PS, incase anyone's not convinced:
"Save Yourselves!" (Luxon).jpg "Save Yourselves!" (Kurzick).jpg - 8 Adrenaline0 Activation time0 Recharge time - You scream so loud that a highly concentrated burst of sound waves surrounds your allies, giving them more armor than armor gives. ......borrowed from here --ilrUser ilr deprav.png 07:15, 24 September 2009 (UTC)

Interesting is that warriors already can keep it up and have more utility than Imbagons — almost no one that "needs" the armor boost is interested in knowing that. Overall, seems like a step in the right direction though a bit clunkily worded. Ɲoɕʈɋɽɕɧ 09:17, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
Assuming dealing damage isnt a high priority and youre allowed only 1 major and endless minors
Paragon - 10+1+2 spear, 6 leadership, 7 sword/axe/hammer/tactics - 56 armor
Melee Paragon - 3+1 leadership - 9 sword/axe/hammer/tactics - 72 armor (probably highest a paragon can achieve)
Warrior - 10+1 sword, 10+1+2 strength, 7+1 axe/hammer , 6+1 tactics - 120 armor
Warrior v2 - 8+1 sword/axe/hammer, 10+1+2 strength, 7+1 tactics - 122 armor (probably highest warrior can achieve)
Hurray for encouraging bad attributes to be imba Talamare 09:55, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
Someone has to... Allowing so many Gimmick builds that require no sacrifices at all is getting us no where. --ilrUser ilr deprav.png 10:31, 24 September 2009 (UTC)

Linking this skill to warrior primary attribute will prevent any other class to use it properly. Is that what you are looking for ?
All other party members (not you) are buffed by this shout, so it is generally part of rather balanced teams, that don't rely only on one single frontliner to mitigate 100% of all damage.
If you really want it to be better used by warrior than other classes, change its functionnality for a warrior skill, not a nerfed support skill that even paragons don't want it. Elephant 19:32, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

I started this section with Shard's Parody of the skill for a Reason: IE: B/c It's clearly providing way too Armor for way too little "investment". However in my own example I showed how a Plausible Paragon build could still grant +40 which is still a LOT more armor than any other Shout provides ...infact the ONLY way for any combination of grantable buffs to meet or exceed that value is by casting "Stand your Ground!" with an energy cost of 10, while holding perfectly still (or standing inside WaH which is an Elite Ward) and then using Unstoppable (which you would have had to beat the Griffin to get, IE: Master Solo quest requiring the purchase of EotN). ...furthermore, I also proposed increasing it's duration by a few seconds which will be even better for W/P's and P/W's casting Enduring Harmony on key allies.... In other words Pal, it's anything but a huge Nerf to Skilled Players. If anything, it'd be unchanged for them. It's only a nerf for uncoordinated LoL-Bad players. --ilrUser ilr deprav.png 21:24, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
why not then bind th~is skill only to strength, and have a scaling making it good enough, even at strength = 0 ?
between for your maths... assuming tactic skills are useless... a paragon would spread his/her attribute points in more warrior attributes to have more ranks ;) (like 8+7+7=21 in tactic+axe+hammer instead of just 12 for tactic, for example...) quite awfull, isn't it ;)
I don't really understand when you say it is a nerf for bad players... all i see is a nerf to imbagon : less armor, for a longer shout that they can already maintain. Elephant 22:54, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
That was actually going to be my initial approach (all on strength with a high base value of atleast +40) but this is my new improved version to make it more versatile for "pure" warriors and LESS exploitable on Scythe Warriors who already have a bit too easy of a time thanks to extremely high Strength values. ...Besides, Tactics has really been getting the shaft since 2005 and is long overdue to atleast get a frickin' bone thrown its way...which is exactly what I did here --ilrUser ilr deprav.png 01:44, 26 September 2009 (UTC)

No thanks[edit]

well writin but unless the buff all the paragon skills this would effectively nerff paragons from pve.- User Zesbeer sig.png Zesbeer 06:34, 4 November 2009 (UTC)

Which is the entire point... The buffs to command weren't enough. All Spear & Motivation skills need a PvE split Buff as well but as long as everyone just goes P/W, they'll always have imbagons as an excuse not to do their jobs. No one should HAVE to buy Factions just to play a NightFall class at it's full potential in PvE --ilrUser ilr deprav.png 06:43, 4 November 2009 (UTC)

agreed[edit]

The imbagon should be gone. The build is good, but cheap. REALLY cheap. I've played pretty much the paragon alone since the release of NF, and this is the only build I will not play with. It drains every ounce of enjoyment from playing the para. I, personally, believe they should have nerfed this build away with SF. Regardless, I am not in A-net's position, and too many people feel the only up-side to the Paragon is the imbagon... so... yeah...Ζεφ 18:11, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
