Presents[edit]

Ok, I was wondering when EXACTLY it is revealed what present will be for that year e.g. 7th. is it only on the actual day or is it some time before or what? 86.22.19.181 20:12, 15 March 2012 (UTC)

It's part of the announcement of the event on the official website, which normally goes up about a week in advance. They list the main features of the event including what the presents will be. (Although they only say new minis/tonics, not specifically which ones you'll get.) Whether it's announced before that in an interview or something I don't know, it probably varies from year to year. 86.150.26.197 14:36, 2 April 2012 (UTC)
Seems they are recycling old pets (not sure if tonics are included). People are opening theirs and getting a random pet from preceding years. 84.49.75.226 18:51, 25 April 2012 (UTC)

Hounds of Balth[edit]

Got an email about it today, rangers will be able to tame some hounds of balth akin to the GW2 skill methinks. Wonder if it will be a quest line. Aro User Aro Signature Logo.gif 01:29, 25 April 2012 (UTC)

Just noticed the link on the front page "7th Anniversary Birthday Celebration" is actually two links... so yeah ignore the above. Aro User Aro Signature Logo.gif 03:25, 25 April 2012 (UTC)

Move suggestion to Anniversary Celebration[edit]

So it appears that the internal name is "Anniversary Celebration" (based on Matthew Moore's table on Template talk:Special events lookup) rather than "Birthday Celebration". I'm thinking that we should move this page to there. (and rename the categories accordingly) thoughts? -Chieftain Alex 11:46, 18 December 2013 (UTC)

Yes, it should be moved, since the most recent login screen announcement (which will most likely be the automated login screen announcement used in the future) and the guildwars.com pages (i.e. [1] and [2]) also mention "Anniversary Celebration" instead of "Birthday Celebration". --Silver Edge 09:55, 19 December 2013 (UTC)
categories renamed and fixed. pages still link to "Birthday Celebration", but I can work on that later. -Chieftain Alex 11:22, 19 December 2013 (UTC)

Umm.. no Boardwalk this year?[edit]

Why is there no boardwalk this year, and why is the event so early? D: BellonaBacchus (talk) 02:56, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

See Talk:Guild Wars Prophecies#The END?. --Silver Edge 06:15, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

Still it would be appropriate to allow for the Boardwalk, Beetle Races in the final week; would it really require a huge effort on the part of the Devs? BB. Blackbirdx61 (talk) 20:38, 7 April 2014 (UTC)

Best places to farm the 3 items that drop from bosses only during the Anniversary Celebration?[edit]

What are the best or easiest bosses (for each campaign) to farm for Delicious Cake, Battle Isle Iced Tea, and Party Beacon?

I've seen several drop from doing Kilroy's but have no idea if that's the BEST place. 67.246.60.56 01:37, 18 April 2014 (UTC)
That's for Eye of the North right? What about for Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall?
No doubt the low level bosses found in the starter regions for each campaign would be the fastest or easiest if you don't have Eye of the North (raptor farming). I know there's a boss just south of Sunspear Great Hall and one not far from Sardelac Sanitarium. There's three Yeti bosses in Jaya Bluffs which has synergy with feather farming. Too late for this year, but if you're still doing this next year, Tahkayun Tsi is about 15 seconds outside of Ran Musu Gardens on Shing Jea, and special event drops aren't affected by the anti-farm code, so you can hit him over and over. This year I did feather runs, and I hit him after every run before hitting Seitung Harbor to merch and dump stuff in storage. Ailina (talk) 17:55, 4 May 2014 (UTC)

Final date?[edit]

Wiki article says May 5, website says April 29. I completely forgot about this until late last night. Am I SOL on getting the storage voucher for yet another year? Shifuimam (talk) 23:03, 1 May 2016 (UTC)

Ends on May 6 UTC as indicated in the article, not May 5. The website date of April 29 is incorrect. --Silver Edge 04:34, 2 May 2016 (UTC)

Charr bosses and Pre-Searing droprates[edit]

I remember reading a few years back that during the anniversary, Charr Salvage Kits and Charr Bags have a higher chance to drop in pre. I swear it was mentioned in the launcher. Tried looking it up but found nothing, thought it was just Mandela effect. But I did 1 Charr run since the start of the anniversary out of curiosity and already got a salvage kit. I did dozens of runs this past year and got 0. Maybe a coincidence, but through my anecdotal experience stretching back years they do seem to have a much higher droprate during anniversary. That's where I get like 90% of my bags and kits despite doing much fewer runs in these 2-3 weeks than during the rest of the year. Would be nice if other people helped test this too. --MostDefinitelyNotHanz (talk) 17:02, 15 April 2025 (UTC)
