Surmia was once one of the most prosperous cities in the Kingdom of Ascalon, along with Ascalon City, Nolani Academy, Drascir, and Rin. It was one of the first cities to fall to the Charr invasion and the Searing.
Anton, an assassin in Guild Wars Eye of the North, was held here until his escape during the Charr invasion.
