Talk:Quivering Blade

The map really shouldn't be here. It needs to be (a) uploaded onto the wiki and (b) put on Sun, the Quivering's page. I left it in so that the original editor can do this, but will remove it if nothing happens here for a while. --Snograt whisper 00:06, 25 February 2007 (EST)

Heh, forget it - there's already a map on Sun's page ^^. Removed --Snograt whisper 00:07, 25 February 2007 (EST)
The sword this comes with sucks. Raptaz 13:59, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
Dazed is meaningless to a warrior unless you have Plagued Touch or Plague Sending. If you look at it that way, it's a +40 damage strike you can use every other hit with "For Great Justice". For the attack rate of a sword, it's not so bad. --Eyekwah 11:49, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

ITS USELESS!!

Please sign your comment with four tildes. Also, why is it useless? Its the highest additional dmg sword skill other than Dragon slash, with an insanely easier to manage adren cost. And if its blocked, OH NO, Dazed! Wait... You're a warrior...FleshAndFaith 23:11, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
I always liked this skill because daze is worthless against a warrior. I always lol at people who daze my warrior, blind my casters, etc.- VanguardUser-VanguardAvatar.PNG 13:08, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
And allow me to correct myself... This does the SAME dmg as D Slash with 6 less adrenaline to charge. This is the sword variant of Cleave. Besides, plague touch is still a viable option.FleshAndFaith 05:54, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

Underpowered[edit]

This skill is underpowered. Look at Cleave, it's axe counterpart. It has no disabling or dazed crap. THIS SKILL SUCKS. 76.235.135.238 07:00, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

This has already been discussed, read the comments above. Jogden (talk) 07:55, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
Seriously, are you so inept that you cannot read a few lines above you and comprehend the meaning? This skill is disabled for almost no time at all. Dazed? What kind of warrior do you run that Daze wrenches?FleshAndFaith 20:34, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
Hamshower, obviously ;) Andran Steel 04:35, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
Axe is damage, sword is trickery. The protocol is obvious [1]. Noctarch 23:28, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Cleave does less damage. Swords also have different utility. For example, to cripple someone, you just need one skill, hamstring, or Crippling Slash. For Axes, you need two, one to do deep wound, and Axe Rake. Axe Rake is also conditional. The two areas are quite different. You really can't compare them. It is like comparing Flare to Ice Spear. Yes, the only way you could get Cleave to do more damage than Quivering Blade, is to get lucky enough to either get a critical hit, or get lucky enough to hit a higher max damage value. Against a target with no blocking, I'd take Quivering. Against a target with moderate blocking, I'd take Quivering (Seriously, four seconds down time. You have other attacks you know). Against a target with lots of blocking, I'd probably not fight them without Cunning. FleshAndFaith 19:18, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

Edited Acquisition[edit]

Was following the quest chain to cap this one. Headed Sun's way during A Monstrous Revelation and found out he actually spawns during that quest, so you don't need to finish the entire chain to cap this- just Refuse to Drink. You'll finish A Monstrous Revelation while headed in his direction anyway, so it's killing two birds with one stone. I've edited the article to reflect this. :) -- User Elveh sig.png Elv 21:45, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

This change would have been fine if they just let it work on foes casting a spell. --Don Knowall 11:55, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
There is already a warrior elite that does that exact thing. Skull Bash or Crack or something. 122.104.165.13 12:17, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
They should make this a daze every time attack that causes weakness to the user. Then, you sacrifice power (or undergo constant condition removal) for dazing the enemy. 75.89.14.70 05:38, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
Except skull crack is 9 adren and requires an interrupt and doesnt do extra damage and works with any weapon? wat?67.164.57.79 05:43, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Eh I realy couldnt complain about it before. I mean the sword was lacking on the consistant dmg modifiers and QBlade gave it what it needed. The recharge time and the daze when it was blocked was of little to no consequence when considering the time it take to build up the adrenaline to use any other pure dmg sword skill. and now though its not quite the spam happy dmg skill it was before it does give a bit more tactical uses, and thats what the sword is all about Tactical presure on the enemy. 70.6.52.198 04:34, 15 August 2008 (UTC) Auron Lives

Related?[edit]

How exactly is cleave a related skill? --68.32.187.152 11:49, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

Low adren, similar +damage. With the recent change, its not as similar though. Lord of all tyria 12:07, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
