Talk:Scrying Pool
I completed Northern Ally during sneak peek, and after finishing Vanguard today I can see the third vision, but not the second. I'd really like to watch that, fill in some gaps. -- Arkhar 22:33, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
I am having the same issue. I think it was because I did not visit the pool until after I had done the Norn and Vangard quests, with no visit in between Tagon 08:34, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
- Also having this issue... very annoying. Mesti 03:35, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
One of my friends and I were questing, and we did the Norn quests together. The Norn was my first race, and it was his last race...so I unlocked The Second Vision and he unlocked The Final Vision. We went to the Hall of Monuments so he could show off a few things, and then I watched my vision while I was in there with him. This apparently glitched something, because my friend cannot watch the final vision now. Xapheus 02:38, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
I have a different glitch too. I did the first 2 asura quests (and saw the first 2 cinematics), and after doing them, I went to my HoM, and watched the second vision (for the first time). But then I go to rewatch the asura cinematics, and there is no choice in "See past events" to watch the Asura story. I tried going through one of the quests again with someone who has the quest to see the cinematic, but no dice. I wish Anet could fix this. :( Edit: Oh,and I have all the norn cinematics in my HoM.
- I completed a primary quest, and got the third vision without getting the second. Then got the theird again, then the last. I completed the game, but I still can't see the second. MithTalk 15:41, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
Cutscene Suggestion:[edit]
Since after you beat Eye of The North, you can use the Scrying Pool to view the cutscenes for EoTN, wouldn't it be nice to view them from all campaigns?69.129.199.244 12:17, 23 January 2010 (UTC)
Why is it that YOU can make it work?[edit]
"Just lucky, I guess" is not a satisfactory reply. It has been hinted that the character is special, in many, many ways; if you have gone through all the campaigns, you have been "Chosen" by the White Mantle, Ascended, and completed the Flameseeker Prophecies and beaten both the Mursaat and the Titans, became an emissary of the Envoys, came Closer to the Stars, and well, killed a God. The Ebon Vanguard has been trying hard to get the Pool to work, but then you come and presto! It works! Why? --190.0.25.238 15:03, 12 March 2010 (UTC)

wisdom[edit]
- when you first enter the HoM you're talking with gwen,
- gwen : this is what we've been guarding.
- you : looks like a scrying device.
- how do we know it's a scrying pool... just looks like an ordinairy pool to me :P The Holy Dragons 14:33, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
Link to Abbadon[edit]
You know water is his thing (actually Water and Knowledge, which I can loosely bend to Knowledge from Water(!!!)) and it seems to have been there for a looooooong time, possibly built by margonites?--Mark, het Beest 07:13, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- How can the sea margonites (before they were Abbadonified) sail to the shiverpeaks(no water) and build a huge tower (which doesnt strike me as how they'd build something) without getting wiped out by the bear people (Norn might say ZOMGINVASION) and then leave? They'd go to a place with a different climate where they might as well freeze to death, just to climb up to a place they have no reason to be, just to build a tower thats not even finished with a bowl of water in the middle o_O DemonicFahrir 08:00, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- We have no idea how far the water (of the crystal desert sea) reached, and they can't walk there to build an oracle? To my knowledge there are plenty things build by humans which are faaaaar from our civilization. And they might have gotten an omen from Abbadon, like plenty of people seem to have in our world. As for the towerbuilding, they did that in the crystal desert aswell.--Mark, het Beest 08:08, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- I just cant imagine that sea faring people(who'd i figure wouldnt just leave their life on boats behind) would sail all the way to Tyria the continent just to get on land, make a journey that takes months into the mountains, to get to a patch of land surrounded by water just to build a tower there with a bowl of water. If abbadon told em to build that tower there, why the HELL would he do that? Wasnt he like, busy distributing magic/preparing to attack the gates of heaven? The tower doesnt look like architecture from the Margonites to me, considering what they built was mostly from the boats they used to get to the desert. - Maybe the Eye of the north was build around the scrying pool? >.>--Neil2250 15:09, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- You get to the Eye of the North after Abaddon is defeated, and Grenth took over the water domain when Abaddon was imprisoned. Abaddon kept only knowledge and secrets. If I have to guess, the ruins would be Seer. We already know that Seer ruins are all over the place, but people just don't know it. MithTalk 15:12, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- If it was a Seer ruin and they are all over the place, then wouldn't there be Eyes of the North (or at least similar buildings) everywhere in guild wars? Plus the Seer are evil, haven't you seen how they tricked us in releasing the titans by wiping out our just and righteous Unseen rulers? So why would they help us defeat the Great Destroyer?--Mark, het Beest 16:22, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- Abbadon and the margonites are evil too... plus ive never seen the seers as evil anyway. How exactly would they know about Komalie? The Savior 23:44, 2 April 2011 (UTC)
