- Is this due to increasing political tensions? --Riddle 00:14, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- Yeh I was somewhat curious as to why myself. -- Salome 00:14, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
Pretty sure this could have waited for the monthly update (one more day likely), instead of getting everybody excited over nothing... Frosty 00:15, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
Boy I hope the next update is better than this. --smøni 00:18, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

- This seems like a rather large undertaking honestly. It probably is better that they did this before the monthly. I'm sure they are trying to minimize the number of problems that may arise.~>Sins WDB 00:26, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
Even more bots and language spam in American districts now? --71.240.11.243 00:28, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- aw dang! I saw that the game had been updated, gasped, and then awed when I saw the one line in the update notes. Are we getting some big or at least meaningful update tomorrow? --SetandSpike 01:46, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- Big? maybe. Meaningful? not likely.--76.115.115.108 02:12, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
The move is most likely a cost cutting measure available as a result of a diminishing Korean player base. Nothing political about it, idiots. 218.214.126.215 06:43, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- When the koreans leave, it's GG --adrin 09:58, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- You all assume there will be another update today ... in a post on her talk-page, Linsey said something that might indicate that there won't even be an update right now. So don't get your hopes up.

- Under "Balance Update?" (52) she says "I don't know right now. I'm meeting with Izzy tomorrow (hopefully) to discuss possible balance issues I have observed and when or if we will address them" which doesn't say this month's update won't happen, but to me it sounds like a potential skip. Anyway, we'll see tomorrow, just saying, don't hold your breath (you never should, better to breathe) :)

Migrated 50,000 bots from Korean to North American servers. (sorry for the translation, i had to) --adrin 02:19, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- Great now my already unbearable lag will become even worse! Hopefully they'll listen to my email about shadowsteps for the monthly update. -_- Invincible Rogue 02:31, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
Oh, and btw....tourny points are delayed a week. Good update! 75.61.32.166
- They did it because Korea is geographically close to the USA, so it makes sense to use those servers. --Lytel 04:18, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
Adrin, you're fired btw. --Riddle 04:21, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah... but it's closer to China and Japan, so why did they merge it with the US? Ladu 04:24, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- Are not bots from China? if so, all this comments are very pointless and ignorant! --NeHoMaR 04:26, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- @ NeHoMaR: "Bots" are not what you think them to be. They do no come from a specific location. A "bot" is a program that scripts keystrokes and button presses and plays Guild Wars for you by doing so, allowing you to go AFK. -Lena™ talk 04:33, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- True Lena™, but china has some of the biggest botting firms, for love sake these guys get payed to create bots and buy(steal) new accounts every time one account gets banned for botting then continuing the cycle. With Korea closely following.--TroyVoy88 05:16, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- LOL! of course I know what a bot is! I was trying to "educate" ignorant people that think Korea, China and Japan are the same, so they think every single country that write with "weird" characters, they all use bots. --NeHoMaR 02:47, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

- This is creating something FAR WORSE than LAG for me. Ever since the update I disconnect at random even when there's not lag or slowdown. And it still doesn't make sense why they did it. Haru 21:56, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
Wasn't the Sever in the Korea NOT owned by ANET?[edit]
I though I remeber reading somewhere, that the server that was in Korea was not owned by ANET; but was loaned out to host the game? Like back when all those accounts got hacked on that server about 2 years ago? Maybe they eliminated the server to cut cost in this economy along with the political tensions raising... lets hope the leader of Korea doesn't QQ that his account is now on American soil 0.0. - SabreWolf 05:44, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- Kim Jong Il's son plays GW. The power he gets is generated by peasants running in giant hamster wheels. --Riddle 06:25, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- lol. I think I also read that about the Korean server not being owned by ANet. But I honestly don't think that it is in North Korea (of which Kim Jong Il is leader). People in South Korea, though, are allowed to know of the world outside. Paddymew 06:30, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- Wait a second.... Eun Jong = Kim Jong Il? --adrin 06:44, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Next update will probly consist of another pokemon center! Skill update will be postponed another five months in order to shrink the PVP-playerbase some more. Tournament Points PEOPLE !!! <<< That's what we waiting for now, not this Mickey Mouse update?? Jaba Manaka
- They're delayed a week. Regina said so on guru. Karate Jesus 15:15, 11 June 2009
- tournament reward points provide good gameplay and brings back the pvp playerbase. okay. -- Mafaraxas 07:31, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
