Possible Trivia[edit]

When Nicholas Sandford collects enchanted Lodestones in Pre, he talks about Yakkington having trouble sleeping, and he uses stones similarly to how he is using Luminous Stones. --24.159.219.162 22:27, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

yea i would say that's trivia.- User Zesbeer sig.png Zesbeer 23:56, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

Missing a word?[edit]

In this sentence: "Perhaps it'll even be useful survival tip for you.", are we missing an "a"? -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 17:38, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

Could be possible, going to recheck that.. poke | talk 17:54, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

Warmth[edit]

I find it funny that he needs something to keep warm in a desert environment, but not in the snowy mountains.- Giant Nuker 02:59, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

You don't know? It can be really cold on desert during night. - J.P.User J.P. Christmas sig.pngTalk 03:01, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
Oh I do know that but it's much colder in the mountains. - Giant Nuker 12:12, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
Though when one travels into mountains, one prepares for the cold, and when one travels into the desert, not everyone prepares for the cold of night, especially if a local item would help. -- Konig/talk 15:16, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

Ruby Djinn Essence[edit]

I have low wiki-fu and don't want to screw the page up, but 11/01/2010 dialogue is "Have you ever heard of the great artificer Zinn? Well, he has me out here searching for a Ruby Djinn Essence. I don't know why, but for some reason I empathize with the little guy. The last time we met he was muttering about running out of something, and he was fretting about the power core redesign of his latest construct. I'm not entirely sure what the Ruby Djinn Essence has to do with it, or what a "power core" even is, but I figured I'd help anyway. You'll let me know if you find one before I do, won't you?" Hope this helps! BorisDePig 18:20, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

Zen Daijun[edit]

Just noticed the trivia saying that it's a reference to the Lord of the Rings, but There And Back Again is actually another name for The Hobbit, in which Bilbo Baggins is the main character. It's mentioned in 'Rings, but it's not a name for 'Rings. I think the trivia should be corrected to reflect this. -- User Elveh sig.png Elv 13:45, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

Go ahead. -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 14:04, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
Done. It could probably be worded a little better, but I decided to keep it simple to avoid the trivia section turning into a lecture on Tolkien. I have a talk page for that. -.-* -- User Elveh sig.png Elv 21:45, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

Worn Belt/Elonian leather[edit]

Would it be worthwhile to note how he makes the comment of how long the worn belt leather straps lasted? I'm pretty sure everyone that had a pre character after his introduction has given him worn belts at some point…Taka Ragranok 18:47, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

I'm sure he had something else after, you know, pretty much 8 years. -- Konig/talk 03:53, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
Edit:Nevermind, I thought that Nick had collected something else in post to replace the straps. Seems I mis-remembered. Yes, a note would probably be worthy. Perhaps one in the trivia section at the bottom of this article. -- Konig/talk 03:54, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

Linking trivia section to the source.[edit]

Would it be possible to link the trivia section to the source quote? It's faster to click than ctrl+f... Aro User Aro Signature Logo.gif 08:39, 29 November 2010 (UTC)

Since the page goes by year for sections within the old dialogue, that's not possible as far as I know. -- Konig/talk 09:01, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
Was thinking along the lines of manually adding an anchor then linking to it. Not sure if that would be the proper wiki way of doing it, or if there is a wiki method. Will try it to see what the result looks like later if nobody has a better idea. Aro User Aro Signature Logo.gif 09:09, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
This method seems to work... Aro User Aro Signature Logo.gif 20:19, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

To prevent this page from becoming too large[edit]

Instead of re-adding the old dialogue, I have a proposal for something that makes far more sense (to me). I have created a sandbox here for said proposal - which is to organize by location rather than date. In the event of altered dialogue, in which there are three currently, I have "first visit" and "second visit" added to the dialogue's heading; so we would only add onto the large list of dialogue when there are alterations (I do not consider fixing typos, should such happen, to be self-worthy of a duplication, btw). The only thing left in the prior link is to check the order and placement of links, and perhaps adding trivia of dialogues newer than "Dragon's Gullet (10 January 2011)" - by the time this is agreed or disagreed upon, that should be done.
So, yay or nay to switching out? Konig/talk 22:36, 17 January 2012 (UTC)

Seems like a good idea to me --Combatter 07:27, 18 January 2012 (UTC)
It's done. Konig/talk 23:55, 31 January 2012 (UTC)
So I take it we still add the "new" dialogues to this page, even if they are the same as first time he visited same spot? Gaudy Gourd God 16:18, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
We keep the current dialogue up to date, and add any new dialogue (same spot, different words in box). Konig/talk 17:27, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
"I do not consider fixing typos, should such happen, to be self-worthy of a duplication, btw"
I may have added Arborstone's current dialogue before checking the Talk page....
Arborstone's current dialogue pretty much only had a couple typos fixed. So... I'm not entirely certain what ought to be done. Leave it as is, remove the updated version, change the old version to reflect the way it is currently, or what, I'm just not sure what would be best. What do you guys think? --Leviticus Lo 18:36, 16 July 2012 (UTC)
It was most likely a transcribing error made by Poke the first time Nicholas was collecting Stone Carvings in Arborstone, since the {{sic}} template wasn't originally added by Poke when he added that dialogue. --Silver Edge 04:42, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
Possibly. That'll work then. :3
Oh, by the way, I've a query that may not necessarily belong here but is somewhat relevant-ish. The partial revert, where "{{Anchor|Resplendent Makuun}}" was readded. I removed it not knowing what it was (which was kinda stupid in retrospect xD), so I'm just wondering what it actually does. --Leviticus Lo 08:14, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
It's for the Resplendent Makuun link in the trivia section (Nicholas the Traveler/Dialogue#Trivia). --Silver Edge 08:21, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
