I wonder how bombers will feel about Contagion? I never use it so I'm not sure. And what did you do to Vampiric Spirit? Gimme the old one! And funny how an oppressive gaze can cause cracked armor lol. "He just gave me the evil eye and my armor broke!" Previously Unsigned 14:30, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
Atrophy - Making this maintainable is a bad idea, you already remove an ele or ranger from the game with this skill.
FoC - why would you want to remove disease from someone?
OotV - Order of Pain does about the same as this skill but is nonelite. It requires a functionality change to be remotely useful. Koda User Koda Kumi UT.jpeg Kumi 16:50, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
I'm going to have to disagree with these skill changes too, especially since I started a Necromancer when Factions came out (they look sexy in it).
Contagion isn't underused, people use it in Jade Quarry all the time. Plus, it's good for PvE tanking. I use it as a Necromancer with Dark Escape + "I am Unstoppable!" with Shadow Sanctuary and Disrupting Dagger to be a tank, esp. if I'm H/Hing.
Oppressive Gaze is a commonly used skill with Enfeebling Blood and it does some really good damage, especially for an AoE spell it has a short recharge. Oh, and Previous Unsigned, take a look at "We Shall Return!" Coming back to life by being yelled at, that works. :)
Ravenous Gaze this is underused, but what you're asking for is too Godly. If someone ISN'T below 80% health, then they take a lot of damage, and it's spammable, that's rigged. Although, once in HA I did see a team of Nec's use it with Awaken The Blood, Demonic Flesh and Blood Renewal amongst some Dervish skills to heal. We nearly lost to them, so I think Gaze is fine the way it is personally.
Vampiric Gaze is a bit weird to me. You seem to be trying to bring back the OLD Vampiric Gaze, while...doing something funky with it. At the same time I'm looking at your Signet of Suffering, I'm guessing you're looking for an HA team that uses both of these skills to spike?
Your Feast of Corruption...is just a no. Conditions are easy...and what you're asking for is like a Tenai's Crystals or something...
Atrophy is also a no. Wail of Doom works fine to shut down people who attempt to use Word of Healing, but you're asking for a spammable shutdown that's not an elite, again that's rigged.
Vile Miasma I'm fine with the way it is. Spamming it for your little Signet of Suffering and Vampiric Spirit idea as a synchronizing skill is a no.
Soul Barbs also a no. You're trying to make out a combo here of several skills, and we can see right through it. If I can do it, ANet can and your Hex/Condition spiking combo is going to be a no, and you're only trying to help it happen with Soul Barbs.
Order of the Vampire is fine the way it is. It's designed to be interrupt-able so that a spike can fail if they use Order of the Vampire. Than 00:14, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
You are out of touch with what these skills actually do. Oppressive Gaze only triggers bonus damage if target foes are under 50% health, which is never. Spirit Shackles is many times more shut down for most classes than Atrophy will ever be. --Skye Marin 02:21, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
Oppressive Gaze STEALS life if they're below 50% & suffering from Weakness. Still good for farming in PvE nonetheless. Still, I disagree with your ideas, as they seem a bit too overpowered. Spirit Shackles is for something that attacks...like a Warrior or Assassin. Atrophy works on a whole lot more. It can reduce Elementalist energy and make Rangers have to use a lot of energy for a few spells, esp. with their +3 regen on energy. Mesmers will have to deal with the 2-3 second casting time of their natural spells. Warriors won't deal as enough damage without their armor penetration, and Assassins won't have ANY critical strike chance without the use of skills. Now, making Atrophy go on multiple targets? Priceless. Still, the idea is too OP. Than 02:48, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
Oppressive Gaze is shoddy and needs a buff, true, but many of the others don't. OotV for example is hard to get off and thus not that useful, but with a 1/4 sec cast time it would be scarily powerful. Widowmaker 14:14, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
