I Cant tell if your being completely and totally unserious about this or trying to rag on ANet for something but srsly. If something is an elite skill then why does it have to suck? Why arent nukers allowed to nuke? why Arent Scythes (specifically designed for large melle damage output) Not allowed to do damage? Whether or not hes trying to prove a point with this he HAS said on several occasion that, well, just about everything that is decent in this game needs to be completely destroyed. Briar, you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Let me explain.

Elites don't have to suck, but being elite is a property on a skill that can be measured. When the effect is more than the cost of it being elite, it's too good.

No, they are not. Scythes are designed to hit multiple people for Zealous and Adrenaline mods. I mean, unless you're Izzy, which I doubt, because even he knows more about game balance than you.
