Reported Quest: Random Arena (Zaishen quest)

Error: "Luck be with you; Balthazar's gaze is upon the Random Arena. Prove your prowess and return to Zehnchu with at least 5 victories to show that there's more than just luck on your side."
Should be: "Luck be with you; Balthazar's gaze is upon the Random Arena. Prove your prowess and return to Zehnchu with at least 3 victories to show that there's more than just luck on your side."
Additional info: Also, the Random Arena Zaishen quest objectives in English and Bork! Bork! Bork! text languages were updated to display the correct number of wins required (3, 5 consecutive, and 9); however, the quest in all other text languages still display the old objectives
(5, 5 consecutive, and 15).

This should be handled soon in English; it may take some time to get it taken care of in the other languages, though. Thanks for bringing it up! David Wilson 17:55, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
I checked the quest text and it has been updated in all languages, but there are errors in Korean and Traditional Chinese.
  • Korean: "*BONUS* Win 15 battles in Random Arena" should be 9.
  • Traditional Chinese: "Win 5 battles in Random Arena" should be 3; "*BONUS* Win 15 battles in Random Arena" should be 9. --Silver Edge 00:48, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
For future reference, bugs in languages other than English should be directed to the Localization page for whichever language they are in. That way these issues can be addressed more efficiently. I've notified the proper people, and this should hopefully be addressed sometime soon. Thanks for letting us know! David Wilson 18:42, 5 October 2009 (UTC)

Reported Quest: Polymock: Defeat Fonk

Error: The initial dialogue says "I hope you're wearing comfortable shoes, .". It seems between the comma and dot, there should be the name of the player instead of ", .", unless the sentence wasn't meant to be written that way.
Should be: "I hope you're wearing comfortable shoes, <player's name>."
Additional info: None

I've entered this into the database. Thanks for the report! Leah Rivera 00:36, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
Additional info: The player's name is shown in the initial dialogue, but not in the quest log. —Cake! Ebany 22:46, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

Reported Quest: Securing Champion's Dawn

Error: This is similar to the Polymock: Defeat Fonk issue above. Your character name in the initial dialogue when getting the quest from Castellan Puuba appears fine, but when you view it in your quest log your character's name is missing, ("Little did they expect we would be able to call upon such great heroes as you, .") Link to the image I took of the quest log.
Should be: Should be "Little did they expect we would be able to call upon such great heroes as you, [character name]."
Additional info: None

I've entered this into the database as well, thanks for the report! Leah Rivera 00:42, 24 September 2009 (UTC)

Reported Cinematic: Lion's Gate (cinematic)

Error: The first sentence reads: "Kryta. The City of Lion's Arch. 1582 CC." This is ok when coming from Cantha, but when emigrating from Elona it is still showing that text.
Should be: When traveling from Elona to Tyria, it should show the appropriate number in the Elonian calendar, including the DR (Dinasty Reckoning) notation.
Additional info: None

I've added this to the database. I'm not sure how soon it will get looked at, though. David Wilson 00:32, 4 November 2009 (UTC)

Reported Skill: Sneak Attack

Error: Has its own skill type category
Should be: Part of Melee Attacks
Additional info: Sneak Attack's skill type category is labelled Melee Attack(s) however it is alone in this duplicate category.

I'm not sure I understand. Could someone elaborate on this, please? When I examine Sneak Attack, it's listed as a Melee Attack. Any further information on this would be appreciated. Thanks! David Wilson 17:25, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
When you sort your skills by type there are 2 seperate Melee Attack categories. One for Sneak Attack and one for all the other Melee Attack Skills. Torvarren 01:02, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
Ah, I see. This isn't really a text bug, but I can see why it might be seen as one. I've submitted it to our database. Thanks! David Wilson 17:13, 17 December 2009 (UTC)

Reported Skill: Spear Swipe

Error: Spear Melee Attack.
Should be: Spear Attack.
Additional info: Concise description only. While melee ranged, does not work with Withering Aura or Shield Bash as a melee attack would.

This has been submitted to the database for review. Thanks! David Wilson 22:45, 30 March 2010 (UTC)

Reported Skill: Spirit Light Weapon

Error: Concise description: "Heals for 1...12...15 each second. 1...12...15 more healing per second while within earshot of a spirit."
Should be: "Target ally gains 1...12...15 health each second. 1...12...15 more health per second while within earshot of a spirit."
Additional info: Full description is correct.

I don't see the error. Weapon spells always target an ally. It's called concise description for a reason. I totally missed "heals" -.- - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 16:48, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
