“Double-click to summon a Merchant ally of your level that lasts for 30 minutes or until slain in combat. Summoning stones can only be activated once every 60 minutes per character, and only one summoned ally from a summoning stone can be present in an instance at a time. This item can only be used in explorable areas.
— In-game description
[edit] Acquisition
From Gift of the Traveler.
[edit] Notes
- Like most summoned creatures, the Merchant will follow the party; however, he moves very slowly. This keeps him out of combat (which is arguably good) but on a long run he will be left behind.
- If the merchant comes within aggro range of enemies, he will attack; during the combat he will be unavailable as a merchant.
- Use of this stone still causes Summoning Sickness, even though some groups call him forth primarily to sell loot and although the merchant is arguably ineffective.
Dropped items may be assigned to the summoned merchant.
