LOL stealing names from other games lol lol lol.... search LoK BO2 The Cabal Vampire Risistance
Cabal /kəˈbæl/ [kuh-bal]
1. a small group of secret plotters, as against a government or person in authority.
2. the plots and schemes of such a group; intrigue.
3. a clique, as in artistic, literary, or theatrical circles.
–verb (used without object)
4. to form a cabal; intrigue; conspire; plot.
  • Cabal is a term, doesn't have to do with anything, its not like dude picked Gordon Freeman or something, besides, since when is picking nicknames sepose to be free from influences and is subjected to attacks based on notion of plagiarism? -.- P.S. Nope, Cake is still a 'lie' Biz 10:09, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

Havin a hard time[edit]

I've looked at the link you gave me but I'm having a hard time finding just two little things. One, I'm trying to find those user boxes to add on my user page like you do, I noticed others have these images as well and I wonder where to get these. And number two, I'm trying to find out where to make a page for my guild. I've read about how and the template, I just don't know about where I could add it. Verix 19:15, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

OK, to add user boxes, you just add in the template on the page they are on. For example, adding {{User Male}} will pop up as this.

Male.png This user is Male.

To find a list of user boxes, search user box with the templates box checked. Just add whatever it says on the page and if it doesn't say anything, you can assume what the template will be. But if that doesn't work, just copy the data from the edit page. Also, if you want to make your own user boxes, see here As for making a guild, all you need to do is add the guild template which is this, {{guild}} which shows up as this notice to the top of the page. After that, you can add whatever you feel like to the guild page. If you need more help for making a guild, you can see the example found here. Have fun:)Monk.png The Cabal Stalk Me! Ok thanks. :] Verix 19:08, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

Your sig[edit]

Hi there, The Cabal. I just wanted to let you know that your signature currently contains two images, which is against GWW:SIGN. Please remove one of them so that it conforms with policy. Thanks! Kokuou 22:03, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

Hi there, The Cabal. I just wanted to let you know that the policies here can be fucking bitch. Thanks! -- NUKLEAR User NuclearVII signature 3.jpgIIV 14:01, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

Hey, as I also noted at User talk:Justing6, you shouldn't be using a template to insert your signature; just put the actual code in your preferences, rather than in a template. Guild Wars Wiki:Sign your comments has more info. Thanks --User Brains12 Spiral.png Brains12 \ talk 23:01, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, must've missed that. I'll change it eventually, just copied what I had been doing over at PvX wiki because that's how most of them do it over there. The Cabal School Time Yay!? 21:51, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

images[edit]

Hi, When uploading images for use on your user page they need to be named in a specific format: User <user name> <image name>.<file extension>, our image policy provides more info, thanks. Fall 15:22, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

Guild Wars 2 Suggestions[edit]

Greetings!

I'm writing a canned message of sorts to a select handful of Guild Wars Wiki users whom I believe share a similar passion of mine: exchanging new concepts and ideas for Guild Wars. I chose you by simply jotting down names that showed up frequently in the discussion of the GW2 Suggestion Pages here on the Wiki. If you have no interest in the matter or feel that I'm imposing upon you, I will thank you for your time; please disregard/delete this message. If, however, you do have a creative streak and enjoy sharing your ideas with the hopes that they'll some day be adopted into the game you love, then read on!

I like to think that, on occasion, I have have a good idea. And when it's concerning something I'm very passionate about (like Guild Wars) I tend to go all-out. When Guild Wars 2 was announced back in March of 2007, I was very excited! Here was an opportunity to get some of the features I've really been wanting to see in an MMO integrated into one of my favorite games! The question was, how could I get the developers to actually pay attention to any of my ideas? In my naivety, I began posting them on “Guild Wars 2 Suggestion” topics on several forums of popular GW community sites, only to realize that, as more and more suggestions were posted, my posts became buried. I never got the feedback I desired (were any of my ideas even good?), and I could only assume that ArenaNet would have a slim chance of coming across them in all the drivel and flaming that accompanies forum topics.

Disheartened, but not defeated, I decided that I (and many other creative minds) needed a place where they could post their ideas without them being buried... where other players could easily vote on them, and post suggestions of their own! Thus, I created a site called NikiWiki. Unfortunately, either due to my requests for fansitedom going through the wrong channels, or a lack of understanding on ArenaNet's part, NikiWiki never really took off. At around that time ArenaNet set up a “receptacle” for posting Guild Wars 2 suggestions here on the Guild Wars Wiki. But I saw this as only a tiny step up from posting in forums. How does anyone know what new ideas really matter to the players?

So I've decided to take another stab.

I'll spare you any further ramblings, and introduce you to the Guild Wars Feedback Community. All I'm asking is that you take a few moments of your time and visit the site. Create an account if you wish – everything is free, there is no spam, etc... there aren't even any advertisements on the site. I do all this simply out of my love of the game, and a selfish desire to see Guild Wars 2 become the ultimate MMO!

The GWFC is not perfect by far, please understand that it's currently in beta. I hope that with some input from like minded individuals, this site can become a valuable resource for the developers at ArenaNet and folks like you and I who need a creative outlet. Feel free to criticize (constructively or not), make suggestions of your own, or brow-beat me in any way you feel necessary. I've set up a topic for GWFC site feedback you can use, but feel free to write to me on my Wiki discussion page, or holler at me in-game. Thank you for all of your time, and I hope to see you on the Feedback Community site!

Sincerely,

--Brokunn 03:12, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

FA[edit]

<3 and idk about my sig, i pretty much gave up on it since im a total newb at wiki language and what not lol. Sweet Escape 19:46, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

Learning wiki language isn't too hard to do. Mostly it is just HTML with some improvements like with links, using [[ and ]] instead of <a href> which is helpful. Off to play FA now. :) The Cabal User The Cabal Sig pic 04.png 23:31, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

:/[edit]

"Honestly, ANet only cares about PvP, ignoring the rest of the gamer base, those of us who play PvE. Consumables+Ursan+Imbagon=Insta-Win at anything. Not to mention that it screws up the economy... "

How I wish that were true. ANet has avoided balancing PvP for months on end just to avoid pissing off the PvE players - soul reaping, for example, was a problem for years (and still is tbh) that's never been fixed because they don't want to drive off PvE playerbase. The PvE necros always had unlimited energy, and the second they had to worry about something called "energy management," they bitched up a storm. Thus, ANet ceased balancing the game just for you guys.

It might seem like they only care about PvP - which is funny, because on the PvP forums, all people point out is why changes are delayed because of PvE whiners. Truth is, ANet cares about both equally, but are simply unable to manage them. They destroyed PvE because of bad players whining on forums - so the bad players got PvE skills like ursan and buyable stuff like consumables to make up for being absolutely terrible at the game. They destroyed PvP because they were asking for advice in the wrong places - taking PvErs comments to heart on stuff like Heroes' Ascent party size and game types, when those PvErs had never done Heroes' Ascent in their life.

I just want you to know that no, ANet doesn't focus on PvP - only Izzy does. The entire rest of ANet (gaile, andrew patrick, linsey, reggie, etc) all focus on PvE content exclusively. The PvE community have never had competent community representatives, but the PvP community has never had any at all. Keep that in mind before trying to tack the blame for GW's poor updates on PvPers. -Auron 16:29, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

By saying that ANet only cares about PvP, I mean that the majority of the recent balances have been focused on "balancing PvP". Not trying to put the blame on any one. (But tbh, most of the blame does have to be shifted towards the PvE players for being icompetent and "whining" as you stated) I'm not saying that balances are in particularly bad, just that PvE hasn't really had a real "balance" for a while, ie. bugs being exploited, gimmicks that are just as bad as in PvP, etc. They both have the same problems to a certain degree.
So in short, by that line, I meant that PvP is usually in the spotlight, trying to, but failing at fixing gimmicks, leaving PvE as an after thought so to speak. Examples of what I mean. The Cabal User The Cabal Sig pic 04.png 03:01, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
