The Kurzick Skill should get a new icon. The icon looks substandard compared to other skill icons. --Longasc 22:59, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

That's how it looks in-game. The preceding awesome-sauce comment was added by Skakid9090. 23:02, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
I think that's what Longasc meant. Looks fine to me, personally, although the yellows seem a little brighter/faded compared to the other Paragon skills.

LOLOLOLOL. wow talk about unexpected buff. ty admins, my imba is even more imba now. Seriously im a para user and i feel that paras have become gods in the pve aspect, haha first save yourselves, now this... whats next? make focused anger maintainable? ... wait, they didnt do that right? did they? =o oh no, dont tell me they buffed there's nothing to fear... w00t!--~Phill Gaston User Phill Gaston Sig.png‎ 17:54, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

Buff[edit]

Nice, a little buff for PvE Paragons for once? My Kurzick title matters a bit more again, to boot. I was already playing around with this skill, I think it just cemented itself next to Barbed Spear now. --User Jioruji Derako logo.png Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 19:58, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

It's cool, but the skill was already powerful enough IMHO. Nicky Silverstar 20:09, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
I'm amazed this was buffed actually. I always considered this one of the best pve skills, and I don't even play paragon. 69.40.250.3 11:56, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
They buffed every PvE only skill to make up for the fact that they killed Ursan, Volfen and Raven. 66.202.1.169 22:33, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

This makes Stunning Strike almost viable, at a low rank, for regular pve play--Justice 08:39, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

Use with Anthem of Flame, etc[edit]

When using this skill with chants such as Anthem of Flame that inflict conditions on the next attack skill, is the condition applied, then the damage from the spear attack? What I'm trying to get at is, if the enemy has no condition, and you use Anthem of Flame, then Spear of Fury, will you still get the adreneline gain? Pony Slaystation 00:58, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

Anthem of Flame doesn't work (it applies the Burning after the attack actually hits, it seems), but strangely, Anthem of Weariness does work. You may need to test skills individually if you're not sure if it'll trigger or not. --User Jioruji Derako logo.png Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 09:07, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
I think it's time I get R1 in my Luxon title to get this beauty.. should work nicely on my CondiHunter.

Removed note[edit]

I removed the note about it having synergy with Anthem of Flame because it doesn't.Axel Zinfandel 05:47, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

Umm... just trying it now, it appears that anthem of flame triggers -before- like anthem of weariness.... tried it alone on the battle field. Anthem of flame, spear of fury (for 6 adren total), two hits and save yourselves is fully charged. Someone else want to verify so I can edit the notes? -- Chrono (talk) User Chrono007 sig.png 20:04, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
it's exactly like you just said, using it while you listening to Anthem of Weariness/Flame will assure you the extra adrenaline gain78.20.153.111 17:58, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

Luxon Icon[edit]

Looks kind of like the tip of a spear when a Weapon Spell is not it. Does anyone else agree, or are there any disagreement-ers? Than 06:24, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

back to back KD chain[edit]

Not sure whether anyone cares about this sort of thing in PvE, but a Devhammer warrior using a spear for a wepswap can actually keep a single target knocked indefinitely without any downtime. Fun to play if nothing else. Talk‎ena. 14:17, 25 February 2010 (UTC)

Synergy with Blazing/Merciless[edit]

On a bar without bleeding or non-spear conditions SoF is still very practical; besides the fact that parties are always throwing conditions around, blazing and/or merciless spear work very well with SoF and decent timing. Blaze and Merciless are in just the right place adrenaline-wise to recharge fully after SoF, meaning that played carefully you can be throwing an awful lot of blazing while rarely lacking a charged merciless when you want it. If you go the Cruel Spear route instead of merciless, the chain-spiking can get truly savage. 75.158.134.214 10:17, 22 August 2011 (UTC)
