[edit] Walkthrough

Follow the western edge of the Bukdek Byway until you reach Imperial Chef Yileng. You can either wait for the two mobs of Afflicted to approach your position, but it is safer to move up the ramp the Chef faces and block the Afflicted right on the bridge, fighting them there.

Anomaly.

Sometimes the second group of Afflicted does not spawn. It may spawn if you go across the bridge, but if not, you will have to map back to town and try the quest again.

"As the plague worsens, the poor are being hit the hardest. Food prices have climbed uncontrollably as farmers and merchants have slowed shipments to Kaineng City for fear of infection. Charitable funds have dried up as people worry only for themselves. The emperor is concerned for his people, especially the poor and elderly, and has mandated that his personal cooks prepare food for them. It is a gracious gesture by our emperor, but the Imperial Guard has no men to spare to protect the cooks while they distribute soup to the needy. If you are loyal to the emperor, go to Bukdek Byway and help protect Imperial Chef Yileng"

Accept: "I will protect the cook on the noble quest."

Reject: "I'm no man's chowder hound!"

When asked about quest: "If you would like to help the emperor and the suffering citizens of Kaineng City, travel to Bukdek Byway and protect Imperial Chef Yileng."
