Candidate statement[edit]

First, let me state that I hope I'm doing this correctly, as the operation seems a bit vague.

Over the past few weeks, I've been becoming increasingly active in discussions and edits that I can contribute to the GWW community. I spend significantly more time on the wiki than in game due to work, but this might be a benefit as I can help out as well.

I've been spending time lately reading policies and have tried to format my pages in accordance with them as well as communicate to others via in game chat, our guild website, or other means as to they can too.

I'm usually not too opinionated on one thing or another unless it has a direct bearing on me or the greater good of the community, so I tend to stay out of squabbles (with the exception of the Canada availability issue, which, I must say, was quite retarded on my part).

I'd appreciate your feedback and, if nothing more, would love to hear why I was rejected. If you need any more information, I'd be happy to supply it pending its relevance.

Support[edit]

  1. ...

Oppose[edit]

  1. Oppose. I feel that Elviondale simply does not have enough experience here, based on the contributions made so far. --Lemming64 23:32, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
  2. Oppose. Everything I've seen from you, I've liked. You haven't gotten into flamewars or broken policy or been an asshat or anything, but you haven't been around long enough for me to judge accurately. This RfA is way too early tbh - if, down the road, you open another one, I'd be inclined to support (or at least vote neutral), but as it stands, you're still quite new. -Auron 23:34, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
  3. Oppose. I agree with Lemming, and I definetly agree with Auron about you not being here long enough. --User Rein Of Terror sig.pngRein Of Terror (talk · contributions) 23:35, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
  4. Oppose. I have to echo Auron here. While I don't think numbers are a strict thing to go by, I should point out that you have less than 250 edits over the entirety of the wiki, including talk pages - I'd like to see a little more activity from you in general (though there's certainly no strict edit # requirement) before I'd be comfortable supporting you as a sysop. 5. Oppose. Even if it sounds a bit stupid, but "who?". Sorry but I don't think that Elviondale is long (and active) enough around here for adminship. poke | talk 23:49, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
  6. Oppose. Sorry, but I look at contributions too. I'd say very little involvement in community issues or contributions at the moment. Too early for me. -- ab.er.rant sig 02:25, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
  7. Oppose I haven’t seen anything that Elviondale has done to make me want him to be a Sysop. -- User indochine sig icon.pngIndochine talk 16:53, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Neutral[edit]

  1. Neutral. Seems decent looking through contribs, but I haven't run across him in context. —Tanaric 01:23, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
  2. don't see anything bad, but I haven't seen much of anything! — Skuld 20:34, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
  3. Neutral. Everything I seen so far are positive but I think more time is needed to determine if a "support" is in order.--Bane of Worlds 19:31, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
