Hall of Monuments

Hi Lemi! Long time! Anyway, I added some info to the Hall of monuments page and later it was removed. I was just wondering if I should revert it? I wrote about the fact that when you reach "My guild hall smells of rich mahogany" that the statue has a beacon of light that shines from his head. I also had a picture there of it. Main PvE image for wintersday

Wintersday collectors

Wasn't sure what to do about this page, all information can be found on the Wintersday 2007 page as well as each individual collectors page. Maybe set it up as a redirect to the Wintersday 2007 page? --Kakarot 20:11, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

Also the collector list located here has been added to all wintersday collectors and I have had to revert about half of them because it included incorrect info. Should I revert any of the others since the originals included the location of the collector and what they are collecting and because that is the way all other collectors; both holiday and non-holiday; are done. --Kakarot 21:36, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

The overall wintersday collectors page does seem pointless and redundant to me. However if it was cleaned up it could be linked from the main wintersday page, thus reducing the overall size of that quite large page (once the whole event has been included)

The collector item info is a good idea as it improves efficiency but if as you say the information is not relevant to all of them, then that does need to be corrected. --Lemming 23:54, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

Image:Gnarled staff icon.png/ names for multiple used icons.

Well, i have problems finding new icon names for some staffs, e.g. the icon for the Wicked Staff and the Accursed Staff. The NPC models project used accurate Names of a specific NPC sometimes as well afaik, do you think it's ok if i do so as well? —ZerphaThe Improver 14:10, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Well I made up gnarled staff too, I think it is ok as long as it is descriptive. You could start a project on it perhaps and ask for suggestions. --Lemming 23:25, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Why not using the name of the item that appeared first in game? Or why not uploading both? It is more helpful imo to just go to Image:<Item name> icon.png to find it.. And I think it is not that problem to have more than small icons here ;) poke | talk 23:34, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

yeah, i can remember Backsword gave me that advice someday, poke, so i uploaded for every item name another icon, despite having the same picture. :) but i suppose lemming prefers the other way as the icons are only seen on a gallery atm, and having three times the same is not very nice.

But what about this: to make the icon search of a specific skin easy, we could simply give those pictures with the same icons as another one a redirect to the corresponding equivalent icon, but for that do not include this picture into the gallery.

oh btw right, reminder to self: inform yourself about making project and create one for those icons. suppose not too many ppl know about this atm, but there are surely some that want to help, especially if it's "official". —ZerphaThe Improver 19:08, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

I personally would go for poke's idea. It would also make things a lot easier in case ANet decides to change only one of the weapon's icon some day. It's only a matter of 2 kB each anyway. — Galil 11:07, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

And there is imo a big difference between a monster skill icon - which applies to all monster skills - and weapon icons which get a individual name which does not have any relation to the item name itself. poke | talk 12:44, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

User Images

I know this has prolly been answered 100 times over, but what's the ruling on user images. I was told when I uploaded my character images that I had to tag them with {{screenshot}} and {{user image}}. Is {{screenshot}} supposed to be used on items that are true 'full-screened' screenshots and {{user image}} only on non-screenshot non-in-game images? Today I tagged screenshots with {{screenshot}} and another user went behind me and changed them all to {{user image}}. I just want to know for future reference if I am to tag newly uploaded images how I should tag them. {{screenshot}} should be used on all images that were taken as a screenshot from in-game (it doesn't matter if it is full screen or a cropped image). {{user image}} should be used on all images that are used in the user namespace. As the template says, the tag does not affect it licensing terms whereas screenshot does. See also this discussion. poke | talk 18:36, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

So screenshots taken of characters in game for use in the userspace should have both tags... can you make GWWT so that you can add both tags at once, if you can already, I can't see where to do it. — Rappy 18:43, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Yes they should contain both really. You can select multiple tags when you use GWWT currently. just select both options before you hit the "tag and save" button. --Lemming 18:49, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Reconfirmation

You've got four votes for reconfirmation on your RfA page. According to GWW:ADMIN, the number of votes needed to start a reconfirmation drops as time goes on.
