The Historical Monument of Nolani is a site of historical interest, located in the midst of a set of elevated ruins in the Diessa Lowlands. It commemorates the founding of the city of Nolani, once home to the fabled Nolani Academy and now largely destroyed after the Searing. The shattered remains of the city surround this area. In order to take a quiet moment to appreciate the monument, it is necessary to dispatch the surrounding groups of Gargoyles which live in the area.
[edit] Text
The text on the Monument of Nolani reads as follows:
|
Founded: Season of the Scion, 860 A.E. The life of the land is perpetuated in righteousness. This monument is placed in recognition of Ascalon's Chosen and all its members. May their dedication to the nation of Ascalon and the defense of the empire stand the test of the time. |
[edit] Location
The Monument of Nolani is found, appropriately enough, near the Nolani Academy Outpost in the southwest corner of the Diessa Lowlands. To reach the site, exit from the Nolani Academy and walk north to the first set of ruins on your left. There is a terraced complex running up the hill immediately to the west. The monument is at the top of this hill, beyond the first set of broken walls. Note that there are many hostile creatures in this area.
[edit] Notes
- A visit to this monument is one of the steps required to complete the Cities of Ascalon quest, which is obtained from Symon the Scribe in Ascalon City. There are two other monuments for this quest:
- This is a point of interest in Ascalon, and will not appear on the ingame map as a location for quick travel.
