Lemming 11:28, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Quick Question?
I don't know where to find a list of Mods/Admins off hand, if there is one, so I thought I'd just ask you. Another user modified my personal page today, apparently tree times, but when I attempt to see the changes there appear to be none and it just says "(3 intermediate revisions not shown.)" What does this mean? Thanks. ~ J.Kougar 00:02, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- It shows 3 intermediate revisions not shown because overall he made no change. I think he was playing with image code or something. Also There is a link to the admin list on my main user page. But it is: Special:Listusers/sysop --Lemming 00:14, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- Ahh, many thanks. ~ J.Kougar 01:32, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- If you clicked on the diff link, the diff will show all the changes made since your last visit, so it may include multiple edits. You need to click the history tab and then compare the individual edits to see the exact changes. -- ab.er.rant 02:32, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- That actually might have been me. I went to your page to check out who it was I was debating, ya know, get to know the opponent. Anyways, I saw your picture and wondered how you did it, so I just clicked edit a few times, but I didn't change anything. Ahh well. Counciler 09:34, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Little Help
At The Shiverpeaks mountain it says only the southern shiverpeaks mountain but in EN you will get Far Shiverpeaks or something, also how can you let it say 2 campaigns cause it doesnt work for me ( btw im dutch sorry for me grammar )Boomer 19:43, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- I guess you mean two campaigns in an npc infobox, you add additional ones with the parameters campaign2 = and campaign3 =. I am confused what your first question might be though? --Lemming 19:45, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- Well in the GW;EN you will get the new area The Far Shiverpeaks right?
- well that should be added to the Shiverpeaks mountains but when i do that and do that campaign1 or 2 or 3 it won't work for me Boomer 19:58, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry I am a little lost, what are you trying to add the Far Shiverpeaks too? There are 4 articles relating to the shiverpeaks currently
- But what are you trying to add to what? --Lemming 20:02, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
A Bit Confused
I thought I might help on some projects after I finished my user page, and came at your user page, saying Emily Diehl is supplying renders, but how can other people help on it then? ~~Brodly 21:49, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- The main task is adding to the lists of different NPC images to show example images and catalogue-ing which npc's use that model. several area's have not even been started yet, like the realm of torment on this page Guild Wars Wiki:Projects/NPC models/Nightfall. Also the render images need to be propogated throughout the wiki, so I am personally going through the NPC categories and checking NPC pages to see what model it uses and if that can be replaced by a render image we have. --Lemming 21:52, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
NPC render
How do i change this image to its rendered counterpart? File:Baasong.jpg to Image:Canthan peasant m sakkat.jpg --Raza 23:32, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- You need to insert this code into the NPC infobox on the page.
- | image = [[Image:Canthan peasant m sakkat.jpg|150px]] --Lemming 23:34, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
To inclued Nightfall sperated into Istan, Kourna, Vabbi, Desolation and the Realm Of Torment? Then I'll begin looking looking for Realm of Torment models Thanks --Raza 00:11, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

A region in multiple campaigns?
Just noticed your change to {{region infobox}}. Can I just ask which region could appear in multiple campaigns? And you also kinda got rid of the auto-categorisation for regions. -- ab.er.rant 02:01, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
- Ah sorry it looked like it was working. The reason I did it was for Shiverpeaks. --Lemming 02:02, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
- Shiverpeaks is not a region. Northern Shiverpeaks, Southern Shiverpeaks and the Far Shiverpeaks are. --Dirigible 02:08, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
- It used the region infobox, but nevermind I rolled it back :) . --Lemming 02:11, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

Polymock
I noticed you added some edits/descriptions for Polymock Pieces. I was one of the people who got one. Mine was the Naga Shaman from Havok's chest in Darkrime Delves if you want to add that to the description.Stormcloud 07:09, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

Dwarves?
Where do we want to put the dwarves since there in GWEN and Prophecies? Personally I think Guild Wars Wiki:Projects/NPC models/Core and multi-campaign is getting a bit too full. Should we make a separate list like Norn and Asura? --Primeval Sentinel Talk 22:54, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
- Yeh I was trying something out with GW:EN, it makes more sense to split races up then have areas. Prophecies only really has humans and dwarves. We could just have a page for all dwarves across campaign as they are probably reused skins. The best idea therefore maybe to have a subpage from Core and multi campaign just for dwarves: Guild Wars Wiki:Projects/NPC models/Core and multi-campaign/Dwarves? --Lemming 22:56, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
- Edit Conflict.........Good idea though --Primeval Sentinel Talk 22:58, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
Do we want an Undead/Ghost page as well? Guild Wars Wiki:Projects/NPC models/Core and multi-campaign/Undead? --Primeval Sentinel Talk 23:08, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

Hey Question
Hey yeah I think I did make the 11,000 article hopefully anet will put up an announcement on there site ^_^. Anyway I have a question. Ive been working on my user page and I have a question were did you get the layout for yours? If you look at mine I started the top but couldn't figure out how to get the pictures to link to places when clicked on. So instead ive just put regular links next to them.Do you know how to fix this? and also were did you get your layout from and if you made it do you think I could borrow some of the html to create the rest of my page??? EdgeBomber 18:39, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
- First of all you named your images incorrect. They have to have User EdgeBomber in the name. Second you can link your images with #redirect"location" --Primeval Sentinel Talk 18:49, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
- Mine is a variation on User:Emily Diehl who in turn took it from the mediawiki page, she has said it is fine for others to use so by all means you can use the code. Sentinel is right though, images on your user page should be named:
- User EdgeBomber imagename.jpg where imagename can be a variable. --Lemming 19:04, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

Hi Lemming64, I see you're very interrested in the evolution of this template. Just want to say that, even if i'm the creator, i'm not the "owner" of this template. Don't hesitate to modify it directly if you see a way to make it better :-) Chriskang 09:19, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Hey, just a quick note about the main page: If you change something there, please change it on the editcopy as well or else it will revert back to the old version with the next sync (or even better, change it on the copyedit and then sync). Thx. =) --Xeeron 09:13, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

Thanks
I forgot to thank you yesterday for watching my back as far as standardizing/fixing the pages I was creating. I'm guessing there's someplace with standard page format that I never found (which you could provide me links to if you have them :)); I had just been using copied code from other pages, which seemed to be working moderately well. If this doesn't make much sense, it's because it's 2:30AM here. Anyways, thanks again. -- Mafaraxas 08:38, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

Deletion of images
Hi Lemming, note that we cannot use Speedy Deletion U1 (user request) on images (at least not with the current deletion policy). Because of this I changed Barek's images to use the normal deletion process but you deleted them.. :P poke | talk 07:12, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
- It depends how you interpret the current policy. I agree the new revision offers clarification on the user images effectively being part of the user namespace, but it is still a draft. The current policy is not specific enough about it to say it is expressly not allowed. In addition you could say that if a user adds a U1 to their own image they are deeming it no longer needed. which to my mind deems it redundant, and you could therefore delete it under I1 if you wanted to be picky about it. --Lemming 11:07, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
- The "U" part specifically states "These criteria applies to user pages only". I read that as a clear non-images criteria, user page is not user space. Although I agree with the redundant image part, it can be interpreted that way. - anja 13:01, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
- In addition to that the current proposed revision of the deletion policy clarifies that user images, correctly labelled, be treated as part of the user space. I see that as stating a clarification of an obvious assumption made by most users at this time. --Lemming 21:30, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

Not orphaned
Hi Lemming, I wondered why the last four images on Guild Wars Wiki:Not orphaned should stay. As you added them to the list I just want to ask you :) poke | talk 17:45, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
- They probably shouldn't as renders exist, though if the image is used (default name) when a page for them is created, it would make it easier to identify which render to use and replace them at that time. --Lemming 21:12, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for being a good sport
I just wanted to thank you for the way you've handled my request for your reconfirmation and the following policy change to make them more visible. A lot of people would have reacted quite a bit more negatively. —Tanaric 22:46, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
- Well thank you, and thank you for noticing, I wasn't expecting this but it is very much welcomed. I hope it goes some way to alleviating the doubts that yourself and Auron might and might have felt. I try to recognise criticism in a positive way, learn from my mistakes and hopefully become a better more wisened person because of it. --Lemming 22:59, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
