User talk:Uchiha Lena/Archive 1
Hello, Uchiha Lena, and welcome to the Official Guild Wars Wiki! If you need help with anything, don't hesitate to add a message to my talk page. I highly recommend that you check out the "Welcome to the wiki" page - it's extremely useful as an initial guide. Best of luck and happy editing!--§ Eloc § 09:01, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
Titles[edit]
Please stop bolding the title rows, our title formatting says only the first showable title should be bolded. Plus, why have 5 question marks, one is enough to tell that we don't know the name of that rank. - anja 10:46, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
ooook? is it really that big of a deal that i put 5 ?'s ????? (wow looki here i did it again) i mean what's the point in actually messaging me sayin NOT to put 5 ?'s ????? (oh look i did 5 more again......oh noes. i did it again o.0) ...so anyways. plz don't bug me with the "?" thing, dude. i understand about the bold lettering for titles but don't bother me with other nonsense that is a self-rule. thx.
- The point is to stop the revert wars. You add them, someone remove them, you add them, someone remove them. It would be alot better if we could agree on one way to have it. - anja 11:11, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

Rarity[edit]
I believe the wiki uses the term rarity to identify the color of the item, with white/blue being common, purple being uncommon, gold being rare and green being unique. It really doesn't mean how often things drop. See Rarity#Weapons_and_offhand_items. -- Wyn 16:18, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- w/e you say. had a noob in kamadan spamming to sell the quad for 100k+30e saying it's "very rare" and "he has proof" and to "go on wiki and check". i told him over and over he was misreading it so i felt as though wiki was misguiding people to think they are "rare". sue me. --Uchiha Lena 16:44, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- I am not complaining, and I did not revert your edit, I was just trying to inform. No need to be snappy. -- Wyn 17:01, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- wasn't trying to sound like that, sorry. :( --Uchiha Lena 17:36, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- btw... I added a link to the word rarity on the page so users can easily see what it means. -- Wyn 17:43, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

Userpage[edit]
I simply went to User:NoXiFy/Navbar and copied the code, changed the inclusion link on your page to User:Uchiha Lena/Navbar, created the new page and pasted the code from Noxify's to it. Then simply changed his name to your name, and put in your character names (which I didn't know, so I made it generic for you to change). If you wish to create more tabs, simply add both the image, and the character info (copy/paste the code from an existing one and adjust the character name), and adjust the width appropriately. (edit) If you need more help, just ask. -- Wyn 17:41, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- hmm my thing seems to be broken when i go ot edit my warrior's page. take a look if you have time and tell me what i am doing wrong so i can fix this problem w/o asking for help when i do my other characters. --Uchiha Lena 18:12, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- well now when i go to edit my individual character pages it comes out as a link. i copied and pasted my buds character page and changed all the respecting info to my own (such as character names, accomplishments, gender, profession, ect) yet it still doesn't work. hmm... --Uchiha Lena 18:22, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- Try now with your warrior. Just go add your own information. -- Wyn 18:47, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- cool thx. i see you added the line "{{User:Uchiha Lena/Template/Character table" under the first "user:Uchiha_Lena" part. is that what fixed it? if so, then i assume i will just keep putting that whenever i make a new page for a character? --Uchiha Lena 18:57, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- I created your own copy of the character template. You can make changes to that if you wish, and it will change all your pages, plus, the basic code for you to use to create new pages is there to copy/paste. -- Wyn 19:00, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

Userpages[edit]
- Im like a month late on this one but w/e. Just so you know, your not supposed to edit another users userpage unless they give permission. Which I did not. So for future reference.--Ryudo 09:40, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, and just so you know, proving you can grind titles does not equal "skill" in my eyes, sorry.--Ryudo 09:42, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
- and you're a dumb fuck. wafflez is my fiance so i believe i have PERMISSION to edit it as i see fit. thx.
- Oh, and just so you know, proving you can grind titles does not equal "skill" in my eyes, sorry.--Ryudo 09:42, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
also, and i didn't "grind my titles". only simple-closed minded pieces of trash like you think it requires "grinding". it's called PROGRESSION. and i would to see you do the things i can do. when you come but anywhere NEAR what i can do then pm me in-game and show me. until then, high-end titles employ skill. good day, chump. --Uchiha Lena 19:34, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure Ryudo is referring to this edit to Ryudo's userpage, not the more recent Wafflez thing. - Tanetris 21:51, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
Editing others' userpages[edit]
Please refrain from editing other users pages. -- Wyn 19:40, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- When your edits are reverted, one generally assumes that your edits are unwanted. If you are Wafflez, sign in on that account and make the edit from there. In fact, I would recommend you don't use other people's accounts as it only increases the confusion as to who is editing and why, especially if those edits are disruptive. -- Brains12 \ talk 19:49, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

the wiki page is mine. if you want some info to prove it then by all means go ahead and ask. i GAVE MY FIANCE PERSMISSION TO EDIT MY PAGE --Uchiha Lena 19:44, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- So you are User:Wafflez? If so then I apologize, if not, I don't care if she is your fiancee or who she is to you, she chose to change her userpage, and you do not have the right to change that, and based on the edit summary you left that is visible to the world, I would assume that you are NOT the user in question, if you are, you should be logged in as that user when you make the edits. -- Wyn 19:50, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- leave her page alone. i have every RIGHT to edit her page as i see fit so plz stop messing with it. thank you. you can't pentalize me or her for not wanting to waste her time to get up from bed, turn her pc on, log onto wiki, and edit her page.--Uchiha Lena 19:53, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- Consider the situation: the edits made by Uchiha Lena were reverted by Wafflez; Uchiha Lena seems to be acting in a disruptive manner by editing other users' userpages and personally attacking other users, as well as editing in anger. I suggest that (both of) you calm down and consider the situation from our point of view, as well as discuss and edit constructively and helpfully without shouting and attacking other users. -- Brains12 \ talk 19:57, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- Considering my fiance has only edited MY page you have NO right to say "editing other users' pages" as if he tries to destroy pages. You people have no right to vandilize my page and keep my fiance from editing it when HE HAD MY PERSMISSION TO DO SO! So, you can "calm down". Thanks. --Wafflez 19:59, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- lol nicely said, sweety. these people don't have a clue other than "OMG IT'S A WIKI DESTROYER EVERYONE GET THE UNDO BUTTON READY!!!". it's quite funny. ^^ anyways, we got your page back after 4 attempts so now they will hopefully STOP LEAVING COMMENTS ON MY PAGE and wasting our time. let's get some breakfast. i'm hungry. :< i say we goto Denny's :D --Uchiha Lena 20:02, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- I personally think it's you and your fiancee that need to calm down. We have an policy here that says you should not make major changes to other's userpages (if he had your permission, he should have noted that in the edit summary rather than berating you for your edit). None of us used profanity, or CAPS LOCK with multiple exclamation marks in our posts, or edit summaries. Also, reverting a questionable edit is NOT vandalism, so you can both stop throwing that around. -- Wyn 20:05, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- vandalism. reverting/erasing everything from her page and restricting her from fixing it is one in the same. anyways, we're off now. breakfast time ftw. bye ladies. :D --Uchiha Lena 20:08, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- No, vandalism is reverting edits by the registered user, making nonsense edits, damaging the information. Reverting an edit by someone other than the owner of the page (based on log in name) is NOT vandalism, it's called looking out for another member of the community. But once again, you choose to totally overreact to everything. I hope you have a good breakfast. -- Wyn 20:13, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

(Reset indent) Just curious but how were people supposed to know you had permission when it was nowhere on the wiki? Also please refrain from making edits like this or this as they are considered personal attacks. --Kakarot 20:27, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, let me make this clear. I was talking about MY USER PAGE. The one YOU edited WITHOUT my permission. Way to throw a fit over nothing.--Ryudo 23:42, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
Personal attacks[edit]
Personal attacks are unacceptable. Please improve the way you use the wiki. -- Brains12 \ talk 19:44, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- funny. i hope you said the same to the other guy. --Uchiha Lena 19:53, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- From my point of view, one more breach of the no personal attacks policy will result in a short ban. Please consider how you speak to other users on this wiki before you fling any further insults around. As far as I have been able to determine all the other users involved have simply been acting on good faith by assuming edits to another users personal page were possibly vandalism. It is up to you to clear that up in a calm way, not to start yelling at them because they didn't realise you and the user in question were in a relationship. --Lemming 20:51, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- and how does this make sense when i directly said we were at least 3 seperate times and all they said was "you're lying" (not those words directly but it was what they practically said)? --Uchiha Lena 04:21, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
- No one, neither implicitly nor explicitly accused you of lying; the worst you can rightfully accuse anyone of having done is having made an erroneous, good faith edit on the basis of the available information (or lack thereof). A simple, verifiable explanation would probably have corrected the situation; rather than providing such an explanation, however, you instead chose to make wildly inaccurate statements and to violate NPA. The moment you did that, regardless of whether or not your were right nor even whether the edits were in bad faith (which they were not), you were "in the wrong." Thus, a warning is entirely logical (not to mention appropriate). *Defiant Elements* +talk 04:47, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
- As DE explained this is not about the edit to other user pages themselves, but the tone you addressed your fellow users with in response to the confrontation. No breach of the personal attack rule is acceptable. end of story. --Lemming 20:58, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

...wanting to contiuously spam my talk page b/c they have no life and feel the need to feel "important" about stupid shit? immaturity at it's worst. gfg. :\
i'm only asking one time and one time only and then i am filing for harrassment on my talk page: get off of my talk page about stupid issues and only come to my talk page and add something if it is something BESIDES you people reverting my girls page over and over. just stay off my page if it doesn't pertain to something else!!! simple, yea? yea. good. thanks. gogo! --Uchiha Lena 00:59, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

- Listen. If you want to be a member of a wiki community (yes, that is what you choose when you decide to have an account here), you need to abide by its rules. These rules state that you cannot remove comments from any talk page because, as a wiki, we need to keep records of what was said by whom where. This is one of the fundamentals of a wiki. You can find this here. You don't have a choice as to who posts on your page or not. If you want this luxury, you need to get your own webpage and put a guestbook on it.
- Another rule is that you cannot launch personal attacks on other people, even if you believe they are acting in bad faith. Two wrongs don't make a right, and on a wiki, it is especially important that people abide by this so as to avoid revert wars, flame wars, and any other type of messy situation. You can find details of that policy here. Again, this isn't specific to this wiki; it applies to all wikis.
- As per your partner's page, we as a wiki have no way to know who is related/going out with/sleeping with whom; to us, you are both individual users with no relationship. If you want to let the wiki know that you have permission to edit someone else's page, then you have to put "Edited with permission from page owner" or something to that effect, in the Summary: box right below the editing window before you hit Save. As stated in GWW:USER, it is generally frowned upon to make large edits to other people's user page, so that's why people were reverting your edits to your partner's page, but instead of talking about it calmly on your page or someone else's, you decided to curse people out, and launch personal attacks at them, when they were only trying to be helpful.
- Again, your user page is yours to do with what you wish (to a certain extent), but your talk page is not yours; it is a place where the community can contact you or leave you messages. I strongly suggest you read over the policies before you continue to use the wiki. I don't know how to make that any clearer. Kokuou 01:18, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

As Kokuou points out, by registering an account here, you chose to become part of the community. Given your attitude, which, as you demonstrate above has not improved in the slightest despite numerous warnings, I think it's best if you take a few days to cool down and re-evaluate your priorities in regard to this wiki; I've issued a 3 day ban to that effect. I do hope that you choose to return as a productive member when those 3 days elapse, but if you want to remain a member of the community, you've got to seriously alter your attitude. *Defiant Elements* +talk 01:34, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
Danse[edit]
Contrary to popular belief, Guild Wars actually exists in other countries that speak other languages. "Danse" is French for "dance," so no, it's not "GG ANet." It helps to be less cynical and more open to things you don't know/aren't sure of when editing a wiki whose members are from all over the world. Kokuou 00:10, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

- Coming in on this late and hope Im taking this in the right direction, but what Kokuou is trying to say is that the /danse emote isnt a mistake on Anets part, its really what french people type for the /dance command. If you want to see something weird, try typing /ignore "character name". You dont get an unknown command error, but nothing happens.--Ryudo 11:02, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
- yep i tried that command a long long long time ago and it never worked. :) --Uchiha Lena 17:34, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

Reuploading[edit]
Reuploading an image usually takes a while because of the image cache settings - you can try a hard refresh or wait an hour or so, and it should be updated by then. -- Brains12 \ talk 23:21, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
- lol yeh i already posted in the discussion part of the hero title as to what happened. ;P i personally think the original pic for the r9 emote is by far WAYYYY better in quality and style than the one that has been up for, surpisingly, many many months. --~~
- I prefer the version by JediRogue; the previous version's surrounding is too busy and takes away some of the focus and clarity of the emote. -- Brains12 \ talk 23:33, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
- how so? her image is so blury and pixle-lated that the overall aspect makes the image/rank feel unappreciateable. :{

Shards of Orr[edit]
You said you ran Shards of Orr and gain 50k / 50 min. Is this by running other people, just 600ing it or something else? I'm just looking out for good ways to earn money. -- Karasu (talk) 13:37, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
- yes. you play the 600, you take a smiter hero, and you take a ranger w/ QZ, EoE, and GF; this leaves you w/ 5 empty slots and people pay 10k a run for this so that's 50k. :) --Uchiha Lena 21:53, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

is not a guideline, it is a policy. You need to follow it at all times or face the consequences. After your intial revert of wasabi's edit on his own talk page, any further reverts were a violation of policy. You've been blocked for 3 days for breaking the rules. Please read them more carefully in the future. -Auron 04:10, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
