So, how did Palawa gain 4 levels sleeping under the ground for a few centuries?User Ereanor sig.jpgreanor 04:21, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

He farmed Gophers. -- scourge 04:48, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

More importantly, why does he have a doorhammer in his mouth? Nicky Silverstar 13:19, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
In the norn fighting tournament he must have a third skill to resurect his minions, i didn't had time to find out. lussh 13:19, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
Obviosly he got that doorhammer beating his head against the spectral gate to his cageLord Zepherr 06:22 May 11, 2008 (UTC)

yeah, i want it to Rhonin Soren 18:21, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

Lich or Mummy[edit]

There are contradictions listing Palawa as both, does that mean both equally apply (like Carven Effigy)?. --Falconeye 04:28, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

A lich can be a skeleton, mummy, zombie, or what-have-you. It isn't a mechanical type, just lorical. -- Konig/talk

66% speedboost[edit]

Methinks this guy has a speedboost of 66%. I activated Junudu Tunnel when i got OUT of a junundu, (Thus i ran 66% faster then normal) and it looked like i was at thesame speed as palawa was. Worth checking out? 77.164.165.114 20:42, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

Need more lore[edit]

Well, with halloween and gw2 etc, we should probably start updating the joko page a bit to add a bit more lore or something at the least.132.205.103.57 14:29, 1 November 2010 (UTC)

Do we need to? --Neil2250 User Neil2250 sig icon6.png 14:31, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
Halloween lore: yes. GW2 lore: no. GW2 lore goes to the GW2Wiki. -- Konig/talk 23:06, 1 November 2010 (UTC)

Notes[edit]

I just updated the note on his alleged speed boost to make more sense. However... do we have confirmation that it's really 40%? Someone up there thinks it's 66%, and I can't tell if any objective research was done to find an exact number, or if it should just be changed to say that he runs "considerably faster" than human players. Thoughts? --76.166.187.131 18:58, 13 April 2011 (UTC)

It's easy enough to test (although it occurs to me that his speed might vary depending on which quest or mission). I'm good with faster (considerably faster is...not very helpful; it's a very subjective term).  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 19:03, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
Looking at the edit history, it looks like someone changed it to 66% from just "faster", then someone changed it to 40% from 66%. Should I change it to say "faster", then, until we have more solid information, or should I leave it as-is on the assumption that whoever changed it knew what they were talking about? (And yes, I agree with you that he may move at different speeds depending on the mission, especially if we're in Junundu in one of them.) --76.166.187.131 19:19, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
Faster seems safer; usually if people have a good reason for putting a specific number, they say so (in edit summary or talk). I think the spirit of assume good faith is to believe people when they say they have tested; I don't think it requires us to accept unsupported precision or theories based primarily on anecdotal information.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 19:54, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
'Kay, changin' it. Thanks for the input. :) --76.166.187.131 20:00, 13 April 2011 (UTC)

Origins?[edit]

I have long wondered just what spawned ol PJ, hopefully in GW2 we get some insight into his original origins. And by origins I don't mean "he came down from the desolation...." if he is undead that means he was once alive and thus had an origin. Had he been demonic and not also undead we could probably just chock it up as another bastard child of the Foundry Nay the One and Only User Nay the One and Only SIG.jpg 07:10, 22 September 2011 (UTC)

The only thing we got is that he was an "up-and-coming king in Elona" when Thorn was alive, whose own lifetime is unknown but roughly ranged between 358 AE to 640 AE (the online time period that royalty of Elona and royalty of Kryta existed at the same time). Konig/talk 14:10, 22 September 2011 (UTC)

Boss or boss-like?[edit]

According to Scarred Psyche, PJ is a boss-like foe. The two articles are currently out-of-sync with each other. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 01:20, 25 October 2011 (UTC)

Not anymore - Falconeye did a double woops in changing Scarred Psyche's listing to boss-like foe (he has an aura in the challenge mission, btw), while marking him as a boss here. Konig/talk 01:27, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for fixing that. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 07:54, 25 October 2011 (UTC)

"Funny/Comic Relief Villain" Archetype[edit]

I must say, I love how this guy is such a stereotypical, comically humored villain character. Look at his speech in Bone Palace and his "Motivating Insults" skill, lol...I hope this kind of attitude about him carries to GW2 71.194.87.164 07:22, 21 April 2012 (UTC)

I love that as well, He reminds me of Skeletor from He-Man in a lot of ways 118.209.225.109 08:19, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
