I liked his model until now...how will the new one look like? And why did they change it? What graphical issues excisted there? —ZerphatalkThe Improver 13:29, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

When was the model changed? Backsword 13:31, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
Just last night. 24.0.66.172 13:33, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
He has 15 in Healing Prayers in NM since he healed me for 180 with his Heal Area. MageMontu 14:23, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
He looks the same to me... how did they change it? Has he always been evil? Was there a part of the White Mantle story I missed which said they were all evil behind the scenes? SystemisFlawed
Evil is pretty relative. Both the White Mantle and the Heroes of Ascalon were pawns. From the perspective of the player, the White Mantle did all the wrong things for the right reasons, while the Heroes did all the right things for the wrong reasons. The BMP sheds a bit more light on this, and heavily implies they're all just a bunch of good, honest, folk who were truly used by a greater power (as the heroes were). Overall, the major players seem to be "shades of grey". --Mystisteel 00:28, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
The White Mantle murdered innocent people. Confessor Dorian is totally evil. Ramei Arashi 06:15, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
It's really all about perspective. Plus evil is too strong a word. I for one understand what the White Mantle were doing and, to a certain extent agree with what they were doing. They did what was best for their gods. There are people doing far worse in real life for less valid reasons. 122.62.148.13 12:40, 19 June 2011 (UTC)

=Notable?[edit]

Just a coincidence that dorian is also one of the major modes/scales of music?--96.244.250.239 15:40, 9 May 2011 (UTC)

Animations[edit]

if you look closely, he casts heal area by hitting the staff downward, and he attacks like he is throwing the staff --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:GreenEarth28 (talk).

Please sign your comments with four tildes. There are many skill activation animations, and which is used, if I recall correctly, depends on gender, cast time, target, weapon, and profession. Depending on what you mean by "hitting the staff downward" and "throwing the staff" there's several existing possibilities. If he doesn't use the male monk animation set, then it would be reasonable trivia to find which he does use. Perhaps you could test it with some heroes on the Isle of the Nameless? I tried several myself, but I can't be sure based on your descriptions. Manifold User Manifold Neptune.jpg 17:59, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
I would truly like to know what model he uses but I think it's a model entirely unrelated to any profession. ϺЄЄ☺ 12:14, 28 February 2011 (UTC)
I thought it was dwarven --you like that don't you..The Holy Dragons 16:01, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
Edit: He does kind of look like it huh? Probably no real relation or reference though, just another rich short dude. ~Farlo Talk 06:55, 29 May 2011 (UTC)

Jafar[edit]

Confessor Dorian=Jafar from Alladin? I think so. Me And My Sin --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Me And My Sin (talk).

I think you got the whole signature thing wrong, either you didn't put the four ~~~~, or you used the wrong format to link to your page. Try this page for how your to setup your signature. ~Farlo Talk 06:27, 29 May 2011 (UTC)

Source for Lion's Arch being called Hakewood and Dorian called Schessler during closed Alpha[edit]

I took the information from this post : https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/members/Spaced-Invader-1823/showposts. Lion's Arch being called Hakewood was echoing with the information already on the wiki, and the post was also mentioning this trivia. Also, the Confessor is also named Schessler in The Protectors of Kryta.--Ruine User Ruine Eternelle Ruine Eternelle.jpg Eternelle 19:01, 26 March 2020 (UTC)
