[edit] Crazy Buff?

That was a pretty crazy buff they gave this skill... Unlimited bonus to all healing spells and the duration is so long you can ignore it completely. Josinq's Whisper just became free every monk and their dog just killed the thing to cap this skill.Dancing Gnome 01:37, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

A great update for this skill. Will really help PvE, since no energy consumption, and allows monk to cast quicker for a larger heal. yet in PvP It doesn't really improve, so theres a smaller chance of a nerf.
Yer but run this bar in a 4 man environment, it just doesn't work - you NEED the utility that protection offers. Hexes and conditions and Prot Spirit are a huge weakness to the heal monk. This skill doesn't encourage 3 attribute monks either... it only works for healing and so the less healing skills you bring the less effective this skill is. I reckon protection and healing will be merged in gw 2... they both need to be played on the same bar. Sure PvE this will probably get use now but it doesn't work alone. I wouldn't be suprised to see Arcane Mimicry with LoD and this working together, although with a 2/3 downtime I guess it's not the great. Dancing Gnome 02:16, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
But, prior to this buff, everyone was using protection. There was no reason to use healing, since the prot spells completely dominated it. Now with this buff, it's not as much of a cut and dry choice. --Phydeaux 06:31, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
Dancing Gnome has a point, but I am not too happy about this crazy buff. Just like Word of Healing, theses skills are now just too good, especially in PvE where Healing prayers and their "red bars go up" capability are more needed. Especially for the dumber Hench/Hero monks who are not the best at decision making for protection spells. 50% more raw Healing (excluding Divine Favor ofc), 50% faster casting, 3 second or less res chant (almost tempting to carry a rez spell on the monk instead of leaving it to the others to combat rez), all that together for just putting a 5 energy enchantment up is just too good. It also again widens the gap between Monk Healing and Ritualist Restoration, not a good thing, monks already had the healing monopoly over some niches like N/Rt Healers and to a neglible amount Ritualists. --Longasc 09:52, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Healer's Boon is much greater then Aura of Faith

ehm why should Aura of Faith be used any more? Healer's Boon is now SO MUCH better in almost every aspect that AoF has become so absolute useless.

Aura of Faith Has always been "absolute useless" except before factions, etc... was introduced OblivionDanny 23:42, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
AoF has a very narrow use that is easily surpassed by other, more general skills. It could use a buff. Ayumbhara 06:07, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

aura of faith will never get buffed because it works on ALL healing, divine davor, spirit light weapon, etc

Would be cool to see a Healer's Booned monk cast Dwayna's Kiss on somebody who had 6 hexes and Aura of Faith though hehe. In random arena I would often see my Dwayna's Kiss doing 150-400 (really easy to heal dervish and elementalists who enchant themself and got a hex or two). With Aura of Faith it would be hilarious. AoF is more useful when there are more than 2 monks in a team. Esp. if 2 of them have WoH. HB is more flexible though, as the recharge isn't 25% of the duration. Ninjas In The Sky 12:10, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
