Talk:Warrior armor
Render uploads[edit]
Just so you guys know, the male images in this gallery are going to have to be slightly wider than their female counterparts because of how broad-shouldered they are. The only other option I had was to put a bunch of white space around the female images, but I didn't think we'd want that either. In any case, the scaling will be a little off between male and female warriors. We may be able to fix that by just changing the pixel size for the small images, but it's up to you guys. --Emily Diehl 17:26, 2 March 2007 (EST)
- We had this problem at gwiki too. Go ahead and use the one size for males, and we can specify the thumbnail size separately so it doesn't look off. - BeXoR 17:28, 2 March 2007 (EST)
- (Edit conflict) Had the same problem over at guildwiki, we will think of a solution :)
Btw, what helm IS that on ascended Gladiator's? I've never seen it in game, just in concept art. Is it newly added? — Anja 17:30, 2 March 2007 (EST)- Wow, it looks neato. :O - BeXoR 17:32, 2 March 2007 (EST)
- Hm, I am going to have to check on that actually. For the time being, I'm going to pull those shots. --Emily Diehl 17:39, 2 March 2007 (EST)
- Wish I had seen it :( --Maoric 18:47, 9 March 2007 (EST)
- I have the picture - I pulled it from cache after it was deleted. It might be fun to capture it somewhere as a curiousity as long as people understand it isn't available in game. --Aspectacle 19:01, 9 March 2007 (EST)
- I think it's available in some concept art set or in a game manual also, at least I've heard people seeing it elsewhere. — Anja 20:02, 9 March 2007 (EST)
- If its not too much trouble, you can open the finished rendered images into Photoshop, extend the canvas size to that of the male, and move the female warrior to the center? The Ice Master 22:46, 31 March 2007 (EDT)

- Any particular reason of why almost all armors are dyed yellow? - NeHoMaR 11:39, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
- They are dyed their old default color, the one they had before the gray update (and the one they would have had if they were introduced before it) - anja 11:41, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

Buggy thumbnail[edit]
I can see a slight error on the page: Under Prophecies prestige armor art, the elite templar thumbnail is wrong, and is showing the same as the elite platemail. Not sure how to fix this... --BramStoker (talk, contribs) 02:46, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
On this page? It's showing right to me. - BeX 02:49, 27 May 2007 (UTC)Sorry I was looking at male. I'll try fix it now. :S - BeX 02:50, 27 May 2007 (UTC)- Er.. that's bizarre. It's a cache issue, you can see the image Image:Warrior Elite Templar armor f.jpg is correct. Usually thumbnails would have updated by now. If it doesn't fix itself we'll bug report it. - BeX 02:51, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
Silver Eagle vs "Dwarven"[edit]
http://guildwars.incgamers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=462832 (it should really be called Deldrimor though) - BeX 08:06, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
- That's kind of strange. I do hope that they make an easier way to store armor... --Talonz // 17:01, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
The Mystery Dragon Armour[edit]
My PVP warrior uses factions "Dragon armour" but there is no record of it here. However there is and elite dragon armour but it says that the standard version is prophecies "Wyvern Armour"
Can someone plz tell me whats going on?? --The Thunderbolt Guy 19:59, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
- If you read the infobox at Warrior Wyvern armor, you can see that it mentions that the PvP name for that armor is Dragon. :) That means, it looks like Wyvern but is just named Dragon. - anja 20:05, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
hero armor[edit]
i was wondering if peopled like the addition or if it dosnt belong or what im thinking it should be added to each of the other profession pages.comments ideas? 75.172.43.176 05:11, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
- I like it :D — ク Eloc 貢 21:50, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
- the biggest problem i am havening is the image sizes for the most part i am just guesstimating so if some one wants to go in and resize them to match the other images that would be awesome.75.172.43.176 06:33, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
- i added hero armor art to all of the professions. like i stated above the image sizes need adjusting and deiced to name each section 'Hero armor art', that seemed to make the most sence also i was thinking when you clicked on the name of the hero it would bring you to there gallery but thats beyond me and my wiki skills.75.165.113.67 07:28, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
- It doesn't belong Hero Armor already has its own page. Drogo Boffin 16:40, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- Depends on if you see heroes as a "separate profession" or warriors, really. I don't think it's an important addition, but I'm not opposed to it either. - anja 16:42, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- No I see them as not player characters. They have unique armor and therefore it should remain on the Hero Armor page and there only. Drogo Boffin 16:48, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

- Ok, I didn't see this discussion here before as i first checked elementalist armor talk page (where I first noticed it) and then general armor talk page (where I would expect such a discussion) I oppose:
- Heroes of their own pages
- Keep pages as light as possible
- 99.99% (ok, that's my estimate) of the visitors to these pages come to check player armor
- people who want to check hero armor can visit the relevant page which can be accessed via the armor navigation box on the general armor page.
- --Jill Bioskop 16:59, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- And apparently I can't read as it is discussed on the general armor talk page, sorry about that! --Jill Bioskop 17:10, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- I reverted my edits for now. Let's see what comes from this discussion first. I don't want to start a one man crusade ;-). --Jill Bioskop 17:20, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- It is not a one man crusade. If the hero armor is added to the player character armor pages then we would have it in both places. Also when people want to see hero armor they search for Hero Armor not armor. Hero armor has its own page let it stay there. Drogo Boffin 17:30, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- There is no problem with having it in both places.-- Wynthyst 17:32, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- The armor pages are for Player Characters. For that reason the Hero Armor page was created. Drogo Boffin 17:33, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- Actually we have <Armor art> armor as a summary of all armors (from all professions) with that armor art, and we have <Profession> armor as a summary of all armor arts for that profession. As heroes have a profession as well, having it listed here is perfectly fine. poke | talk 17:38, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- I agree with that, but Jill also has a point with the size argument. The pages are big already with all the images, more isn't helping. But I don't know how bad it is because my connection is quite fast. - anja 17:41, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

Hero armor has its own page for a reason. Putting it on the player character pages is not only uncalled for but stupid. Drogo Boffin 17:54, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- It's not a player character page. It's a profession page. - anja 17:59, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- A profession page for character players. When you search for Hero Armor where does it take you. That is all that needs to be said. You cant play a hero. And heros only have 3 types of armor and all of them are unique and therefore belong on a page to themselves. Putting them on the player character pages is just redundant. Drogo Boffin 18:03, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- You can't play NPCs so why do we list all NPCs on this wiki? o.O Delete them and redirect to player instead!! poke | talk 18:04, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- It looks stupid and it doesnt belong and is also redundant. Edit...Lets ask the bureaucrats and see what they think. Drogo Boffin 18:10, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

(Reset indent) I don't believe all the data surrounding hero armor needs to be on this page, as that does more appropriately belong on the Hero Armor page, but having the images is fine.-- Wynthyst 04:11, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
- It all belongs on the Hero Armor page. That is why it is there. Drogo Boffin 05:13, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
- Having a gallery is not the same as having all info on this page. A gallery is meant to help overview and give you quicker access to armor you might be looking for, not give all info. We don't have info on armor rating for players on this page, so why would we have hero armor rating on it?
As a compromise we could just keep that link to hero armor galleries and remove both info and galleries from this page. Would that work? - anja 08:06, 3 May 2008 (UTC)- Yes. I love that suggestion Anja. I still believe that the Hero Armor stuff doesnt belong here. But if you are going to do something go all the way, dont just do it half way. (Reset indent) I removed the information, left the images, but made the hero armor heading link to the hero armor info page. Does that work for everyone?-- Wynthyst 13:23, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
- works for me, i made the change to the warrior first and let it be for about a week before i made the changes to the other pages. that is why i added the discussion here, so i could get feed back. but it should also be noted like it is said above i made a discussion on the main page as well way before i made the first change here. i chose warrior because i thought it would get viewed the most. also hero's are something that you can use, and customize unlike npcs. yes they do have there own page but its not organized by profession and this is. i wouldn't mind an even further compermize of just havening a link at the bottom of the page that says something to the effect of "warrior hero armor art" and that would bring you to a gallery of there armor sets. as i stated before i was guesstimating the size, and i do agree that they need to be smaller.75.165.97.72 00:49, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
Dye[edit]
Should really leave the pictures on the armor without dye unless you have a subset of dyed armors. When looking at the armor to see what you want would be alot easier to have it look like it will when you first buy it. Brian78wa 18:22, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
Eternal Armor[edit]
I believe that there should be an extremely expensive armor similar to fissure of woe, but it makes you have the shader of eternal people...
You would be able to buy it after finishing the The Hall of Heroes (arena), or fissure of woe.
It would be the same armor as various eternal people wear (Such as Eternal Lord Taeres) in the fissure of woe.
Hopefully you make this armor, Kalizar 02:37, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
Avatar of balth[edit]
Personally i like the obsidian even though its pricy but that i would give for balthazars armor =D68.34.3.71 07:48, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
Dyes[edit]
What dye combination is used for the gold colour on the majority of the warrior armors shown? I tried silver/yellow and it looked different :S Chibot2000 00:21, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
- Just yellow, no other dyes. --Aldarik 00:23, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
- Aha ok I skipped the obvious xD thanks Chibot2000 18:38, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
Total of prestige[edit]
Not remotely useful. And it's inconsistent with other armor pages. --JonTheMon 23:21, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
- I agree. A total price is only useful when buying the thing whose price is listed. Buying one full set of prestige armor at a time is quite common. Buying 18 full sets of prestige armor at a time falls well outside the realm of normal gameplay. --Irgendwer 01:03, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
- Also agreed. Worse it was totally ugly where it was. Including it in the table itself reduces the ugly, but it really is just an exercise in pedantry. Further, I believe it would be next to impossible to carry that many sets of armor at one time. It should go away. --Max 2 17:09, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
