I WANT TO CHANGE MY UNDIES!!! I DON'T WANT TO GO 250 YEARS WITHOUT CHANGING THEM! D:--Unendingfear User Unendingfear Crane.jpg 03:28, 3 September 2009 (UTC)

This is stupid.-- User Vanguard VanguardLogo.pnganguard 03:43, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
:O Why?--Unendingfear User Unendingfear Crane.jpg 03:54, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
It's so trivial. The chance to suggest new armors and he wants to change his underpants.-- User Vanguard VanguardLogo.pnganguard 03:55, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
But fun. I mean, people will wear their underwear, and it does get old being the same thing for absolutely everyone. :D--Unendingfear User Unendingfear Crane.jpg 03:56, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
I think it's awesome. You're right about the chance to suggest new armor, but anyone and everyone can do that (and has), but I can't think of anytime I've ever heard anyone ask for the ability to change your underwear. Kudos to Satanael. -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 12:52, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
I've heard this suggestion once before :)--Unendingfear User Unendingfear Crane.jpg 12:56, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
Can you imagine the smell when you wear the same underwear 4 years straight?! - J.P.ContributionsTalk 13:00, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
Could you imagine those people who will "remake" their characters in Guild Wars 2? 254 years *vomits* D:--Unendingfear User Unendingfear Crane.jpg 13:01, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
Do you plan on changing every piece of your characters' equipment every single day because you're afraid your monitor is going to start smelling funny? Are you going to ask for bathing scenes next, just to be sure? I hope GW2 does not become that sort of thing. Teddy Dan, yo. 00:57, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
I honestly laughed until I was blue. I think they should focus on more important things, like making it not suck. -- euphoracle | talk 19:07, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
That's not so bad, I mean... it's another money sink and I can see people collecting underwear. Day of the Week undies! Epic panty raids! I guess that depends, though, right? I always got the feeling that GW can't decide how SRS Business it wants to be. --Thrashed 20:18, 3 September 2009 (UTC)

Actually, for those who have been paying attention long enough, they may have seen this idea twice before :P I suggested it back when GW2 suggestions were on Gaile's dedicated talk page (years ago), and then again when suggestions moved to the arenanet portal, and now I've done it again here. It always gets a good reaction from the crowd. There are those who think it is somehow perverted, but in reality I am not asking for anyting perverted, I do not request the underwear to be more sexy/revealing necessarily, just that there are more options. Of course, there are more important things to concentrate on, like gameplay and graphics, but I think it's safe to say they know those are important. Games are also good because of the extras they put in, and I think this would be a unique and fun extra. Not to mention GvG panty raids would be epic, and they could make Revenge of the Nerds references thrughout :D (Satanael 06:49, 4 September 2009 (UTC))

I'm going to have nightmares about Charr in thongs, and crossdressing Asura ...thanks... :P
Actually, it does seem kind of interesting, but I would think it wouldn't be easily incorporated without making some graphics issues and serious lag in outposts/towns. I like character diversity though, so I would think that it could easily be added as an option in the character creation process...and be changeable via the recent "make-over" feature that GW has added. It's not a perfect compromise, but at least would present some options.Gwynna Vive 14:34, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
Or we all just wear our armors like warriors do to protect themselves against the outside world :P Funny feature, but no priority to me ~ Sanna 01:19, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
To me this idea could go horribly wrong. You would get hundreds of people running around in nothing but their undies, which just lowers the class of the game. Also instead of saving for rare armor, they will save up for rare...underpants...Not a good moto for the game. Flaming Hot Chilli 07:33, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
It appears that Flaming hot chilli made a very valid point. You would get hunders of people running around in their underpants, which could look bizzare. Does anyone have a counter argument for chilli ? The only thing I can think of is that it will get boring after a while... Anyone got anything else ? Because I think the idea is great, but now I am a little concerned. User MadSkillz1o1 sig2.PNG MadSkillz1o1 10:59, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
Simply No, I don't think any argument is needed.--Malchior Devenholm 00:23, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
best.idea.EVER. I will make a Guild which ONLY fights in the nude (or as close as we can get) and spit on those who are so ashamed of their pixelated bodies to wear armor! Seriousness aside, it would be cool, but maybe only choosing when you first make your char, because underwear is SUCH a pointless gold sink. Dying it is cool, especially with the multi-layered dying system. Honestly, apart from underwear dance-offs, how often do you run around without your armor on? :P Chibot2000 23:39, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
WOW I was just gonna make a quick comment about yes I like this idea, but it should go to the low priority bin, and I see this essay of responses >.< Seriously? Its just s simple suggestion. Why do people flip out over underwear so easily. I myself am tired of the same boring old undies as well. Especially the bland necro sportswear D: Nay the One and Only User Nay the One and Only SIG.png 09:53, 12 March 2010 (UTC)
Counter to chili would be to point out that, back in the day when GW1 was a lot more popular and there were a lot of casual players etc., there already WAS a lot of people that just ran around in their underwear. back in '05 and '06 this was REALLY common, people had naked dance parties in LA and Droks, naked congas, or just hanging out with no armor on. You couldn't go to a big town like Ascalon, LA, Droks or Yaks without seeing at least a few chars running around with no clothes on. Having a greater variety of underwear won't make these things any more or less common, because when you have a larger player base (unlike now), these things will happen all the time anyway. People are immature in MMOs, and having boring underwear or not doesn't really affect that. Just look at AoC, you can get downright naked in that game, but apart from the initial raised eyebrows, I don't hear anybody complaining, and nobody said it was a low class game or gaming community. The game rose and fell based on its gameplay merits, not its choice of underwear. I agree that this feature would just be an extra, and totally not important, but to say it would ruin the game or lower the class of the community playing is giving it too much credit. Underwear fetish[edit]

^Pika Fan 00:49, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

in stead of guild cape you could have guild underwear...

Funny Idea[edit]

This is total waste, no need in a game like Guild Wars, but pure geniouse! :P

^Eleljrk 01:23, 1.6.2010 (UTC+2)

Really?[edit]

No. This idea is so ludicrous it's painful. Do you really spend hours at your computer staring at pixelated buttocks'? That's unhealthy and you should seek help. I don't want GW2 to become another GRIP (Game Ruined by Irresponsible Parents) because some horny little twit decided to dance around some chat central outpost in his female character's undies because he gets off on half-naked cartoons. If you're going to suggest something, please make it useful. Teddy Dan, yo. 08:07, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

No, I will suggest whatever I want to suggest, that is the entire point of a suggestion area (not to mention the idea of deciding what suggestions are useful and what ones aren't is absurd). See my comments of last March, creating variety in underwear will not encourage behavior any more than having no variety will. The simple fact that our chars can remove their armor at all is what encourages the immature behavior. All this idea is asking for is for the ability to add some variety to a char with which we may be spending the next 5 years. It's really no different than asking for the ability to change our char's hair. (Satanael | talk) 01:40, 16 January 2011 (UTC)
Lack of variety makes things boring. We WANT underwear to be boring, so people don't spend hours staring at them because they're perverse and have no lives. This suggestion is as bad as the one asking for husband/wife NPCs. It's a game. It's not porn. If you want cartoon/3D computer graphic porn, you can find it elsewhere. If staring at half-naked pixels turns a player on so much that they feel the need to get the colors just right, they are sick individuals in need of psychological help. Again, this suggestion is ridiculous. Yes, suggestions can be poor. If you cannot recognize a poor suggestion, it's highly likely that you make enough of them that you've yet to understand what a good one looks like. "Incorporate a toggle somewhere within the UI allowing players to switch between the typical back-side camera view and a more dramatic panning when one performs an elite attack, kills a boss or performs some other action worthy of a dramatic effect." That is a good suggestion. Asking for different kinds of undies to stare at all day is not. If you fail to understand why, you need said psychological help. Teddy Dan, yo. 00:45, 22 January 2011 (UTC)

i can't see why this is at the interaction feedback portal, did you misplaced him? ore are the undies having morse code on it? and i can see people's faces when they play gw2: "o a birthday present, *excited*, ah nooo not a common black-pink-whit-stars-on-it underwear!" Then its the question if you can salvage it(bolth of cloth), ore if it has an armor rating. You know what, they are searching it to far, you just need the option to dye your underwear, not to put images on it!
