(Reset indent) I found you 2 seperate meanings to "geek":
"The people you pick on in high school and wind up working for as an adult"
"–noun 1. a peculiar or otherwise dislikable person, esp. one who is perceived to be overly intellectual.
2. a computer expert or enthusiast (a term of pride as self-reference, but often considered offensive when used by outsiders.)
3. a carnival performer who performs sensationally morbid or disgusting acts, as biting off the head of a live chicken." — Dictionary.reference Titani Ertan {{Snappy the Turtle}} 18:45, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

Protecting Your Page
Have you considered doing it? Would/Have recent events change/d that in any way? — Jon Lupen 18:54, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- I second that. At least semi-protect. Titani Ertan {{Snappy the Turtle}} 19:02, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- But then I wouldn't be able to express how awesome Misery is. Also, DE is the man. --67.240.83.137 19:17, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- Create your account. Titani Ertan {{Snappy the Turtle}} 19:19, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- Certain forms of expression are not looked kindly upon. — Jon Lupen 19:20, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- Actually, most of the effort is wasted due to Misery not caring. The only entertaining part is everyone else getting worked up over it. And I have an account, Titani, but the ip feels so much more personal. --67.240.83.137 19:23, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

- If people have gone to the effort of proxying, making accounts is like 4 clicks more. Misery 22:13, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- Given that the vast majority of the crap on your page comes from registered users, I was thinking an edit by sysop/bcrat only level of protection for a duration. — Jon Lupen 22:29, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- While I understand your point, it's not really an appropriate course of action to take. I'm supposed to be available for contact. Misery 22:42, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- It doesn't change the fact that many people vandalize your talk page. Titani Ertan {{Snappy the Turtle}} 22:44, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- The facts and evidence play themselves out often enough for him to see with his own eyes. Whether or not his page gets protected is up to him and him alone. Misery, if you don't want your page protected, so be it. You'll hear no more on this matter from me atleast unless additional, non-duplicate evidence is produced to show otherwise. — Jon Lupen 22:48, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- I don't really think it's up to me at all. I live to serve. Misery 06:39, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
- If it wasn't, I imagine they would have protected your page already. — Jon Lupen 15:31, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
- Unless they also happened to think it was unnecessary and inappropriate. Misery 15:40, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
- I get the impression Salome would have done it, but considering you have the power to do it yourself, decided not to. — Jon Lupen 15:47, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
- I might have the power, but I would consider this to be something specifically that I should not do. It's pretty clearly a sysop task related to day to day disruption and one that directly involves me. You've actually been the only person to mention this solution that I have seen, with support from Titani. It seems to be over for now, but if someone else, specifically a sysop, thinks that it would be an appropriate course of action, they should probably bring it up. Misery 16:05, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
- Sounds fair. Not to play the part of the doomsayer, but I doubt this was the last time. Anyway, I imagine we can consider this case closed then. Carry on, as you were. These are not the droids you're looking for. — Jon Lupen 16:13, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah... locking forever to prevent it ever happening again... Not viable ;) Misery 16:31, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

Dear Misery
If you semi-protect your page, I will have to RfA myself, create 100 sock puppet accounts that will spam Recent Changes 100 times each, and who will forcefully make me an admin. All of that to tell you that I love you. Meow. Moo Kitty PS: Meow —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 83.195.125.70 (talk • contribs) at 00:18, 12 August 2009 (UTC).

Earlier today, the World Economic Forum announced that Norway may very likely become the leader of the world economy in just a few short years. This comes after the U.S., Britain, Germany, and China all reported low recovery numbers, contrasting Brazil's rapid growth which has set a trend for many latin countries in the western hemisphere. Norway's successful oil conservation projects and stable banking system are also standing in stark contrast to many European countries, particularly Iceland which suffered the collapse of Kaupthing Bank, one of the largest banks in the world, last fall.
In other news, there have been no recent reports of men killing grizzly bears with logs. Experts are unsure what could be causing this anomaly, but some suspect that it may be due to parents deciding to simply allow their children to be mauled and eaten as means to avoid rising childcare and education expenses.
This has been your irregularly scheduled news broadcast from the Aryan Broadcasting Network.
