We are a rebuilding guild, one that is especially interested in new players who wish to get good advice and be among other friendly players. This guild is a member of a full Kurzick alliance. The Einherjar Legion hall is for players over 18 and local chat in our hall is limited only by the Guild Wars rules of conduct.
Einherjar is old Norse and it means literally "army of one". Any warrior who died bravely while heavily outnumbered was declared Einherjar.
After over three years of play, it's pretty clear to us that player versus player and guild versus guild are good ways to cause hard feelings. We don't want that. We want long-term solid players who enjoy the intricacies of taming the game environment in new ways. However, we will eventually enter into guild vs. guild against non-allies. We participate frequently in AB battles and have members doing other PvP activities...just not against each other.
All members who wish to serve as officers should plan on not having absences lasting longer than 3 weeks. Any absence of an officer for a longer period will result in demotion unless you have given someone among the officers a heads up about your absence in advance. No details of why you will be absent are needed, but we need to keep our most active players in this part of the guild, so knowing that you plan to return and how long it will take is information we need to better serve the whole guild.
Our rules are simple...do not insult other players, do not break the Guild Wars rules of conduct, and do not seek to take advantage of other players...be they in or out of our guild.
Only initiate sales of items to members when they have said they need such an item within the guild...the alliance chat is more liberal in this regard. Reasonably priced, infrequent sales messages are ok there.
Use our local chat and guild chat following the Guild Wars rules of conduct. Occasional breaches of this will be tolerated, but repeated violations of that code will result in discipline.
Keep remarks made in alliance chat PG. That is also not strictly enforced but use a little judgment please. Some of the allied guilds allow their children to play or to see their game screens. Putting crude or adult remarks there is therefore not very cool.
That's about it for rules.
Note that clever and witty adult remarks are well within the code guidelines, and we hope those will abound in our guild chat...we want it to be fun to read and participate in, and we want everyone to feel comfortable about expressing themselves. If it can be said on prime-time TV, there's no reason it can't be said in our hall!
Recruitment
Here's the deal:
You need to be an adult...no exceptions. If you are not an adult (over 18), you should seek membership elsewhere.
You need to be an active player...unless you have very good excuses, you might get kicked for any absence over a month long. Vacations and such constitute good excuses, as do real world problems. Going off to play other games for extended periods does not count as a good excuse.
You must be willing to help...being an officer, recruiting, and helping new members get started are responsibilities shared by all of us.
We try to stay within the GW rules of conduct for all in-game actions. See the official Guild Wars web site for what their rules are. We do NOT restrict conduct further for purposes of not offending the sensibilities of others. We do not allow the insulting of other players...that includes calling names, disparaging builds, or snide remarks about battle prowess, and any other things that would cause unnecessary hard feelings. We especially do NOT allow racial, sexual, or gender biases and prejudices.
Contact information
Our frequent fliers are:
Guild Goddess, Dael of Mozula, Mystic Rhena, Daisy of Sarasaland, Hell Belle Sioux, Dj Suptic, Sirah Iceheart
Contact anyone on this list of officers by typing their name into your private message text in the game if you wish to discuss joining us.
Current Projects
As of 10/27/09, guild officers Dj Suptic and Sirah Iceheart will be hosting a Tuesday Night Run. Every Tuesday evening (around 7pm central time) Dj Suptic and/or Sirah Iceheart will be running either a dungeon or a mission (possibly multiple times) for anyone who'd like to join along, be they a guild member, alliance member or even a non affiliated player. These will usually be done in normal mode unless the whole group agrees to hard mode. See the Guild Announcement for more information, or sent a private message to Dj Suptic or Sirah Iceheart if you have any questions.
