Aegis[edit]
Needs to be party members within earshot, so infinite energy chars dont sit a compass away spamming 50% damage reduction. 98.248.90.248 23:33, 6 April 2010 (UTC)

Air of Enchantment[edit]
With current percents even a spell with a normal cast time of one second can't be reduced to ½. It's because the description says faster. If it would say the casting time is reduced, then the ½ cast time is possible with one second cast times. - J.P.Talk 22:12, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
Dismiss Condition[edit]
That's blasphemy, dawg. elix Omni 19:48, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
- I cannot express how much I hate dismiss in its current form. Even though I guess that kind of does it.
- Firstly, it's a reactive spot heal. Why is it in prot prayers? Why are *any* heals in prot prayers? If a prot monk wants to redbar, they can spec healing like they've done in the past. As you can see, I'm moving redbar skills out of prot. I think I might put ZB in Divine Favor, but it definitely shouldn't be in prot prayers.
- Secondly, it's too little too slow. One condition every 3 seconds? Yeah, that cripple/deep wound is never coming off.
- I just don't like it. is for Raine, etc. 20:11, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
- Is there a ginormous problem with allowing prot monks to have 2 spot heals on a bar? One of them require an enchantment (making this one worth a bare minimum of 10 energy for 70 health-ish.)?--Master Briar 20:40, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
- I don't necessarily mind prot skills healing (like RoF), but I do mind prot skills not protting. Spot healing is sort of the opposite of protting: you're undoing damage (and, in this case, condition application). The thing with RoF is that it does what prot prayers are supposed to do: it stops damage (then heals in addition to that). Dismiss doesn't prevent anything; it's a spot heal, and there's already an attribute for that. is for Raine, etc. 21:04, 6 April 2010 (UTC)

I like the new one. Not quite so much healing but would still be a great buff IMO. But dont you worry about it Promoting more cast and forget healing? --Master Briar 08:47, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
- It's a pretty terrible redbar skill, actually. You'd be better of running Mend Condition: the heal is bigger, instant, and unconditional (well, as long as you actually remove a condition). is for Raine, etc. 08:55, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
It's kinda like a Life Sheath but without the spec requirement to remove two conditions. →[ »Halogod (talk)« ]← 21:52, 13 June 2010 (UTC)
Divert Hexes[edit]
I would hate to play hexway against that. Diversion (on three hexes) + hex removal + ally targeting Arcane Conundrum. Ho.ly.Shit. Karate Jesus 20:33, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
- Hexes need to die, but idk if they should die that hard lol -- Tha Reckoning 20:35, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
- Your heal monk would never ever be able to die as long as you drew breath. /sigh what a lovely dream. --Master Briar 20:41, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
- It wouldn't stop causal hexing; when your hexes are taking twice as long to cast, you hit esc and press tab and casual hex something else. At the very worst, you get one hex Diverted and learn an important lesson (unless you're bad).
- But it would totally kittenstomp hex spamming (which shouldn't exist). is for Raine, etc. 20:45, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
- I agree, but holy fuck balls. That's a bit much. Hex spamming has always been some part of the meta, and can be balanced if it weren't for the sick VoR-like power creep. Karate Jesus 20:47, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
- The only things that really lolspam hexes on one or two targets are necroes (and bad water eles), and they also happen to have the best enchant removals in guildwars. is for Raine, etc. 20:51, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
- And bad doms. Karate Jesus 20:52, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
- "...bad..."
- I have 0 problem with skills that lulraep bad players (this has the doubled casting time specifically for that reason: good players will know that it's either a Veil or Divert up, so casting the hex is prolly a bad idea). It's skills that good players can't do anything about that I have an issue with. is for Raine, etc. 02:25, 7 April 2010 (UTC)

Vital Blessing[edit]
Damn! I'll take it! Previously Unsigned 06:23, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
- I like it because it doesn't do anything on its own. If you put it on a spike and it doesn't get infused, they die, anyway. But it's still awesome for buying a couple of seconds for your heal monk. is for Raine, etc. 08:10, 1 April 2010 (UTC)

- Or, you could just pre-prot with something like SoA, or guardian, or spirit bond. Or, when in doubt, pop an aegis! There's no skill slot on a prot bar for this, anyway. And just not being bad is better. Also, conditional health boosts are pointless and terrible. =/ Ryuu - Meow~ ♥ 07:53, 5 April 2010 (UTC)
- it's just a different type of prot, which can be more useful than a simple prot in some scenarios. many spikes have just enough damage to kill a target with 600ish HP (including deep wound), so upping it by 400 would effectively save him from the spike, without letting him maintain 1000 hp for very long. it's a great prot when something is taking damage from a large number of sources or taking difficult-to-prot damage (see also, casters). i'd take this over soa any day vs something like searing flames.
- either way, it's a thousand times better than the current version. giving monks options is the only way out of a stale meta. -Auron 09:13, 5 April 2010 (UTC)
