Bosses[edit]

Nazeem the Damned[edit]

While doing the level I didn't get the chance to collect any information on Nazeem (party killed it before I could click). Information on level and profession is needed. The boss features in the last 1/3 of the level. Jonny Arrowhead 18:42, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

Bonus[edit]

I was able to complete to bonus with Oink's help. As you pass through the fort, steer clear of the side with the Lion's Arch gate (where the voice about "will my pig be okay" comes from). Run through the south gate and follow the yellow dots up to the chest with the book in it. Oink helps tank some of the AOE from the Phantoms. Subpop 01:54, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

HardMode Tip[edit]

Dont speak to Justiciar Hablion once you reace the beach, instead, just carry on past him and kill the undeads, the mission will end as normal once they are dead and you dont have to worry about him running off and getting killed. (Cal 04:24, 14 May 2008 (UTC))

Shortcutting the mission[edit]

While farming emblems over the past few months, I noticed that a Ghoul would occasionally spawn behind a gate in the northeast corner, where the massive undead spawn occurs after you wipe out the mobs near the entrance. The Ghoul is a prisoner there, incapable of attacking your party, and is readily snuffed out. Today, I decided to see if I could explore that area he is always trapped in.

Using Necrotic Traversal, I jumped past the gate and found that the fenced-off area connected to the swamp where the final showdown takes place. Wiping out most of the undead (I still had one Skeleton Wizard remaining) there brought the mission to a successful end, despite never fetching hablion or meeting any other objectives. While I managed solo, I assume a similar setup as is used in Dunes of Despair would allow a whole party to jump across.

Gates is a relatively easy mission, and since using the shortcut pretty well precludes doing the bonus, this is probably not all that useful unless you just want to try it out for the fun of it. SarielV 20 x 20px 12:02, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

do you have a screen of this? ie where the ghoul is? its a long shot seeing as you posted this a littled over a year ago...--Talk Page‎ Zesbeer 09:28, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

Really late to add to this..but behind the house where you get Oink (down a ramp) there is a gate with a tree blocking the center of it- with Recall and/or Heart of Shadow you can easily jump through the obstacle using 1 other player. The path takes you directly to the final swamp with the undead. In addition, if everyone brings something akin to Recall, all members can easily jump through for a quick finish.--House Asmoadi 14:36, 29 November 2010 (UTC)

Other Campaigns?[edit]

So, is it correct that once this mission is complete, someone in Prophecies will be in Lion's Arch and therefore will be able to move to other campaigns? Torin 08:50, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

Right. You really don't have to do this mission, you just have to get run to LA from Ascalon. --User Tero Gein sig.jpgtero 16:33, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

Hablion and Drakes[edit]

On a couple of occasions, after Hablion leaves you to goto the pulled up bridge leading into Lions Arch, he's been aggro'd by a couple of lightening drakes in the water below, causing mission failure when he dies. Just be aware of this, hang around with Hablion for a few minutes, see if the Drakes approach, if they do kill them. Anon-e-mouse 23:42, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

Farmers[edit]

I noticed today while repeatably trying this missionon Hard mode that the farmers that come running towards you tend to be spawned randomly. The left farmer was 2 times female, and one male. the right farmer was male, female, and then male again. Perhaps all "standard" NPC's in this mission are randomly determined? AidanReed 11:42, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

It's more likely that the asset server has multiple versions of the same NPC, a male and female version both named Farmer with the exact same information in them. Usually if there is more than one model for a character and they both share the same name and information one of the models will be randomly chosen, This can be seen with almost any NPC. Try it for yourself, go do a mission that has say, Prince Rurik in it, like Ruins of Surmia, and then repeat it. He'll have a different sheild each time. (Reset indent) My anonymous edit adding the Wintersday note got reworded, but the new text doesn't read well IMO. Being a GWW:n00b I don't want to revert without a consult, especially as TEF made the edit. Comments? Robdalf 02:11, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

Everyone should be comfortable editing any article; the goal is to have the most helpful wiki and collaboration makes that happen. You didn't mention a specific concern, but I noticed that the farming bullet in Trivia was similar to the power leveling idea in Notes; I combined them and used the existing (power level) text that describes the technique. I'm not sure how easy that is for someone to follow, unless they have already farmed the area with someone else...so I hope you can take a stab at it.
Incidentally, I think the mish is more popular for farming DOEs than XP (easier ways to do that), so I think it's a good thing that you added the note...and I think it deserves to be mentioned in Notes.
Have a happy and a merry.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 02:58, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

Fish[edit]

If anyone would like to know, it is not possible to harm the swordfish and other fishes seen swimming in the small pools of this mission. Elsewhere, I haven't tested... but nonetheless. Method tried: Agony and Destructive was Glaive. Why bother? Maybe sometime, someone would like to document slayable wildlife? --Quiesce 02:19, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

Bug[edit]

I'm not convinced the last line of text is bugged, it's a fairly common english device to repeat the same line back to someone when you disagree with what they're offerring using different inflection. If the reply was spoken and the had the emphasis placed on the *you* and said in an agressive manner the meaning is changed completely. BorisDePig 20:31, 25 March 2010 (UTC)

If "you" had been meant to be emphasized, it would've been in all-caps ie, YOU. That's why most people think it's a bug, although I agree with you. 76.71.82.225 02:13, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

Okay[edit]

I've been wondering about this damn red light, near the end of the mission, been seeing it forever. Here's a screen.

Fantastic Information, pal. --Eavil <3s You 05:26, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

I saw it too and I took screenshots of it, I thought maybe it was Vael watching us... Or possibly Abbadon... o.o --ShananylDracon (talk) 00:55, 18 August 2013 (UTC)

Squished[edit]

My character got squished by the bridge at the end of the mission during the cut scene. It didn't affect mission completion, just wondering if this had happened to anyone else? Kaelyn Angelfoot 15:40, 24 April 2011 (UTC)

Lightning drakes attack each other - Bug?[edit]

Anyone notice how the 2 groups of lightning drakes attack each other at the lake just after you have returned the tome? I would say that is a kind of bug because it is unusual behaviour--77.99.24.102 23:13, 22 April 2015 (UTC)
